Wow this week has been an eye opener to say the least. On Monday I started listening to David Goggins audiobook holy sh💥t. Then I started to absorbe and internalize every sentence every word right down into my soul. No I’m not black surprise! Not a Navy Seal not even close BUT I have overcome a lot from drug addiction, alcoholism, homelessness, ptsd,blindness and imposter syndrome. I did forget at one time I was 174 lbs and 8 percent body fat. Almost maxed the Army Apft missed it by two points. I would max push ups and sit ups but couldn’t run for shit. At one time I won the Soldier of the year for my company and battalion but lost at brigade level. My point is that I forgot all that I have done and overcame because I’m so busy looking at what I haven’t done but will. My goals for 2022 1) Help a million people struggling in life and business. 2) Get healthy my blood sugar today was the lowest it’s been in years. 3) Be a better husband,father,son,cousin,friend just be a better version of ME. As I Was Doing My Hour Of Cardio I Was Listening to David Goggins Audiobook You Can’t Hurt Me And Thought Back Over My Life. I have been through a lot of stuff mostly self inflicted but I always came back. Like David says NO ONE IS COMING TO SAVE YOU. It is all an inside job. He also talks about using your mirror as an accountability mirror. To post all your dreams and goals on it to see it every damn day. Thank you David Mike Writing this book was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. A lot of old scabs were ripped open for me to heal from. I had to ask for forgiveness from a lot of people I hurt, I also had to forgive EVERYONE that has ever hurt me. I had to go back and right some wrongs since the book was released. Like thanking my Dad for bailing me out of jail. My Dad and and I reconciled because of this book before he passed on Valentine’s Day. This book is my story of what not do in life. At the end of each chapter is a life lesson so you don’t make the same mistakes I did. The last two chapters are teaching 1) What does addiction look like. 2) What does depression and anxiety look like and how to spot the signs of both and how to get help now.
