Introducing Artemis!

Artemis is one of our product testers here at Crumbs’ Cosy Corner. She has not been with us very long. She was rescued by us two and a half weeks ago, along with her daughter, Luna. She is a beautiful Peruvian and we think she is about three years old.

The house she came from was not very nice and Artemis was quite poorly when she arrived. She had an upper respiratory infection and was very skinny at only 720gms. She also had fleas and was very dirty with her fur all matted.

However she is doing much better now. The nice vets gave her some medicine that made her chest better. A special bath and haircut has left her fur super silky soft and got rid of unwanted buggy visitors. And lots of yummy, healthy food means she is gaining weight steadily. Her last check up 14 days after she arrived saw her up to 836gms!

Artemis is very friendly and loves to be stroked. She will sit happily and have her ears rubbed in her cage. She isn’t sure about laptime yet, but she is gradually learning that cuddles are nice.

She enjoys tearing up brown paper bags full of hay, stretching out in her new comfy fleece home for naps and the extra treats her humans give her to help her gain weight.

Her dislikes include open spaces, being picked up and when her humans aren’t waking up quickly enough to give her breakfast!

Artemis is our best product tester for our Cosy Corner Houses. She likes to sit in them and poke her head out the door to see what Luna is up to! They also make her feel safe when she wants to catch some Zs.

We are very proud to have Artemis as part of our product testing team when just a fortnight ago we were very worried about whether we could help her get better.

This is Teddy, he also got a bath and was introduced to Kenneth, I expected bonding guinea pigs for the first time to be difficult, but they took to each other straight away, although they were mostly both just begging for towel rubs :) Such beautiful little guys!
