Sure! I definitely need to work to add on more in the future but on Twitter robochai (Gale Galligan) and foxville_art (Anoosha Syed) are two artist that have worked with book publishing and have some really good insights about it. I also follow GraphixBooks and RHKidsGraphic (Random House Graphic) which are graphic novel publishers and have really great in depth info as well as a look at new graphic novels coming out in the future! Following Random House Graphic has been especially useful as they have quite a few threads talking about pitching to them, working with editors, etc.

If anyone else has other recommendations feel free to add on!

I just have to plug this amazing program here: https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/publisher/ It's basically a replacement program for Adobe inDesign, but waaay cheaper. If you're like me and have sworn off Adobe, I highly recommend it. I've been messing with it all day to begin setting up my first volume for print, and I love it so far, especially after trying other budget publishing softwares. Can't recommend it enough.

I just finished the new Baby Sitters Club book from @robochai. The art is great and the story is heartfelt without feeling like a kids book. If you're in the market for a gorgeous graphic novel for any audience I would strongly recommend it! 

(I will also say Gale Galligan's other work is just as good. I would highlight her lovely Garfield fan zine Jon. as a big favourite.)

If you go up the mountain and seek out a certain cave, you might meet the Lurkdragon.

Come prepared and they might help what ails you. Usually all they ask for a spell is some news or a trinket (bring whales and bring fossils, but never ever bring whalebone unless it is a fossil), but for bigger spells they might send you on a quest for ingredients.

And do not harm the cat.

Bit early for my time zone, but I thought I’d start cranking these out when I get home from work. So, here’s day one! I’m using @robochai’s hilarious Sonatober prompts. Most of these are likely to just be riffs on Lurky. They’re usually a pretty friendly dragon, but they can be intimidating when they want to be.

I cheated a bit and did a pencil undersketch on Lurky and Urist, and will likely continue to do so as the month goes on. Sorry, I just can’t get something that looks decent to me without it most of the time! If there can be NaNo Rebels, there can be Inktober Rebels, too. :-p

P.S. I love crosshatching.
