Before and After...
Isaac Colden Duran, South Carolina inmate 384356, born 2002, incarceration intake November 2020 at age 18, scheduled for release October 2040
Voluntary Manslaughter
In October 2022, the First Judicial Circuit Court sentenced Isaac Duran, 18, to 25 years in prison for his role in a 2018 murder.
When Duran was just 15 years old, he and three others were involved in the shooting of Stacey Bradley. Duran was convicted of manslaughter, while the other defendants were convicted of murder.
Also involved were:
Mattthew Zalenski, born 2000, South Carolina inmate 384188, scheduled for release May 2056;
Miriam Hannah Leigh Bortz, born 2001, South Carolina inmate 384800, scheduled for release May 2058; and
Demacian Israel Middleton, born 1999, South Carolina inmate 385046, scheduled for release February 2031.
According to the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office, Bradley was shot outside of the Archdale Forest Apartment Complex.
The sheriff's office also said all four reportedly confessed to the details of the murder, and admitted to discussing a plan to shoot Bradley prior to the meeting.
Court documents stated the defendants drove to the apartment complex to buy marijuana from Bradley.

So I decided to look up historical data on the amount of Finnish learners on Duolingo. I used the Wayback Machine but for some reason since the start of this year, the page doesn't load correctly so I have very limited data for 2023.
Tumblr media
If we count the amount of new learners in 2022 every 2 months, it's about 15-25 thousand. But this changed at the start of 2023. Between December 2022 and February 2023 there were 43 thousand new learners, coinciding with the release of Cha Cha Cha in January.
And the growth didn't stop there. 3 months later and the Finnish language added 63 thousand new learners (the average last year for the same time frame was about 30 thousand).
Also, the total learners went up 100 thousand in just 5 months (December 2022 with 663K - May 2023 with 769K) compared to last year which happened over a 9-month period (March 2022 with 560K - December 2022 with 663K).
Conclusion: Cha Cha Cha did have an influence on the amount of people learning Finnish on Duolingo and I predict it's going to be even bigger in the weeks to come.
Fun fact: Yesterday I checked the website and Finnish had 767 thousand learners, so in just one day it went up by 2 thousand!

Two Aussie SF girls get together for some merriment, drinking and plenty of heavy cigarette smoking! Sharing SF experience as well!
WHAT A DUO! . . . KENNEDY.K (left), BETHSMOKES3 (right)!
Three main goals for this pair on this day (if meeting for the first time): Greet each other to make another friend (potential BFF?); get completely inebriated by day's end; each go through more than a pack-and-a-half of cigarettes in the Australian home of one of them or a neutral spot halfway (or thereabouts) between where they live!
Single-Media 4-Post, 6-Pack Mini-Megapost!
Fodder for a re-blog of a blackmaca13 posting of bethsmokes3. They are so darn hot! There have been quite a few posts of kennedy.k within our domain. bethsmokes3 is making her debut on our network with this post and a re-blog of a blackmaca13 post each on November 29, 2023. Beth, to her credit, has done joint projects -- such as this one here -- with two or three other Social Network Cigarette Girls from Down Under. Ah, thinking not within the box (outside of it)! How grand! Shows what she has invested into SF! Maybe there's more in the works of them together. The Centerpiece clip was downloaded by The Staff on September 21, 2023 (credit, regrettably, unavailable!). This post from The Staff stands on its own merits, though ostensibly it was authorized to be produced to accompany our family's debut of bethsmokes3! Hope you enjoy this post independently or accompanying the blackmaca13 re-blog of Beth!

NPR
June 7, 2023
Why are Republicans abandoning one of the best tools the government has to catch voter fraud? That simple question is the focus of a new NPR investigation, published Sunday.
The tool is the Electronic Registration Information Center, better known as ERIC. It was created almost a decade ago as a way for states to share government data, in an effort to keep their voter rolls up to date. It allows election officials better insight into when their voters move and die and the rare times when they vote twice in different states, which is illegal.
"The little secret is that maybe more than 10 years ago, if somebody voted in Ohio, in Florida, in Arizona and Texas, you would have never known," Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose, a Republican, said in an interview with NPR in February. "With ERIC, we can compare our voter rolls to those states."
Eight Republican states have now pulled out of ERIC, including many with voting officials who are on the record as praising the partnership as recently as a few months ago. Ohio pulled out a month after LaRose spoke to NPR.
J. Christian Adams, a conservative elections attorney, has long been a critic of how ERIC operates. But he told NPR: "It's this crazy zeal to get out of ERIC ... that is going to cause voter fraud to flourish."
So what happened? Here are five takeaways from NPR's investigation:
1. A far-right website kicked things off
The story starts in January 2022, when a far-right website called the Gateway Pundit, which has pushed conspiracy theories in the past, began writing about ERIC. Up until then, the partnership was considered a quiet bipartisan success story, with member states that spanned the political spectrum.
NPR's investigations team analyzed hundreds of thousands of social media posts on a handful of social media sites frequented by election deniers. We found the Gateway Pundit's coverage started the far right's fixation on the program:
See Chart.
Roughly a week after the first Gateway Pundit article, Louisiana Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin, a Republican, announced his state would become the first to pull out of ERIC, citing "concerns raised by citizens, government watchdog organizations and media reports."
2. Local "election integrity" groups are a political force
NPR found that while Ardoin did not make a big public show out of pulling out of ERIC, he did bring the announcement to maybe the only constituents at that time who would even care: a local group of conservative activists gathered in Houma, La.
The crowd, assembled for an "election integrity town hall," applauded for 15 seconds when Ardoin announced he was pulling the state out of ERIC. The event was publicized less than 24 hours before Ardoin's office released its statement on ERIC.
NPR's investigation also found these sorts of community election integrity groups to be critical in the effort to discredit ERIC across the country.
A group called Protect Your Vote Florida published a page on its website called "How to Influence Florida Legislators to Suspend Contract with ERIC!"
"The STRATEGY is to run a campaign directed at key Florida legislators," the group wrote in the post, which included a list of the state's lawmakers and contact information. "Hand delivered letters, emails, phone calls, and social media activity will all be utilized to maximize impact."
Emails acquired by NPR through public records requests showed election officials began to field questions from voters and state lawmakers shortly after these calls went out.
3. A Trump ally has coordinated an election denial machine
Cleta Mitchell is known by many for working with former President Donald Trump to try to overturn the 2020 election. The attorney was on the infamous call where Trump asked Georgia election officials to "find votes."
In the time since, she's been building an election denial infrastructure.
Her podcast, "Who's Counting," has become a central hub for stolen election narratives, and she's also started a coalition of grassroots groups across the country called the Election Integrity Network.
NPR's investigation found Mitchell to be a ringleader of sorts for the effort to dismantle ERIC.
She even hosted a secret ERIC summit with red state lawmakers last summer, according to documents shared with NPR by a nonprofit watchdog group called Documented.
Secretaries of state from the first five states to withdraw from ERIC attended the event, according to one attendee.
See chart.
4. Republican primaries are a driving force behind the ERIC exodus
In Louisiana, when Ardoin made the decision to leave ERIC, he was gearing up to run for reelection in a state Trump won by almost 20 percentage points. He was facing numerous challenges on his right. And ERIC was becoming a priority for Republican voters.
"We started hearing it on the campaign trail," added Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen in an interview with NPR.
Allen ran for his office last year, and shortly after the Gateway Pundit published its first article, he made a campaign promise to pull out of ERIC if he won. This January, he followed through, and Alabama became the second state to withdraw.
Secretaries of state in Missouri, West Virginia and Ohio — all states that have pulled out — have announced campaigns for higher office next year, or are expected to run.
In Florida, Gov. Ron DeSantis is a candidate for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination. DeSantis appointed Cord Byrd as his secretary of state last year, and the state's stance on ERIC shifted almost immediately.
NPR's investigation found that before he was secretary, Byrd regularly joined election integrity calls hosted by Mitchell.
5. ERIC withdrawals will make for "dirtier voter rolls" and an emboldened far right
Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, a Republican, put it simply in an interview with NPR: The states that have left ERIC "indirectly said, 'We're going to have dirtier voter rolls.' "
Brianna Lennon, a Democrat who oversees voting in Boone County, Mo., told NPR that will surely be the case in her county.
Before Missouri joined ERIC, the elections office relied on returned mail to find out if a voter moved to another state.
"That's what we'll have to go back to using," she said.
Election experts say less accurate voter rolls have a direct impact on voters, from longer lines at precincts to mail ballots and information getting sent to the wrong places.
Lennon told NPR she's worried about what the ERIC saga means for the 2024 election cycle. She had gotten a sense recently that community election integrity groups were gaining more traction in her state, but she says the secretary of state's decision was the first major policy decision she's seen that lined up so directly with their goals.
"I'm sure there are going to be ripples that come from this particular move and I'm not exactly sure what the end will be," she said. "I don't think this is an isolated thing."
Read or listen to the full investigation here.

Tumblr media
Physique: Husky Build Height: 5'10“ (1.78 m)
Robert Gilliland Beckel (November 15, 1948 – February 20, 2022) was an American political analyst and pundit, and political operative. He had been a commentator on Fox News and was an original co-host of The Five until he was released in 2015 after being absent for several months recovering from back surgery. After departing Fox News, Beckel became a commentator for CNN, but returned to Fox News two years later as co-host of The Five. Later, Fox News announced Beckel had been fired again after he was accused of making a racist remark to a Fox News employee. Beckel died on February 20, 2022, at the age of 73.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Beckel had a penchant for alcohol, cocaine and getting oral from hookers before being saved later in life, in accordance with Christian doctrine. So there was a time where maybe after a few drinks and some lines, he wouldn’t mine a blow-job from an adoring male fan. Though he probably won’t reciprocate since he once choked on a large shrimp during a Fox party. So obviously he’s going to choke on my deal, but I’d still make the offer.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Of course he was straight, having been married with two children before getting divorced in 2002. He was the older brother of L.A. Confidential and Pearl Harbor actor Graham Beckel. I don’t really know anything else about him, other than I wanted to fuck him and his brother Graham.

in 2015 he was only 13 years old.
Ahmad Manasra has been held in prolonged solitary confinement since the beginning of November 2021, in violation of the absolute prohibition of torture and other cruel, inhumane or degrading treatment or punishment. The Israel Prison Service asked to renew Ahmad’s solitary confinement for a further six months on 17 April 2022. A hearing that was scheduled to be held on 15 June 2022 with regards to his solitary confinement was postponed to a later date. Ahmad Manasra’s mental health worsened during his incarceration. In October 2021 an independent Israeli clinical psychologist working with Physicians for Human Rights – Israel (PHRI) diagnosed him with severe psychiatric conditions, and stated these had developed since his incarceration. Ahmad Manasra’s parents said in February 2022 that their son had been diagnosed with schizophrenia, is suffering from psychotic delusions, and is severely depressed with suicidal thoughts. His lawyer, Khaled Zabarqa, told Amnesty International: “We have asked the Israel Prison Service to release Ahmad into home and community care as a matter of urgency because there is a real danger to his life. The prison doctors themselves recognized as much in their report on 13 June which led to his transfer from the prison cell to the prison hospital.”

Which Vocaloids have Twitter?
as twitter slowly burns to ash, a question that may have crossed your mind is "how many vocaloids are still using twitter?"
just for fun, i've put together a list of every official vocaloid twitter account i can think of! this list includes account handles, when the account was made, the language the account promarily posts in (usually the vocaloid's native language), whether the account is still active, and any other notes i think are interesting.
these are organized by vocaloid release date, not twitter account creation date.
Hatsune Miku
Japanese account (cfm_miku) created January 2010, English account (cfm_miku_en) created February 2014
both accounts are still active
Camui Gackpo
Japanese account (GackpoOfficial) created July 2023
active
GUMI
Japanese account (GUMIfromMegpoid) created November 2016
active
SONiKA
English account (SonikaVocaloid) created July 2009
inactive since November 2012
SONiKA was the first Vocaloid to have an official Twitter account!
Lily
Japanese account (DjLily_Vocaloid) created February 2011
inactive since April 2011
there are only 20 tweets.
SeeU
SeeU doesn't have an official Twitter, but a Twitter account was made to promote and celebrate her 10th anniversary (SeeU10thAnniv)! it was made in August 2021 and posts in Korean and is still active!
Tone Rion
Japanese account (tonerion) created October 2011
inactive since August 2012
OLIVER
English account (vocaloid_oliver) created November 2011
he also has a Chinese account (Oliver__China) created in July 2021, but that account still frequently posts in English
both accounts are active
his main English account was inactive for a while, i believe between 2017 and 2020, but he's back on the net!
CUL
Japanese account (CUL1224) created June 2021
active
Bruno and Clara
Spanish/English account (V3BrunoClara) created August 2013
inactive since December 2021
they shared!
IA
this drama queen has had 4 accounts. one is IA_Official (Japanese account, created July 2019, active), another is IaWorldpage (Japanese/English account, created April 2014, inactive since August 2014), the third is the account she shared with her little sister ONE, IA_ONE_Official (apparently deleted?) and last is IA_GLOWB (English account, created July 2022, active).
these accounts are largely focused on IA as a CeVIO and Vtuber/virtual artist rather than as a Vocaloid.
Aoki Lapis/Merli
neither individual Vocaloid has a Twitter, but i-style Project, which was focused solely on them, had a Twitter account under the handle i_style_vc3. it has since been deleted.
Luo Tianyi
interestingly, Luo Tianyi has only a Japanese Twitter account (LTYjp), created in January 2018 and inactive since August 2020
none of the other Vsinger characters seem to have Twitter accounts. this is probably because Weibo, which they DO all have accounts for, is more widely used in China than Twitter. (and at this point? i'm jealous of them.)
AVANNA
English account (VocaloidAvanna) created August 2012
inactive since new year's day of 2014. her last tweet was: "Wishing everyone a wonderful 2014!"
YOHIOloid
English/Japanese account (YOHIOloid) created April 2013
inactive since September 2013
in case you didn't know, yohioloid was released on september 10, 2013. his last tweet (out of a total of 5) was made on september 15, 2013.
MAIKA
mostly English and only sometimes Spanish account (VocaloidMaika) created September 2013
inactive since October 2022
Macne Nana
Japanese account (macnenana) created June 2009
inactive since June 2020
Macne Nana was released for VOCALOID3 in 2014, so this account must have been initially made for her debut as a GarageBand and Reason plugin
anonkanon
Japanese account (Anon_Kanon) created February 2014
inactive since June 2015
flower
flower has 2 accounts! both are Japanese. the first one, v_flower_jp, was made in April 2014 and has been inactive since June 2021, except for 2 tweets in April 2022 about flower's CeVIO release. flower's second account, Ci_flower_, created for the CeVIO release, was made in March 2022 and is still active.
Tohoku Zunko
Japanese account (t_zunko) created July 2011
active
Rana
Japanese account (rana_0909) created June 2014
inactive since September 2022
Xin Hua
her Twitter account was XinHuaOfficial, but it was...suspended for violating the Twitter Rules!? what did she do?????
unity-chan! (Kohaku Otori)
Japanese account (UnityChan_PR) created December 2013
active
it should be noted that the account was made when she first debuted as Unity Japan's mascot, and this account mostly focuses on promoting the Unity engine. she hasn't posted anything about her Vocaloid release in quite a while.
Xingchen
English/Japanese/Chinese account (quad_stardust) created December 2015
active
this account mostly posts in English, though the bio is Japanese and the tweets and retweets sometimes contain Japanese or Chinese. i assume most Chinese posts, like the Vsingers, are made on Weibo instead.
Otomachi Una
Japanese account (otomachiuna) created May 2016
active
MATCHA and AZUKI
the project they were created for, Project 575, has a Japanese account (project575) created in May 2012. this was for MATCHA and AZUKI's private V2 voicebanks.
this account has basically been inactive since late 2017, but they do still diligently post happy birthday messages each year for the main Project 575 characters
LUMi
Japanese account (ava_lumi) created June 2017
inactive since June 2021
Mirai Komachi
Japanese account (miraikomachi_PR) created May 2018
active
this is kinda similar to unity-chan where Mirai Komachi, as a character, is essentially a mascot affiliated with Bandai Namco. but unlike unity-chan, she still seems to frequently acknowledge her existence as a Vocaloid.
Haruno Sora
Japanese account (harunosora17) created May 2022
active
MEIKA Hime and Mikoto
Japanese account (himemiko_jp) created June 2019
inactive since June 2021
Hime and Mikoto shared the account and would frequently sign off tweets with their respective emojis and katakana characters; Hime's was 👹 and ヒ and Mikoto's was 😈 and ミ.

So, it should be pretty obvious by now that I'm firmly against fans boycotting Bioware and Dreadwolf due to the layoffs. I'll put it in business terms. I've worked for Fortune 500 companies, and I speak from that perspective.
The people who made it are hoping, and have said, that they hope people will love Dreadwolf as much as they do. Even when they were laid off.
It would punish the creatives who made the game far more than it would punish Bioware. They likely can't even talk about it due to NDAs unless/until it's released. Can you imagine not being able to talk about a thing you loved and poured years of your life, creativity, and passion into? I can. It would be heartbreaking.
I don't want to be responsible for harming people who love dragon age enough to make it for us. If I boycott, that's exactly what I'd be partially responsible for. I'm usually very pro-boycott, but in this case, I'm not.
So here's the question... we unequivocally live in a late stage capitalist nightmare world. Do you know how many other companies have laid off employees this year?
This type of behavior has been pro forma for corporate for at least 20 years, probably longer.
So, why would people boycott Dreadwolf and Bioware when they're by far not even the most egregious example of mass layoffs?
In 2022-2023, we've had these mass layoffs.
Meat giant Tyson Foods is laying off about 15% of senior leadership roles and 10% of corporate roles, according to an internal memo shared with CNN.
Y'all gonna boycott meat? I didn't think so.
3M announced significant layoffs as part of another major restructuring plan. The brand behind Post-It Notes and Scotch Tape said in a statement it would lay off 6,000 staff around the world.
Gonna boycott tape? Ear plugs? Sticky notes?
Lyft (LYFT)’s move in November to cut 13% of its workforce, citing fears of a looming recession.
Buzzfeed announced a 15% reduction in its workforce, or about 180 employees.
David's Bridal is eliminating 9,236 positions across the United States but did not specify how many stores would be affected.
Walmart is laying off more than 3,000 workers.
And I know many people can't afford to boycott Walmart.
Meta announced an additional 10,000 layoffs across several months on top of mass layoffs in 2022.
You still use Facebook? I personally loathe it and only keep an account for marketing reasons. I can barely even make it work anymore.
Three rounds of layoffs hit Disney (DIS), announced through a March 27 internal memo to employees. Around 7,000 people will be affected by the move over the next several months.
Amazon (AMZN) said in March it would cut 9,000 jobs, bringing the total number of Amazon (AMZN) staffers eliminated this year to around 27,000.
Indeed.com announced cuts of approximately 2,200 employees, representing almost 15% of its total workforce, the company said in March.
Satellite radio giant SiriusXM laid off 475 people, or about 8% of its workforce, as part of a broad restructuring.
Zoom (ZM) said it will lay off about 1,300 employees, or approximately 15% of its staff, in a memo to employees in Feburary.
Dell (DELL) laid off roughly 5% of its workforce, the company said in a regulatory filing in February. Dell had about 133,000 employees, the company told CNN. At that level, the 5% cut represents more than 6,500 employees.
Gonna refuse to use your computer?
Microsoft said in January it would be laying off 10,000 employees, according to a securities filing.
This was only up to around March of this year. There's loads more.
Point being it's ridiculous to boycott a company and hurt the people who made a thing they love just because they got laid off.
This is what corporations do. There is 0 loyalty to the employee at a corporation. It's all about the bottom line.
Maybe all y'all haven't worked in corporate, maybe people are hopping on the 'I'll boycott too' bandwagon. IDEK.
I honestly don't care if I change anyone's mind about it all, but it’s silly. Just outright ridiculous to expect a corporation to do anything but what corporations do.
It's not right. It's awful. I hate that Bioware basically backstabbed the creatives who made them what they are. But it's not new or even remotely rare. Bioware has laid off roughly 125 employees in the past handful of months.
Every company I named laid off far, far more. And if you think I'll believe you're going to boycott Microsoft, you must have a bridge you want to sell me, too.
Here's the source, if you want it.

ST. LOUIS — Christopher Dunn has spent 33 years in prison for a murder he has claimed from the outset that he didn’t commit. A hearing this week will determine if he should go free.
St. Louis prosecutors are now convinced Dunn is telling the truth, but lawyers for the Missouri Attorney General’s Office disagree and will argue for keeping him behind bars. Dunn, 52, is serving a sentence of life without parole at the state prison in Locking, Missouri, but is expected to attend the hearing before Judge Jason Sengheiser that begins Tuesday.
The hearing follows a motion filed in February By St. Louis Circuit Attorney Gabe Gore. A Missouri law adopted in 2021 allows prosecutors to request hearings in cases where they believe there is evidence of a wrongful conviction.
Dunn was convicted of first-degree murder in the death of 15-year-old Ricco Rogers in 1990, based largely on the testimony of two boys who said they witnessed the shooting. The witnesses, ages 12 and 14 at the time, later recanted, claiming they were coerced by police and prosecutors.
In May 2023, then-St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner filed a motion to vacate Dunn’s sentence. But Gardner resigned days later, and after his appointment by Gov. Mike Parson, Gore wanted to conduct his own investigation. Gore announced in February that he would seek to overturn the conviction.
Dunn, who is Black, was 18 when Rogers was shot to death on the night of May 18, 1990. No physical evidence linked Dunn to the crime but the two boys told police at the time that they saw Dunn standing in the gangway of the house next door, just minutes before shots rang out.
Rogers and the two boys ran when they heard the shots, but Roger was fatally struck, according to court records.
A judge has heard Dunn’s innocence case before.
At an evidentiary hearing in 2020, Judge William Hickle agreed that a jury would likely find Dunn not guilty based on new evidence. But Hickle declined to exonerate Dunn, citing a 2016 Missouri Supreme Court ruling that only death row inmates — not those like Dunn sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole — could make a “freestanding” claim of actual innocence.
The 2021 law has resulted in the the release of two men who both spent decades in prison.
In 2021, Kevin Strickland was freed after more than 40 years behind bars for three killings in Kansas City after a judge ruled that he had been wrongfully convicted in 1979.
Last February, a St. Louis judge overturned the conviction of Lamar Johnson, who spent nearly 28 years in prison for a killing he always said he didn’t commit. At a hearing in December 2022, another man testified that it was he — not Johnson — who joined a second man in the killing. A witness testified that police had “bullied” him into implicating Johnson. And Johnson’s girlfriend at the time had testified that they were together that night.
A hearing date is still pending in another case in which a Missouri murder conviction is being challenged for a man who was nearly executed for the crime.
St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Wesley Bell filed a motion in January to vacate the conviction of Marcellus Williams, who narrowly escaped lethal injection seven years ago for the fatal stabbing of Lisha Gayle in 1998. Bell’s motion said three experts have determined that Williams’ DNA was not on the handle of the butcher knife used in the killing.

Sam Britton stole luggage from a WOC. If a white woman did she would be crucified by leftists, and she should be held accountable. But it was stolen by a white guy with pronouns so leftists are 🤷‍♂️
A fashion designer is going viral after alleging that beleaguered former Department of Energy official and “gender fluid” activist Sam Brinton stole her suitcase and was photographed wearing the custom clothing she had inside the luggage.
Tumblr media
Asya Idarous Khamsin, a Tanzanian fashionista from Texas, took to Twitter on February 20 to explain that her suitcase had been stolen from Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C. almost 5 years ago. Khamsin says the stolen baggage contained a number of custom-made outfits she had designed herself, and, after hearing about Brinton’s chronic luggage theft, had looked him up out of curiosity.
Shockingly, Khamsin uncovered a number of photos of Brinton wearing clothing she identified as being her creations.
While the thread has just gone viral on Twitter this week, Khamsin first tried to bring attention to Brinton’s alleged thievery in December of 2022 when she made an Instagram video showing Brinton wearing her pieces.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In her Twitter thread, posted two days ago, she shared additional images of Brinton with side-by-sides of the clothing she had taken at other points in time.
One photo Khamsin provided showed a model walking a runway in a stunning yellow and gold dress, one which bears a design that looks impossibly similar when compared to outfits Brinton has been seen wearing in 2018 and 2019.
The gold crescent pattern on the fabric appears on many of Khamsin’s designs from her 2018 fashion show, Lady In Red.
Brinton had been photographed wearing at least two of the pieces suspected to have come from Khamsin’s luggage at the 2018 Trevor Project gala in New York City.
Tumblr media
Shocked and appalled, social media users began digging through photos of Brinton to try to find outfits that could also be items from Khamsin’s missing luggage.
Tumblr media
One user found a photo of Brinton wearing a top which was similar in design to the dresses, and asked Khamsin if she recognized it. The fashion designer claimed the top as yet another piece of clothing that had been in her stolen luggage.
Tumblr media
Khamsin explained that she first looked into Brinton as a suspect after his arrest for stealing luggage was reported by Fox News. Brinton has recently been charged with stealing a woman’s luggage at a Minneapolis airport in September 2022. The contents of the luggage was valued at $2,325.
Shortly after his arrest, Brinton was charged again for stealing another woman’s suitcase in an earlier incident at Las Vegas’ Harry Reid International Airport. According to police, the suitcase contained more than $3,500 worth of jewelry, clothing, and makeup. Security footage appears to show Brinton walking through Harry Reid International Airport with the luggage in July 2022.
According to the arrest warrant, Brinton had already received his own bags from the carousel before grabbing the stranger’s luggage and making off with it.
Tumblr media
Brinton appeared in court regarding the incident in Minneapolis on February 15. He was released without bail. He had appeared in court regarding the Las Vegas incident in December of 2022. In Nevada, bail for Brinton was set at $15,000 on a felony grand larceny charge. The Nevada judge in that case told the former nuclear waste official to “stay out of trouble.”
If found guilty of his charges, Brinton could face up to five years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine.
Prior to his arrest, Brinton worked as deputy assistant secretary of the Department of Energy’s Office of Spent Fuel and Waste Disposition. However, he has since been released from his position after the Biden administration came under scrutiny following his arrest.
Brinton’s employment in such a high ranking government role had raised eyebrows even prior to his alleged thievery coming to light due to his profile as a “genderfluid” LGBTQ activist and “kink lifestyle.”
When Brinton was first appointed to the Biden Administration, an article by Metro Weekly featuring Brinton called “Puppy Love” began to circulate publicly.
Tumblr media
In the article, Brinton explains his relationship with another man who pretends to be a dog called “Nubi”. “I can hear when Pup needs something faster, because of the difference in the grunts or the moans,” Brinton said. “I actually have trouble when we transition from pup play to having sex. Like, ‘No, I can’t have you whimper like that when we’re having sex,’ because I don’t want to mix that world. It’s interesting, because he doesn’t have to come out of pup mode to have me f*ck him.” Brinton told Metro Weekly.
As well as pup play, Brinton has also given talks at universities on BDSM. In one seminar titled ““Ropes, Whips, & Kinks, Oh My!!” The Polytechnic“, Brinton discussed various sexual fetishes, including adult babies, diaper play, humiliation, degradation, and more.

Hello there friends, it’s been a minute, but I have some good news for everyone that has waited. There is a lot, so I highlighted key words if you're searching for a specific piece of news.
1. Sinners Chapter Two: "There's nothing to be afraid of," will be out to the beta testers at the end of this month (January). Once the demo has gone through those edits, I will be releasing the demo to Patreon (go to #3) members. They will have one week of early access before the public release. I am estimating the public release to be the last week of February. Fingers crossed.
2. Because of this launch, I am clearing my inbox of the story drabbles. I apologize, but those sort of prompts and small stories will be a lot of the Sinners monthly content on Patreon. I will not be deleting the list here, but if you want more..
3. So, my Patreon. I will be launching my patreon "veswrites" in the next couple days. It will have 3 tiers for now: $2, $5, and $15. All of them will have access to the Sinners early access link. I have been back and forth on starting a Patreon for many months now, would I be able to create enough content, would anyone be interested, etc... but even if I have just one member, the urge and the push to create will help me a great deal in the long run. This is truly what I love doing, even with having to learn how to code.
4. Let's talk about @mannaheim-if . I've changed my plan from posting chapter by chapter for this WIP like I am doing with Sinners, and instead I will be releasing the story in its entirety for a very small fee (probably around $5). I will be working on it with Sinners concurrently, but after Chapter One is released that's it. Unless you're a top tier Patreon member, where the link to the Manna-Heim WIP will be updated gradually, chapter by chapter, when ready. The other tiers will also get MH content such as sneak peaks and material on side characters. I am actively looking for an artist to do some character art for this WIP! So if you know of someone or are that someone, I would love to talk.
That was a lot and I know I've been absent for awhile, but I hope you will stick around to see these two interactive stories come to fruition and maybe even see some others. 2022 was a very rough year for me, but I am looking forward to a much greater and brighter 2023 for me and for you :)
Skål.
