2nd ep was fucking great, honestly that Jerricky abomination was absolutely awful (affectionate) and you gotta love memory Rick trying his best to stay sane
No no this time the slander goes to the fans,,
Okay so i get it theres not enough Morty in the Rick and Morty show but at the same time they're clearly trying to get all the family more involved ya cant just expect for everything to be done in 2eps, takes time, like yeah i want more Morty too but he had 6 seasons to evolve as a character all the others had what bunch of episode?
Also if you dont like the incest jokes, yeah uhm sucks to be you ig
Also stop complaining about the voices get over it ya poopy
Did you noticed this? Lightening highlights, same place on hair, same age (probably). Even young adult Morty's hairstyle is similar to young adult Rick's, only Morty's hairstyle is shorter but just as wild style too.
i talked about this last night in a r&m discord i'm in, but i want to talk about it here too in a bit more detail and ramble for a sec:
i am so glad that this season is released week by week. i have been so spoiled with show-binging (in terms of new shows) that i feel stuffed to the brim and empty at the same time because there's nothing to look forward to after im done (funny that this feeling is on theme with the latest ep but anyway)
i missed waiting week to week, gnawing at the bit for a new ep to come out for something. i missed the excitement, the hype, the predictions, the fanart! i missed seeing the plethora of new reviews and breakdowns each week - i missed being FORCED to process what i watched instead of just going to the next one. i missed open, enriching conversations with everyone, it's so refreshing to experience that again (when the convos/exchanges are civil of course)
this new season has been stellar overall imo (of course i have gripes and stuff but they're pretty small in comparison) and each episode has been better than the last
you can tell the writers/overall staff are fans of this show just as much as we are, and are just as excited to release these eps as we are to watch them. it reminds me of 2014-2016 tumblr days before binge-watches were super common and everyone had the shared experience of watching an ep and foaming at the mouth for a week before a new one drops. it's just really comforting, that's all
creators saying in the behind the episode vid that they wrote diane according to what she'd actually be like as rick's wife, and not according to what morty would imagine her as. this is FANTASTIC to know actually.
she's a woman who can give it back to rick. who can be sarcastic and witty with him. she's intelligent in a way that's independent of being with rick, who finds charm in his nihilistic philosophy. she isn't this perfect obedient housewife. she has grit and drive and opinions that don't match with rick's and that makes her compelling. i am 200% more invested in her character after her added screen time.
what i mean to say is that diane has agency, and i am so fucking relieved about that.
It was pretty dark that it was revealed that Rick didn't bother entering the Fear Hole to save Morty in the first place, but the fact that Rick went back to it after being told Diane was in there, and not only refused to go into it, but pinned Morty's photo to the wall (a photo he now keeps in his wallet) shows that Rick *is* moving on and healing from her death. His family here and now are what matter.
ik this isn't new or anything but the fact that aside from morty, the whole smith/sanchez house is canonically queer is so freaking cool! seriously how did this show amass so many anti sjw reddit ass men as a fanbase when 80% of the main characters are queer? i think summer got a female love interest in 2019 and beth's whole sapphic horse girl thing happened last season, but jerry and rick have been canon since season 2.
like idk im just saying this show is awfully gay and has been for a while. i genuinely don't get it when i see people bitching about rick and morty going woke or whatever.
i don't have anything like intellectual to say about the representation or queer themes in the show, it just makes me happy. having a family sitcom where the family is a fruit basket with one token straight isn't exactly a common occurrence, and it just so happens that's what my family's like. shoutout to morty and my mother, we love our allies
season 7 spoilers
YESSSSSS summer gf arc?
anyways i doubt she's coming back i just think it'd be pretty sick and dope if she did
