min yoongi performing stray kids’ grr for rkapr19eval !!                ( && the april fool’s prank! )   featuring mentions of @rkjeon, @rkpcy !!
everything leading up to the evaluation day is a whirlwind. it’s a busy month attempting to learn the chosen dance and learn how to perform it properly; it’s been easy the last month-- so yoongi can only push himself more and more as time passes. at least he has jeongguk to help him, and chanyeol and the other trainees that offered to be in their group as well.
the overall performance goes-- fairly well. there’s a few mishaps, maybe a bit slow on the dancing but yoongi thinks it goes well enough. nothing is really said about it-- and once finished they’re at ease, resting and watching the rest of the performances, yoongi thinks that everythings eased just a tiny little bit.
until the coaches leave, until the cameramen leave, and until the cameras suddenly collapse and break with such a loud sound it makes him jump. the silence that follows after is almost eerie, yoongi and every other trainee in the room staring at the mess of all the cameras, crashed and broken on the ground.
yoongi gapes. an uncomfortable feeling curling in his gut, and he takes several steps back-- as if keeping himself as far away from the mess as possible would make it seem like he was excluded form the entire thing.
once the coaches return, yoongi just wants to disappear. the anger, the ire from them and the accusations are awful. blaming them all for the breaking of the equipment-- throwing around atrocious prices and expenses and yoongi doesn’t understand. he doesn’t get how they fell down but he knows damn well it wasn’t him, or any of his group members.
when a coach turns their attention to them, yoongi can’t help but flinch at the anger. he grits his teeth and stares back, hears jeongguk’s argumentative words and chanyeol trying to reason back-- and he can feel the aggravation radiating from the both of them. and yoongi stays silent, trembling from both the sheer irritation of the situation and the anxiety of possibly having to do something about it even if they weren’t involved at all.
but really gets him angry-- is when they’re all led out like cattle going to slaughter, forced to wait until everything’s finished. and once that stupid gotcha! is yelled following the video of their so called prank-- yoongi nearly cries from sheer anger of it all.
what a cruel fucking joke. he thinks. it’s not funny, not to him, and not to the others around him he’s sure. it was terrifying-- and he can only imagine what the other trainees that were kids felt like. it’s an awful situation, and while he’s glad he doesn’t have to pay for any damages or the like, it leaves him in a very awful headspace at the end of it.
april fool’s fucking sucks.

                                                                                              -- 6th APRIL 2019
They’d worked on this as a group for just over a month now, coming together on weekends to practice the choreography with Yuta at the lead. Not that he necessarily needed to hold their hands throughout the process. Hyunjoon was quick at picking up the moves, Minseok was dedicated to perfecting them, Jeongguk was a natural at it. Each of them could hold their own to varying degrees of skill and for Yuta, that left him focused on bringing them together as a group and working on their synchronisation. Still, even when they were practising, it was fun to come together. Minseok brightening up the room whenever they paused for a break, Hyunjoon and Hyojeong sharing their inside jokes, Minho’s soft energy being given a chance to be polished off and encouraged into something more. Yuta had noticed some minor awkwardness between Jaehyun and Minho, but brushed it off as nothing more than nerves. It’s not as if he knew Minho to be energetically extroverted. Every weekend had begun to become something Yuta looked forward to, seeing them bring together everything and watching each of them help one another through any difficulties that came up.
A month passed by quickly, leaving them sharing glances after the camera was set up and the music started to fill the inside of the dance studio. It was not an easy routine and Yuta was proud of how much effort each of them had put in. Slacking was always an option if they weren’t serious about what they were doing, but he wanted to believe they had all put in as much energy and effort as they could.
Yuta was the first to move forward into the space the camera was focused on, loosely playing the the music and coming to his place in the center. The other members following in after him, finding their places and positions. Jeongguk to his right and Hyojeong on his left, and the urge to check if everyone else had found their place which he couldn’t fulfil as the beat shift to the starting point of the choreography. The tips of his fingers curled into his pants as he began the steps, with confidence in himself; with confidence in the group that stood with him. More than once he’d gotten them to go through the whole routine without him in place, studied how well they had their positions memorised and how smooth their movements were.
Throughout the dance there was a chance for some of them to have the center, to take the spotlight with their own brief dance and Yuta had worked with each of them specifically for them. Incorporating their wants, with what would best fit the dance and allow them to shine for those seconds. Jeongguk’s was a slick, charismatic walk, purposeful gazes as if he were the vocalist of the group, and that was followed in succession by Minseok, There was no chance to check if they were doing well, if they were holding their own, if they were enjoying themselves. Yuta having to more than once dip to the floor, to twist, to pull himself back up onto his feet with the rest of the members. No matter how much they practised together, if they weren’t feeling the song or the routine, or what they were performing, Yuta knew it would be lacking.
These were the sorts of worries that made him dislike being the leader of any group; worries he pushed from his mind as they performed. He wanted to have fun too, like they did when they exhausted themselves running the routine and he could still hear his heart thudding in his ears. A smile tugging onto his lips as he took front and center again, rolling his body, feet slipping across the floor and running his hand around the outside of his head. It might have been his favourite part when he could run his hands down the front of his body, to press to fingers to his lips, to rock and move with the beat. The rush of the slight jump, of moving forward and going back; his bangs falling around his features and the smile crinkling in the corner of his ears. People complained about dancing a lot, especially as trainees, where they were forced into hours of lesson -- but Yuta loved it. He loved dancing, he loved having people around him who felt the same as he did and put in the same energy.
It was Hyojeong who got to perform cutely and yet coolly in the center next. He didn’t know if it was because he taught her outside of the group, but he liked to give her more help through the steps -- whether she needed his aid or not. Double checking that she had them down, making sure she was comfortable. Maybe it was because she was the only female in the group too. Yuta didn’t want to her to fade out into the background with the rest of the boys there or struggle on her own. She was going to be as charismatic as the rest of them and show her best side.
The lift of their shirts when Yuta stood in the middle again had come with a light, ‘only do it if you want to’, and completed with a definite promise that he intended to. It was rare that he got to show off the abs under his shirt, he’d worked on them with childish pride as a gift for Taeyong on Valentine’s day the year before and he was not going to pass up the chance to shameless give a peek while he danced. There was no pressure on anyone to follow through with him on the teasing though. The energy of the dancing shifting as Yuta took enjoyment and delight in the performance and played around; the movements slightly easier through the section and allowing them a break -- and for Hyunjoon to take the spotlight and show off his skills.
By the time Yuta’s laid back on the floor, he can feel his heart pumping in his chest; arms flat at his side as he lifts his hips up and crosses his legs over. The cold floor beneath him chilling the heat that came of his skin from the exertion of the dance. A brief and barely there respite, that ended when the beat picked up again, and he had to be back on his feet again.
Hyojeong and Jeongguk, followed by him and Jaehyun playing around with twirls -- the energy rising back up again through the section that he’d insisted they enjoy themselves with the most. ‘Do what you want’, ‘feel the beat’, ‘catch you breath’. But they had to snap back into position at exactly the same time for the perfect effect to be made. Yuta biting down on the inside of his lip as he hoped that they would pull it off well. The rest of the song going through with the chorus once more, repeating the choreography from earlier and slowing down at the end; Yuta standing in the center, conducting them with the motion of his hands and the draw of his arms in. A grin resting on his lips, and then bitten away as they fell back in sync again, one foot behind the other and turning his head to follow the movement of his hand.
A cool ending pose that they were to all hold together, even while his chest rose and fell with panted breaths.

➟「ピアノ天才」Let’s piano。
@rkjeon
When the evaluation for this month had been announced, Youngjae’s first thought had been ‘how hard can it be?’ He had never before played an instrument, but it couldn’t be that hard right? He’d just have to learn a tune, perform it and that’d all be it over and done with, easy peasy, and he could go about his day like nothing had happened. Of course the hesitation still remained in his body after last month’s fiasco -- could it really be so simple or was there any hidden inclusions this time again, any surprise eleements? -- but for now he could do nothing but take his classes and prepare for the worst.
Granted, when he actually had time to sit down by the piano and try tapping his fingers against the keys, it wasn’t as easy as he had thought it would be at all. Reaching nodes was one thing and Youngjae doubted he would be able to do it in this month if ever, and even worse was trying to get those nodes into actual sounds. He could sort of remember which keys to press. Sort of. It was a slow and very butchered tune that only bore a slight semblance to the original Twinkle Twinkle Little Star that emerged from within the instrument, and Youngjae’s face became sour. Even worse was it that he heard footsteps coming from behind and turned around to see Jeongguk. Immediately he went into defense. “If you’re here to laugh at me just get it over and done with quick please.”

have you tried drawing won before?
Tumblr media
“oh, man, are you kidding me? i’ve absolutely drawn won before. as a matter of fact, back when i was fifteen… i think i was fifteen… something like that… anyway, basically, i had an entire sketchbook of drawings centered around him. unfortunately, some asshole found it and made me feel really terrible about it and i ended up burning it, so… i don’t have my first ever sketches of him anymore. however, i’ve certainly made up for it by now. at least, i tell myself that so that i don’t feel so shitty about losing all of that work. it sucks that i was such a tortured kid that i figured that was the best… solution… i was just too afraid and too confused by whatever i was feeling and i was overwhelmed. my reaction was drastic and i definitely regret it. but, i draw won often for sure. what can i say? he’s my muse.”

any dongsaeng who are very precious to you?
Tumblr media
“lots of dongsaeng!” ( ‘ -- he happily responds, already lifting his hand up and tugging down the sleeve of his jacket, the fabric crumpling at his elbow as he tries to work out where to start. ) “there’s... my sister, pretty mina and my cutie cousin jiwoo, and hyuncutie, chaeyoungie, donghoney, hosungie, eric, mark, younghoonie, dongminnie, seonho..” ( ‘ -- as he lists, he realises that he runs out of fingers very quickly, and has to exhale a soft sigh. he knew that he had many dongsaeng, ones who he wanted to take care of and shower with affection as much as possible. still, thinking of them all, he realised that he must be very lucky to have them. ) “and then there’s the new sphere boy trainees, and some of the convex sunbaes. youngjae, gukkie,  junie, handsome hyun, tennie, and i like sweetcheol and jihoon too. i think they are all very precious, and i would do anything to make sure that they are happy and healthy. it’s sad though, because i don’t get to seem them very much.”

@rkjeon
She really felt like she should have met up with Jeongguk before they were paired together for a partner dance for the Jeju concert, but she figured that there was no time like the present to start off.  Approaching the male, she gave him a friendly smile.  “Hello! I’m going to be your partner, Kang Seulgi! It’s nice to finally meet you, I’m pretty sure I’ve seen you around in the halls back at Sphere, right?”
The opportunity for them to have the spotlight on them, even if it was a short instance was pretty big, she thought, so she really wanted to do the best job that she could to take advantage of the moment.  “Are you normally a dancer too?” she really hadn’t heard too much about him just yet, but she figured he must be if they were being paired up together.

dance dance,
@rkjeon
the rehearsals aren’t as tough for him after the last month of promotions. they’re still tiring, but the more he goes into it, the easier it becomes; the better he feels in the end. though he knows that’s not entirely the same for the trainees that are going to be performing. and woohyun feels for them-- had been in their position before.
after convex’s rehearsal, he’s watching the sphere trainees do theirs. his eyes are curious, observant; takes note of the faces he knows, and the ones he doesn’t. his tongue pokes against the inside of his cheek as he carefully scratches at the corner of his eye to dispell an itch. he waits until the sphere trainees rehearsal is over and it moves to she’z, before he thinks to approach one. there’s one in particular he chooses to approach, one that has a bit of a center dancing focus stage. as he approaches the male, he gives a bright smile to the other, and as he catches their gaze, he lifts his hand in a gentle wave as he bows towards them.
“hello! you’re one of the...newer trainees, right? i’m a bit behind on welcoming some of you guys...” he pouts a bit, but shakes the sullen look and regains his grin. “you’ll be performing with our seulgi, right?” his head lilts to the side. “you dance very well!”

✧ ☆⋆MGA SEASON 4 - #4040⋆☆ ✧
(ROUND 3)
✧ trouble maker - trouble maker
✧ outfit
✧ hair & makeup
✧ featuring: TEAM C(hungha) @rkars @longguork @rkjeon @danielxrk
chungha didn’t know how to feel after hearing her team members. to be honest she was feeling kind of neutral about her members thus far. then again, she wasn’t quite sure where everyone stood in relation to one another. she just knew that of the bunch, daniel was amongst the lowest in ranks as he was almost sent home last episode. if anything, he was the one to focus on.
jeon jeongguk. he was the boy that sat to her left every episode from now on. his performances had impressed her. he was a dancer and he knew how to connect his dance to the music. he was one of those that made viewers feel. if they were being ranks on their strongest skill alone, chungha figures jeongguk is one of the stronger ones. when he danced, she was kind of left in awe. if jeongguk wasn’t anything but one of the top spot she’d be surprised.
when they first introduce themselves to one another in the nova building, she shares how she felt about his performances. “i think you put a lot of emotion into your dancing. it captures attention.” which would be a plus for their group considering all of them were singers, for the most part. “i’m glad we ended up on the team together.”
they needed a little diversity on their team. dancing was fine and all but they needed to be strong in every skill. youngjae and yongguk, from her memory, sang. she remember yongguk’s because he played a ukele and she remembered thinking how adorable it was. but she wasn’t so sure if either of them danced. when they finally got around to asking each other what to do, she’ll learn but a part of her was worried that the answer would be no.
daniel was the one she hasn’t paid attention to. not because he wasn’t talented or anything but because he seemed to have a trend with his performances: he sang and played guitar. that worried her immensely. daniel seemed to stick to his guitar like it was his protector. something told her that he didn’t have much else to bring to the table if someone snatched his instruments away.
sadly, she was right.
before they got started, chungha made sure to pull daniel aside. her intentions were to make sure he was okay and to make sure his head was in the game. it could be a blow to the ego to be on the bottom of the invisible ranks that they were unaware of yet. at least there wasn’t an actual numerical ranking system. if he was on the bottom by a lot, the blow might’ve been greater -- and if he barely made it through the skin of his teeth, it may have been even more discouraging. there was a certain funk that would hang over someone after someone like that. daniel wasn’t the strongest competitor in the mgas. the last thing she needed was an emotional handicap holding him back as well.
after the quick catch-up with daniel, it was time to know her other members a bit better. it included proper introductions and what people were good at. for the most part, she had at least a vague idea with what everyone’s strongest skill was (after the episodes have aired, of course) but secondary and tertiary skills (if any) were unknown for now. they needed to lay it out on the table to at least begin to brain storm where they stood in terms of possible songs they could do.
there was clear panic on her face hearing that no one else seemed to be decent enough in dancing. her face blanched at the prospect of having to deliver a mediocre performance because her group’s skill sets didn’t match. instead of immediately panicking, they settled down to figure this out. she was the first to say that they should do a routine that isn’t difficult with choreography but just as eye catching. “everything will be okay as long as we can capture the attention of not only the viewers and the audience but the panel as well. it doesn’t have to be a crazy and impressive number. as long as we show that we have competence and can manage that along with stage presence, i think we’ll do okay.”
o.k by b1a4
she’s never heard the song before but she figures she shouldn’t count it out. “can i see the video?” she asks, mildly interested in the option. she’s not sure where they’re going to go with this but as the video plays, her disgust is clear on her face. “i don’t like this song,” she says honestly. “i think it’s cute and very catchy but i don’t think this is mga performance material at all. i feel as though we could pick another, much stronger song and still accommodate to people who can’t dance as well.” of course she wasn’t going to veto it altogether. she even added, “but if you guys like it and feel comfortable with doing it, i’m down for it.”
thankfully no one else was really too attached to the song. she may have cried if they went along with it. her relief is clear (they dodged a bullet) but they couldn’t spend so much time just flipping through songs. someone suggests troublemaker. “we’d have to tweak the choreography.” youngjae and jeongguk both suggested ideas where jeongguk starts off the song and the other start as backup and then they rotate who dances centre with chungha. it sounded like a solid idea.
before diving into the performance, they needed a leader. in the midst of verbally rationalising who would make sense as leader (asking ages, what experience everyone had, etc.), chungha was quick to voice her opinion. “before we choose, i do not want to be the leader just because i’m the eldest.” surely she’d have the natural inclination to guide the others simply because she was older but she would prefer there being a legitimate reason as to why she was chosen (if she was chosen). and as yongguk so clearly shared with his nomination of chungha, she was the eldest and deserved the respect. she’d rather it be because they were impressed by her performances thus far or because she was the only one of the pack to have actually done this before.
a part of her was unsure with being leader. it’s not as if she didn’t know what to do. she knew exactly what she’d have to do as leader but it also meant she’d assume most of the responsibility if anyone falters. it becomes less of “oh so-and-so you messed up here” and more of “ah, kim chungha, why did you let your term fall into shambles?” it was selfish but she wasn’t sure if she wanted to assume that kind of responsibility in this kind of competition. it could potentially reflect negatively. she’s sure those opinionated netizens would have a ball if she failed.
to her surprise, she ends up elected leader despite her minor opposition. jeongguk looked awfully disappointed at the fact. daniel had raised a point that he felt weird listening to jeongguk as leader when they were the same age. chungha understood, considering jeongguk was a little younger than she was and it would be weird to listen to someone younger than you. chungha steals away to go to jeongguk’s side. “hey,” she nudges him softly. “i thought you had leader potential. that’s why i voted for you.” she wonders who the other vote was if the other three voted for her. “don’t take it as a personal loss. and besides,” she smiles at him, “i could use some help getting this group ready.”
getting ready takes a majority of the week. come the time for recording and performing, she’s only mildly nervous. it’s not even for the sake of her own singing and dancing -- that she’s long since grown used to after the years of training. it’s all worry with how her team would look as a unit. while she performs, she couldn’t let any expression pass on her face (not even a grimace) that would clue that someone fucked up or someone sounded off key.
chungha had also resented the initial performance of trouble maker and made a few tweaks of her own. mostly more dances on her end so while she’s off to the side, she does something similar to what the boys do: she sensually dances. save for the dance break the boys have without her; that she’s completely off stage for. she also tweaked the background dance for the rest of the boys at the end because it required partners. so she created her own simple steps for them to follow in the back while she and youngjae closed out the song.
the space they’re in until they wait for performances is nice. they sit together as a unit and chungha offers small commentary while they watch to the groups that impress her. out of the two teams proceeded them, chungha is more worried about team b. the boys was an excellent song to do. she would have kicked herself about the missed opportunity if it weren’t for the fact that her team weren’t dancers anyways and probably would have done much worse with that choreography. it was bad enough that the others struggled with troublemaker which was more of a charisma performance than an actual dance anyways.
something she kept in mind (and told the other boys) was to play it up. amp up the charisma and the sexiness. cop an extra feel, accentuate movements with a wink or a kiss. the song was all about charisma which was why there was a lack of harder dancing. chungha even took her own advice during her performance and played up her role as hot arm candy, swaying her hips or moving in a way that drew attention.
she made sure her voice was clear. stronger, in the very least, than the actual artist during her own stage performance in the song. it may have been the classics round but she sure as hell made sure not to sound like she was a classic. she projected her voice so she was clearly heard in the harmony of the chorus every time. it was a very male dominant song. it was sad how this was a duo but the man took up most of the attention the entire song. so with her parts where she was the focus of attention, she makes damn sure she does them well.
her voice isn’t as soft as the original troublemaker female. so her words are far less breathy when she raps and sings. she’s always had a strong vocal presence. it makes it that much easier for her to dance and sing without sounding pitchy. for herself, the song was in a range that was doable. it was almost easy because she sang in the same few notes the entire length of the song (save for the end).
towards the end of the song, just before the dance break, she mirrors the moves jeongguk does as she sings. it was much better than just standing there and singing when she was capable of dancing and holding her pitch. walking off to the side she was able to view the product of her teaching the team and how well they handled the break before she needed to come back in. she will say they were a charismatic group. it worked in their favour. and youngjae bodied those adlibs. she was actually proud.
while youngjae took the foreground to dance at the end of the sound, she danced as well in the back. it was her own freestyle. nothing crazy, just something similar to youngjae until he came up to her in the end. he grabbed her face. chungha picked up her left hand (the one opposite and hidden from the stage and cameras) to hold his face and place two fingers between their lips. they ended the song “kissing”, just like the performers did back then. breaking away she smiled, quickly hugging youngjae before bouncing off stage to the rest of the group.
“after this we should get dinner. to celebrate for a great performance no matter how we rank,” she tells them on the way back to the viewing room. “i’m really proud of all of you -- and daniel! you did so great!” just managing to pull it together was a huge relief. what they started with versus what they ended with was a feat; an accomplishment that deserved to be celebrated even if one of them ended up going home.
and, as a good leader should, she even promised to pay for them all.

after the recording for the sixth episode of the mgas finished, jeongguk searches out so jisub backstage, to speak to him alone.
“ah— excuse me, sunbaenim?” he calls, voice calm, collected. jeongguk bows politely before looking up at him. he’s not really sure what he’s doing, anxiety wiggling its way into his body. he manages to keep his body from shaking, though, tense as he swallows down the lump in his throat. “i’m jeon jeongguk. you announced my elimination two weeks ago, and then i was eliminated again tonight…”
jeongguk trails off for a moment, trying to collect his thoughts. he doesn’t want to sound demanding, or angry, because he’s neither of those things. he just wants to understand why things happened the way they did.
“i was wondering… why is me being injured the reason i was eliminated…?” he thinks of another contestant in the show that is also injured, with an even more detrimental injury than himself. jeongguk can still dance, his ribs are healing ( although that process has been slowed by his need to stay active ). he doesn’t want to mention her though, because he doesn’t want to get her eliminated as well if this conversation ends up meaning anything for his future. but, he can’t deny that he feels that his elimination was unfair, given the fact that he’s not the only injury on the show.
“i made it this far— my injury was worse at my audition, but i wasn’t eliminated in the first episode… you, and baek jiyoung sunbaenim, said it yourselves: i’m talented. i live and breathe to be able to dance, i’ve given so much to be here, not to say others haven’t…” he doesn’t want to get into his life story, so he cuts it short.
“i’m not the type to beg, so i want you to know that i’m not asking for a place back in this show. i’ve been eliminated, i understand that. i just want to understand why. please.” he bows his head, squeezing his eyes shut.
As soon as you step too close to So Jisub and direct a word towards him, the CEO’s personal bodyguard gets between the two of you. With one hand he pushes your shoulder while the other motions to the way you came. “Get back, kid.” At the same time, his secretary hushes Jisub further into the backstage area so he can continue working on his very important duties. “And stay there.” Just like that, the bodyguard also moves away, following his boss into one of the staff-only rooms and leaving you behind.
[ OOC NOTE: No contestant would have been able to approach So Jisub or speak to him backstage. Eliminations are done using several different factors and someone being injured is only one of them. We don’t share all the factors so that muns don’t change their way to rp or their muses for the sake of one event. The MGAs are nothing more than another casting event and we believe that everyone can put their trust in us to make the most fitting choices! Hopefully, this cleared a bit of confusion and if there are any more questions that we can answer remaining, feel free to message us! ]

                               february evaluations !! min yoongi performing vixx lr’s whisper.                                                             featuring ... @rkjeon.                                                 trigger warning: mentions of anxiety.
after how much work the last two months have been, yoongi’s glad to have a somewhat easier, more open evaluation than before. he gets to work with a person of his choosing, gets to do a song they choose-- and it all feels easier. it’s a lot with the title of public trainee under his name, but he supposes it’s okay. it isn’t that bad. it’s not like he’s an idol; just because the world knows his name as a trainee doesn’t equate to anything else.
the dance in itself is pretty lax, yoongi thinks. but he likes the beat of it, thinks the message of the song fits love enough for it to be a match. it gives jeongguk and yoongi a good chance to work together, an event he knows will be happening a lot; any time spent with the other he’ll take, because yoongi is greedy when it comes to jeongguk (but he won’t ever admit it outloud). practice is spent with idle joking, whispered talks and sweet glances when they can. they're still in a public setting, at work no less; but the time spent is nice and it feels easy, so it should have been a warning to what the day of the evaluation actually entailed.
and when they do start, everything is fine. jeongguk's voice is music when it hits the air, the beat of the song complimenting it nicely. the beginning of the dance doesn't have much dancing, so yoongi lets himself settle. and once it moves to his own part of the song the rap comes easy, the moves more sharp than his own chosen enjoyment, but not difficult to manage. he keeps his expression relaxed-- because yoongi does feel relaxed; even the eyes of trainers alike can't keep him from feeling at ease when he's dancing.
it's only when the music stops that yoongi allows surprise to color his features. the steps in his dancing stagger as he rights himself, and for a moment he's confused, eyes flickering from jeongguk to the watchful eyes around them. no one is surprised, some brief looks of amusement but they don't stop them, they don't do anything at all; panic scratches at his insides. jeongguk's voice falters and stutters a bit-- not sounding nearly as confident without the backing track. it takes a moment for them to figure it out again, but yoongi's mind is racing a mile a minute. trying to remember the counts, remember the placing. jeongguk doesn't even falter with the dancing-- easy and smooth so yoongi follows along with that, though he's much more clumsy, his movements a bit stilted without the music for a moment. it's difficult being caught off-guard and righting yourself, and yoongi doesn't have himself put together enough to execute it without looking like a fool.
he misses the first syllable of his part that starts up as they're in silence, cheeks and ears tinging red from embarrassment; from sheer humiliation. it's incredibly hard to keep on beat when the beat isn't there, and he tries so hard to imagine the song playing in his head; he's heard it so many times in practice, so many runthroughs he should be able to hear it in his sleep-- but his head is buzzing with white noise and his heart is beating a mile a minute. jeongguk's smiling and laughing everything yoongi twists and turns in the choreography, and he wants to laugh about it too. be amused and find humor in the situation, but the panic and anxiety is clawing at his gut, wishing, wanting to break out. and as the seconds tick down, the dancing gets easier-- but his live rapping struggles to keep up without the aid of the music.
it's a mess, to be sure. jeongguk does fine in his eyes but yoongi does awful-- absolutely awful. every moment that passes he wants out of the room, surprised that he hasn't left already out of sheer determination to not leave jeongguk alone in the performance. he knows this happens, knows that idols have to deal with this from time to time; but yoongi isn't an idol, doesn't even know if he likes being a trainee yet either. it's a mess, he's a mess. so much for things being easy.

➟「幸せ」happiness 101。
@rkjeon
A sigh left him as he sat down by the table to himself, dinner in front of him, but stomach not really craving it. Honestly Youngjae found himself sighing a lot lately. It was caused by thoughts, annoying unwanted thoughts, pressing, making him wonder, reconsider. The more people started entering his life, the more Youngjae started wondering about his ways, mostly because he genuinely didn’t believe he deserved to be loved and cared about. Especially not with the way he treated some of the people who put up with him in his attempts to scare them away. But then when the thought hit him that he might actually say something one day that really would make them hate him, he became scared. Scared to actually lose someone. It was a weird thought, one that suggested he had actually started to live a normal life with normal worries.
Blinking in surprise, he noticed a familiar face sitting down by his table with a greeting. Jeongguk was one of said people he had found entering his mind a lot, one of the people who apparently didn’t mind hanging out with him. Why he didn’t understand. To spite him? No, Jeongguk seemed much too nice for that. But that just meant that Youngjae couldn’t understand the guy’s actions, even less so after his inconsiderate words had already made one person in this building loathe him. “Hey, Jeongguk,” he commented in a questioning tone of voice and then held his tongue for a bit, considering his next words. “Am I... Am I a repulsive person? Do you hate me?”

what's a question you wish someone would ask you?
Tumblr media
“in what context? i’m not sure what sort of situation this is referring to. it would also depend on who that someone is, because i would only truthfully and thoroughly answer certain questions to certain people. if you mean what questions i wish people would ask me so that i have the chance to answer things and ramble on about topics, then i wish that people would ask me about the music i like, what musicals i like, what my mom is like, who my favorite artist is... that kind of thing. just so that i can get passionate about the things that i love. if it was someone that i could talk to about it without getting in trouble, i’d like someone to ask me about my boyfriend, too, but i don’t really see that realistically happening.”

◤✩ creative streak
@rkjeon
last time hyuna saw the boy was during the mga’s and they were both eliminated due the same reason: injury. hyuna wasn’t a dancer herself, but she knew it was possibly a huge blow, for any dancer to have an injury, because it messed with you on so many levels. the closest thing, she personally could relate to, was when she broke her wrist a few months ago. it stopped her from writing songs for a while, followed by some rehabilitation, it wasn’t pretty.
however, that was in the past, and hyuna was beyond happy to see jungkook in nova, she didn’t ask for a reason. she assumed nova bought his contract out, they did that with sunmi if she remembers correct. it wouldn’t have been a surprise, however, it was a surprise that he agreed on helping her with a song or two. it wasn’t uncommon for her to ask random trainee’s if they wanted to help her, but it wasn’t every day someone agreed to help her. especially someone that didn’t know her well, like jungkook, but never the less, it was exciting.
“you sing right?“ she asks just to make sure as she goes through the folders of her laptop, trying to find any songs she wanted him to try and sing. “do you have a favorite type of genre you sing to or is anything okay?“ there were so many questions going through hyuna’s head, maybe she was too excited, but she wasn’t the type to hide her happiness. she did have one particular song in mind, she wanted to do, but she wasn’t going to force it onto jungkook if he happened to like something else she showed him.

new hello’s / jeon & bambam
a yawn left his mouth as he walked in. he hadn’t slept well but when it was time to get up, he was up and ready to head to the company. he knew he wanted to swing but seoncho but his first step was nova. breakfast was skipped in favor of just wandering around until it was time to head to his first lesson.
then he spotted a new face, one he felt like he might’ve seen before but it was hard to be sure. but now at least he had something to do. bambam made his way over, a grin on his face. “hello! and welcome to nova? you seem a bit familiar but are you a new trainee?”
