Revali x childish!reader headcanons 

It’s honestly a mystery to most people how you and Revali ended up together

His personality is the exact opposite of yours, and you were somewhat turned off to him at first due to how serious and narcissistic he could be at times 

But oh goddess was he a sight for sore eyes 

Revali on the other hand… he actually fell for you quite hard, despite him refusing to admit it

Though childish, you had a constant smile on your face, and knew how to lighten the mood if things were tense among the champions

Revali really admired that about you, and oh boy was it obvious

But Revali being well… himself, he was never good at expressing those feelings to you

All he could do was (as always) boast and brag about his amazing skills, in some sort of hope that you would be impressed

You saw right through his egocentric facade everytime, and would proceed to tease him hard about it. 

But honestly, after getting to know each other, you grew to love those differences in your personalities and felt like you balanced each other out well !

Your childish behavior and liveliness allowed Revali to feel more at ease, though he often has to calm you down before you cause trouble with your pranks and unfiltered nature

You L O V E to play (mostly harmless) pranks on Revali, he’s just so hilariously flustered when he gets annoyed 

“[Name]…, mind telling me how all of my arrows got replaced with tree branches?”

“It’s funny that you mention that! Because uh, *runs away*”

He got his arrows back eventually (after 10 minutes of you trying to outrun him, knowing very well he could fly) 

Even in combat, you look like you’re having fun

You’re a champion as well, with a divine beast shaped like a fox (Revali thinks it’s fitting, since foxes symbolize playfulness and mischievousness) 

Speaking of divine beasts, you practically beg Revali to let you go on Medoh with him, and he always refuses

While he adores your childish nature, it tends to border on recklessness, and the thought of you slipping off and falling hundreds of feet gives him anxiety

“But PLEASEEEE, i’ll be extra careful I promise!!” 

“So you can fall off because you can't be bothered to sit still for more than five minutes? Absolutely not.”

“You can just catch me if I fall!” 

“I’ll pass.”

He does reluctantly let you go with him one day though… but you’re forced to constantly be in his line of sight.

Headcannons for yandere revali? You don’t have to do it if it makes you uncomfortable

Not a problem Anon! Not uncomfortable, however I am inexperienced in writing yanderes. I’ve done some research. though, so I think I’ve got a decent idea on how to write a yandere Revali. Hopefully I got it right haha

I see Revali being very possessive 

The regular Revali loves you for who you are, flaws and all. To him, you're perfectly imperfect.

Not so much with yandere Revali

He only wants perfect

His partner needs to be the best of the best, anything less is  unacceptable

Apparently, perfect means you

Anything could have caused it; a world-changing achievement, high status, it could be something as simple as you're physical appearance

Or......it could be that rumour he’s heard that you captured the interest of a certain knight

(Yeah, it was probably the last one)

Whatever it is, he sees you as the ideal partner

If you have flaws, their considered trivial 

He can fix that later

Your job suddenly relocates you to Rito village

(It seems someone high up put in a good word for you)

Once you’re there, you have multiple run-ins with the Rito champion

Despite some arrogant and narcissistic tendencies, he seems like all right guy

You become fast friends

Which is a good thing, since he winds up being your only friend

You try to be friendly with the villagers, but they all avoid you like the plague

Did you somehow offend them?

A month goes by, and Revali invites you on a trip to board Vah Medoh

You accept, and he flies you to the entrance

The view up there was gorgeous

The next few hours are spent exploring the divine beast. Revali will interject every so often with a few fun facts

After the sun starts to set, you decide that it’s time head back

He disagrees

Haha, very funny Revali, but you should really head home now.

He cocks his head at you, “This is your home now, did I forget to mention that?”  There’s no humour in his tone 

He smirks when he sees his words finally start to sink in. You caught on quick

He knew you were the perfect choice; the only one worthy to be by his side

Everyone else was either insignificant or scum. You shouldn’t have to deal with the likes of them

If you left, one of those fools may even try to steal you away

They won’t succeed, of course. But it woulds still be....inconvenient

Worse, what if they tainted you with their presence alone? They would cast a shadow over your image

We can’t have that now, can we?

But don’t worry, he’s already taken measures so that your stay here would be comfortable

Extra clothing and blankets to keep you warm, crates of food near a blazing campfire

He even brought books for entertainment 

If you display any sign of resistance, he will immediately correct it

Such shameful behaviour must be nipped in the bud before it can be allowed to worsen

Don’t worry, he won’t hurt you.

 He doesn’t want to risk leaving a mark on your delicate body

But a few days of isolation should help change your perspective

After all, he’s all you have now

However if you behave, he will treat you like a queen

Just don’t step out of line, because he’ll be ready for that

He’s prepared to train you until you start acting properly

Eventually, you’ill learn to play your role perfectly, and then the two of you can be happy together

Your own little world made up of just the two of you.

Untouched, and devoid of any flaws, nothing can interfere with him here.

How much does "your" Revali voice differ from the "official" one? Could you do something like voicing one of the cutscenes with the voice you had in mind for comparison?

I won’t go as far as re-dubbing an entire scene just to convey the difference, but it’s easy enough to explain in text.

“My” Revali voice falls back on a lot of my defaults when it comes to character voices - lots of energy, heavy emphasis, often a sense of ‘flourish’ to most words. This works well when the character is meant to be exaggerated or otherwise stereotypical, but is a very bad option when it comes to exhibiting any kind of subtle nuance or ‘realistic’ personality. Characters using this approach tend to be very one-track, IE “Oh, he’s a narcissistic asshole” or “Oh, he’s a scheming villain”, without very much complexity to their description.

The Revali heard in Breath of the Wild has had a lot of this eccentricity reigned in; his general level of energy is lower, and he’s more conversational than declaratory/exclamatory. This doesn’t prevent him from being cocky, but he’s still at least just confident-sounding instead of obnoxious. 

Essentially, “my” voice may work fine for silly skits or parodies where exaggeration is encouraged, but the “official” performance for Revali relies a lot more on contextual nuance; I’ve been dropping the latter too much as of late.

Alrighty. I could do this one for either Vrie or Henry. So screw it. I’m gonna do them both.

*Vrie*1. I imagine her voice would be kinda like Buttercup from the original Powerpuff Girls but at a higher pitch.2. Whenever she smiles it’s a mix of confident, goofy and enduring. Kind of like her father’s smile.3. She’s proud of the fact that she can take down most adversaries with a good punt to the groin.4. She doesn’t like the fact that even though she’s 15 going on 16 she still has the body of an 11 year old. She tries to not let it bother her but she can’t pretend it doesn’t affect her, especially when it comes to relationships.5. She can be too kind for her own good. Whenever she sees someone in trouble she’ll want to step in and defend that person, even if say the person was being held a gunpoint. She doesn’t care if she gets hurt, as long as the person she’s protecting is okay.6. She would just be in shock for a long time, bordering on denial. Then after a while she can finally snap out of it and move on with her life.7. She likes to dress rebelliously. You know, crop top, short skirt, puffy jacket, fingerless gloves and a Volcarona bandanna. It’s kind of a mix between her father and mother’s fashion sense.8. Pizza, Flavored Ice and Fruit

*Henry*1. I imagine he could be voiced by Sean Chiplock, as in the same way he voiced Revali in Breath of the Wild, just more tennager like.2. Their smile is of arrogance. When he smiles at you he’s basically saying “Yeah, I’m better than you. Get used to it.”3. Building Team Crona from the ground up all by himself.4. He has multiple severe burn scars all over his body from a fire he was in when he was 11 years old. It was so bad he got a cataract in his right eye. This is the reason he wears thick clothing and has part of his face covered up, so no one would see his scars since to him, having scars means “I put this on myself.”5. He can come off as such a jerk and borderline narcissist he drives people away. Because of this he has so few genuine friends and by extension, so few people he can rely on.6. Not very well. He will freak out if he witnesses something traumatizing such as the death of a loved one. He will lock himself in his room, not talk to anyone and will be in a state in self loathing. If no one’s there to help him it’ll take him a very, very, very long time before he snaps out of it, if he snaps out of it at all that is.7. Gothic. Or edgy depending on how you like to put it. He has his hair styled after Zoroark (his favorite Pokemon) wears eye shadow and lip gloss, wears a very preppy uniform like suit and has red, leather gloves. 8. He’s a very picky eater. He will not eat something he either didn’t make himself or came from a servant/butler. He has a liking to cheesecake though.
