I’ve been gagging to get back to Revels so booked a few Tuesdays off work. There was a great turnout yesterday with 20 booked in and I was over the moon to get drawn peg 20 on Main lake again. It’s probably the best silvers peg on the complex, I had a really nice day catching skimmers, roach, perch, rudd and gudgeon for 12lb 5oz and a silvers win. I’ve caught on maggots over Special G F1 and Dark. Also landed several nuisance carp. I love my Tuesday trips to Revels, I just wish I could go every week! It was a scorching day but I drew the best silvers peg on the complex in the shape of 20 on Main. As an added bonus I was in the shade for four hours. I’ve had a bite a chuck all day from skimmers, hybrids, roach, rudd, perch and gudgeon (plus a few carp of course) to finish up with 229 fish for 23lb 6oz and a silvers win. I managed to get back to Revels yesterday and drew on Dead Tree for the first time in a while. I couldn’t resist another visit to Revels Fishery and booked another day off work to fish the Tuesday open. I drew peg 21 on Main Lake this time and despite some awful weather I’ve had a lovely day catching skimmers, roach, perch, rudd, gudgeon and some lumpy carp on maggots over Special G Dark and The Juice. I was second in the silvers with 10lb 8oz and third overall with my combined weight of 33lb 3oz. Can’t wait to go again. I was back at Revels yesterday and drew peg 68 on Canal. I’ve really struggled for the first three hours catching a few small fish but then started getting some small skimmers and didn’t want the match to end. I fished the silverfish open at Revels yesterday and drew peg 46 on Dead Tree, the weather was awful but I really enjoyed the fishing. Caught perch, roach, skimmers, gudgeon (and carp of course!) for 6lb 3oz on maggot over Special G Dark. A couple more matches to catch up on, I booked two days off work and went to Revels Fishery on Tuesday and drew peg 12 which is one of the noted carp pegs. Tried fishing for silvers but it was hard work and I ended up with 24lb of accidental carp and a few silvers which was top weight on Main lake with the top three coming from Canal. Then Wednesday fished a Stoke charity match at Hebditch’s pond and had a lovely day catching 57lb 6oz of carp, skimmers and roach for second place.
