Wrestling Love Letters
The Bloodline Series: An Unfinished Story
Tumblr media
In the world of professional wrestling, the careful crafting of storylines is what keeps fans on the edge of their seats. Wrestlemania, the grandest stage of them all, is where these narratives reach their pinnacle. However, sometimes even the most compelling opportunities slip through the fingers of creative decision-makers, leaving fans disappointed and questioning what could have been.
Cody Rhodes, a name synonymous with wrestling legacy, emerged as the perfect contender to challenge Roman Reigns for one of his coveted championship belts at Wrestlemania 39 (2023). For fans, this wasn't just about crowning another champion; it was about concluding a narrative that had been evolving for years. More recently, viewers were engrossed by Cody's documentary, "American Nightmare: Becoming Cody Rhodes," and it became apparent that the climax of his journey (and subsequently, the documentary) should have culminated in a triumphant victory on the grandest stage of all. Taking the WWE Championship that his late father, Dusty Rhodes, never secured would have been the ultimate feel-good moment. Dusty was passed over for the title in favour of Macho Man Randy Savage, and regrettably, history appeared to repeat itself. Cody’s victory would have been a powerful tribute to his father's legacy whilst also strengthening his emotional connection with the audience.
But how could this have been executed without compromising Roman's reign? One solution lies in the storytelling itself. WWE could have refrained from putting both championship belts on the line, therefore allowing Cody to secure a monumental victory without diminishing Roman's position. This approach would have maintained the excitement of the story while preserving Roman's dominance. Moreover, Cody's victory could have been the start of a captivating downward spiral for Roman's character. Grappling to retain his remaining championship, Roman's increasing desperation could have led to him questioning the loyalty of those around him. This intriguing twist would have added layers to his character, making him more gripping and complex.
An additional consequence of WWE's creative decision was the necessity to introduce a new World Heavyweight title (currently held by the ever reliable Seth Rollins), as it was now evident that Roman was truly unbeatable, WWE had booked themselves into a corner where no one was a true threat. It's difficult not to assume that Cody was meant to be victorious at Wrestlemania, and a last-minute decision led to Roman's victory and, consequently, the introduction of a new title. Along similar lines, the once-menacing Money in the Bank briefcase has lost some of its suspense, as it's now evident that, if Cody couldn’t beat Roman Reigns, instilling confidence in a successful Damian Priest cash-in is going to be a challenge. Despite Damian having the support of the Judgement Day, Roman still remains strong with the remnants of the Bloodline, and with turmoil within both factions, the threat of the briefcase is being overshadowed.
Looking ahead, there's still an opportunity for WWE to rectify the situation. Rather than drawing out the Bloodline story with unnecessary twists, it's time to embrace the potential for evolution within the faction. An eagerly awaited feud between Jimmy and Jey Uso would provide a fresh storyline and further character development leading into Wrestlemania XL (2024). A feud between the brothers would captivate fans' attention, highlighting their individual strengths and motivations. Also the idea of the formation of a brother faction with Jimmy, Jey, and Solo against Roman would give fans something to rally behind.
Finally, the enigmatic Paul Heyman's role shouldn't be underestimated. To invigorate his character, Heyman could acquire a new protégé. This could be an opportunity to bring in a rising star from NXT (or mentor a recent call up), injecting new blood into the main roster while giving fans a fresh dynamic to invest in.
In the pro wrestling universe, missed opportunities can often become catalysts for a new and exciting direction. While Cody Rhodes' Wrestlemania victory would have been a fitting tribute to his legacy, the path not taken opens doors for future innovation and the potential for a new ending to Cody’s story.
With pins, submissions, and a whole lot of heart, Chloe xoxo

Bored as fuck so I’m booking a new day wrestlemania main event
Right now they’re the embodiment of smackdown pride. They may not have won there match but they put on a hell of a match, and often did lead there brand so Shane decides to reward them. By making them the first three entrants on the side of team smackdown into the royal rumble. Sami zayn and Kevin Owens however express there discontent with this decisions and challenge the new day at clash of champions. Sami zayn wins the match for his team off a distraction and a quick role up and regrettably for Shane this puts them in line for a tag team title match at royal rumble. The new day regroups and focuses on the rumble. Sami zayn and Kevin Owens also manage to win spots into the royal rumble, no matter the result at royal rumble. On smackdown the new day begins picking up steam alongside shinsuke nakamura, Corbin, and styles and zayn on the favorites to win the match. On raw the shield is a threat as a unit, alongside Braun, joe, and Finn Balor. As the weeks go by sami and Kevin play up the division card for the new day and tell them only one can actually win the rumble. But the new day deflects these and says no matter what they are still brothers and still selling boxes of booty o’s and cans of booty juice. And the three stand dominant over Sami and Kevin as the usos run out and pick the scraps. Then the rumble happens in philly. The openin match? The SD LIVE tag team title match, and Kevin and Sami come out hyped as hell. The usos put up a good fight but fall to Sami zayn and Kevin Owens.they celebrate and then regroup for later. When the rumble comes the first to come out is Kevin who goes on about the unfairness of Shane McMahon. Number 2 is Finn balor. The two duke it out as the ring fills up and at the number 6 spot big E rolls out. And lays waste to the field tossing over two people. He prepares to eliminate Kevin but Sami’s music hits as the number 7 entrant and the two gang up on him he has no luck fighting them back and can only survive until entrant number 12 Xavier woods. He evens the score and the all duke it out as woods comes and saves his partner and tosses one man out. The four are seperates as braun comes out at 13 and they all break to eliminate him. He lays waste to everyone and tosses 3 men over leaving just him and the smackdown super stars. At 14 dean Ambrose comes and heads right for the monster among men. As braun awaits dean he gets chopped in the knee by Kevin and jumped on by everyone they all brawl until entrant number 20 Finn balor comes and enters with eliminations of his own. As Kevin Owens faces elimination and gets one of his own he eats a drop kick and falls to the floor eliminated. He’s angry but stays to cheer on sami. Entrant number 22 is Seth Rollins who comes to dean Ambrose’s aid but once again braun starts to rampage, until number 23 comes in the form of Kane. The two stare off as they begin to duke it out. They have each other choked out on the rope as everyone comes together to eliminate them. With two of the bigger threats gone a brawl breaks out as the competition starts thinning. At number 24 Roman reigns comes out and completes the shield as the trio runs house on everyone. As they begin to dominate number 25 strikes in the form of Kofi Kingston who comes to the aid of the new day and as the trios once again cross paths. They strike at each other, as the tire out sami zayn sneakily admits both dean Ambrose and Xavier woods who were near the ropes. 26 comes as shinsuke nakamura and he heads for Finn balor in an all star match up. Once again sami eliminates from behind this time with Finn balor as his victim. He can celebrate as he is tosses over by big E who is in turn knees over by Seth Rollins. On the outside if the ring Sami and Kevin jump on Big E and Xavier woods rushes down to help him. Kevin gets a running start and skies over the ropes to help his brothers as his feet land on their bodies and not the floor. He stands on Sami’s chest looking confused but big E carries him back to the ring. As he gets back in hue dodges an attacking Seth Rollins and sends him over. 27 28 and 29 come in with no eliminations. And the eliminations boil down to Kofi Kingston Roman reigns, and shinsuke nakamura as number 30 makes his entrance. And number 30 is Samoa joe. The four eye each other as the begins as it continues Kevin Owens runs out to distract Kofi, Kofi dodges a spear from reigns which connects with Owens as he rolls to the floor. Roman eats a kick from joe and flies over eliminated. Kofi passes out from a breather as joe comes to attack but he is intercepted by shinsuke nakumara. Joe applies the conquina clutch but kofi comes to and hits a boom drop. Kofi delivers a drop kick and sends Joe out of the ring Kofi and shinsuke battle it out but a well timed trouble in paradise wins it for Kofi. The new day runs out to celebrate with him as they carry him around. On smackdown kofi is congratulated all around but challenged by the new tag team champions as a fluke. Just as it gets heated the usos come and stake there claim to a rematch at fast lane. At fast lane the usos come up short after a low blow from sami zayn, meanwhile the new day beats Shelton Benjamin and chad gable and claim they want sami and Kevin at wrestlemania. On smackdown Kofi Kingston cones face to face with Aj styles while the new day vs the usos is scheduled in a number one contenders bout. Aj tells Kofi he should stick to tag team wrestling because he can’t shine on his own, and Kofi says he’s gonna shine in the mania main event as he takes that title away at mania At mania it’s an elimination match between the usos the new day and Kevin and Sami. It comes down to 1-1-2 in favor of Sami and Kevin but sami turns on Kevin lays him out cold effectively taking them from the match. Big e beats jey uso win it for his team. Later Kofi pin Aj to win his first world title as the three celebrate together

Mauricio Pochettino: Have Tottenham made the right decision in sacking their manager?

Mauricio Pochettino: Have Tottenham made the right decision in sacking their manager?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mauricio Pochettino (standing next to Spurs chairman Daniel Levy) guided Tottenham to their first Champions League final, losing 2-0 to Liverpool in June
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy made no attempt to disguise the ruthless decision that prompted the departure of Mauricio Pochettino – this was a sacking, not a parting of ways dressed up as mutual consent.
It will be seen by many as an extraordinary move, coming just months after the Argentine took Spurs to their first Champions League final, against Liverpool in Madrid.
With hindsight, Spurs’ 2-0 defeat was the beginning of the end.
Something was broken that night at the Wanda Metropolitano and it has not been the same since for the club and their now ex-manager.
Tottenham sack manager Pochettino
How Pochettino’s Spurs reign unravelled – in numbers
Reaction to Pochettino’s sacking
Football Daily ‘Pochcast’ – the day Spurs sacked their manager
Why has it gone wrong so quickly for Pochettino?
Spurs seemed set fair for a golden future on that balmy night in Spain, when club and manager hit the pinnacle of a Champions League final appearance.
And yet the subsequent defeat appeared to open up all the frustrations that Pochettino had been feeling about his inability to work in the transfer market against the backdrop of the construction of the club’s new £1bn stadium.
It was a situation exacerbated by that fact that players who he expected to depart in order to finance his squad restructuring – such as Christian Eriksen, Toby Alderweireld and Danny Rose – could not be sold.
The pain of that defeat was a watershed for Pochettino. He was unable to change the dynamic of his team and had simply run out of ways to recharge his own batteries and those of his players.

Watch Pochettino’s final BBC interview as Spurs boss
The 47-year-old, who later admitted he may have quit had Spurs beaten Liverpool that night, underwent a very obvious change in demeanour, cutting a sullen, downbeat figure.
Some close to the club even suggested he had become a distant figure on the training ground, where previously he had been hands-on and all-encompassing.
The warning signs were clear after a friendly win against Real Madrid in July when Pochettino made a very pointed remark about his influence – or lack of it – at the club.
He said: “Sell, buy players, sign contract, not sign contract. I think it is not in my hands, it is in the club’s hands and Daniel Levy.
“The club needs to change my title and description. Of course I am the boss deciding the strategic play but in another area I don’t know. Today I feel like I am the coach.”
Sir Alex Ferguson used to talk about “the four-year cycle” at Manchester United, the crucial time when a team needs refreshing, fresh voices need to be heard, fresh ideas implemented by new players.
Pochettino, because of a financial straightjacket, could not do that. This season he performed like a stale manager in charge of a stale squad.
The Spurs set-up is heavy on players who have been with Pochettino most, if not all, of the way, such as Eriksen, Rose, Jan Vertonghen, Harry Kane, Dele Alli, and Eric Dier.
They have looked a side short on inspiration and it has been reflected in performances such as the humiliating 7-2 loss at home to Bayern Munich in the Champions League, the first time they had conceded seven goals at home in their 137-year history.
Spurs’ 7-2 defeat to Bayern Munich was the biggest home defeat of an English team in any European competition
They are back on course to reach the knockout phase but as Levy said in his statement: “Regrettably domestic results at the end of last season and the beginning of this season have been extremely disappointing.”
Spurs are currently 14th in the Premier League, 11 points behind Manchester City in fourth place, winning only three of their first 12 top-flight games.
And it was significant Pochettino felt compelled to talk about players with “different agendas” after the humiliating League Cup exit to League Two Colchester United.
In 2019, no Premier League side has lost more games in all competitions than Spurs’ 18. The last time they lost more in a calendar year was in 2008 when they suffered 19 defeats under Juande Ramos and Harry Redknapp.
Has Levy made the right decision?
Outsiders – and indeed plenty of Spurs supporters – were quick to condemn the haste of Pochettino’s departure and the brutal manner in which it was announced. And they make a valid point.
Pochettino, after all, took Spurs to within 90 minutes of Europe’s most prized trophy and provided four successive top-four finishes after arriving from Southampton in May 2014.
He has rightly been credited with revitalising Spurs and putting them among Europe’s elite, despite the financial restrictions placed on him by the move out of their old White Hart Lane home, becoming one of the most coveted coaches in European football.
Pochettino’s overall record has been hugely impressive although, crucially, trophies have eluded him and Spurs.
His 55.9% winning record supports the argument of those who will criticise Levy for sacking Pochettino too quickly, refusing to show patience with a manager who gave Spurs great moments such as the dramatic comeback from two goals down against Ajax in the Champions League semi-finals that left the manager in tears on television saying: “Thank you football.”
Pochettino’s assistant Jesus Perez and coaches Miguel d’Agostino and Antoni Jimenez have also left the club
And yet, on the evidence of this season, something was clearly wrong at the heart of Spurs. If not exactly rotten, certainly stale.
Spurs have a new stadium to pay for and they cannot be seen to fall out of that elite group so swiftly.
Pochettino is a figure loved by Spurs fans, the song ‘He’s magic you know’, becoming a familiar refrain. Even that, though, has been tested in recent times as he cut a jaded figure devoid of inspiration.
It is undoubtedly a high-risk gamble by Levy.
He will be well aware of the criticism he will face if his decision to sack him backfires – but his statement brooked no argument. He feels he has been left with no choice.
Now he faces a defining moment of his time as chairman.
What next for Pochettino and Spurs?
Pochettino’s time at Spurs will be viewed as an outstanding piece of work when the dust settles on his dismissal.
And when he decides to return to the game, he will have no shortage of suitors.
The problem is that he may have to wait, although his intense, full-on approach means he may now actually benefit from a period of refreshment.
Mauricio Pochettino won 159 times in 293 games in all competitions during his time at Tottenham
When any big jobs become available, Pochettino’s name will be at the forefront of the contenders.
He was constantly linked with Manchester United, although Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is in charge now and has the backing of the club’s board.
Pochettino would also interest Real Madrid should they decide to change from Zinedine Zidane while Paris St-Germain are also admirers, although Thomas Tuchel is currently at the helm there.
Bayern Munich is a major job on the market after the sacking of Niko Kovac in early November.
Interim head coach Hansi Flick has made an impressive start and Bayern have said he will be in charge “until further notice”, although there is no indication yet of a permanent deal.
Pochettino has all the credentials and the news of his sacking is sure to alert the Bundesliga giants.
Will he return to the Premier League? It is hard to see which jobs would attract him.
The next Premier League big one that might become available? Well, Unai Emery is under pressure at Arsenal.
And what of Tottenham?
Right at the front of the queue within moments of Pochettino’s sacking being made public – Jose Mourinho.
The Portuguese is out of work and jobs such as Real Madrid are currently out of reach, so ‘The Special One’, who still has a base in London after his sacking by Manchester United last December, will be interested.
The question is whether he is Levy’s type. He does not come cheap and does not work cheap – he will want the big-money signings Pochettino did not get.
And while there are other candidates – Bournemouth’s Eddie Howe, former Juventus boss Max Allegri and Napoli’s Carlo Ancelotti among them – Mourinho appeared to be fastest out of the blocks in the moments after Pochettino’s sacking.
Mourinho in contention to replace Pochettino
Jose Mourinho has twice managed Chelsea and also been in charge at Manchester United in the Premier League

A “Brief” Overview of Nabooan Colonization and the Development of Nabooan Culture
A year after the Old Sith Wars ended, the Grizmalltian Queen Elsinore den Tasia ascended to the Grizmalltian throne. Due to the pressures of the centuries long war that the Republic had just endured, the Queen felt lead to do whatever was necessary to improve her planets financial situation as they were deeply in debt. As such, she commissioned Kwilaan to scout out new worlds for her people to colonize and accumulate necessary resources. This was not an exceptional idea in the time period that it occurred. During the Republic’s Restoration Period, between the Old and New Sith wars, as a means of improving infrastructure, the Republic offered corporations safe passage through hyperspace lanes in exchange for commercial investments. Queen Elsinore was merely one of many who followed what had proven to be a successful endeavor. Thus, it was that Naboo, named for the God of wisdom Nabu, was first discovered between 3,916:3–3,915:2 B.R.S.
Regrettably, the Queen’s plan was not successful. While Naboo became a popular place for big-game hunters, and the newly discovered hyperspace lanes generated new revenue, it proved to be ineffective. The money was poorly distributed through the aristocracy, and heavy taxes burdened the lower classes. This created significant resentment against the noble and royal classes who were able to avoid paying the taxes as they headed the feudal system. Moreover, they were the ones who reaped the benefits of the exploration programs that simply would be of no use to peasants (who certainly weren’t about to spend loads of credits they didn’t have to go hunting on a foreign planet). Resentment further increased as those who returned from the New Sith Wars found that their place on the farms had been taken over, that they no longer had work, or were unable to take care of themselves and their families due to debilitating injuries. When famine inevitably came, the anger that was directed at the monarchy and the nobility came to a head resulting in a violent revolution that mirrors the French Revolution that occurred in our galaxy.
Naboo was, hence, colonized by the Grizmalltians who, out of loyalty, fear, or personal moral beliefs, refused to participate in the revolution, as well as the nobles who could afford to provide the ships to escape (and had no other option). It was lead by the Queen’s granddaughter, also called Elsinore, who, with the help of Kwilaan, organized the people allowing several thousand Grizmalltians to flee to Naboo. Her courage is still considered inspiring on Naboo and is simultaneously the reason for the popularity of Queens and (one of the reasons) the Nabooan tendency to elect young Queens who, unlike Elsinore den Taria I, who was in her seventies when the revolution occurred, were not yet corrupted, senile, uncreative, or set in their ways. Youth is vibrant.
The journey took many, many months, and was exceedingly difficult, and dangerous. The Grizmalltians had been forced to flee quickly and supplies were inadequate and difficult to obtain with little to trade. Moreover, with the hyperspace routes still so newly being charted (aside from the Corellian Run which they initially followed), emerging from hyperspace safely was far from guaranteed. Pirates also frequently looted these areas. Along their expedition, the colonists encountered explorers and traders from the planet Thule. Like the Grizmalltians, the Thulians had suffered due to the Sith wars. The Thulians had left their planet which had, only fifty standard years previously, been under Sith reign and was still recovering from the devastation. In return for helping the Grizmalltians survive, the Thulians, who did not desire to return to war-torn Thule, requested that they accompany the Grizmalltians to Naboo. It was agreed. The present Nabooan culture and language is a fusion of these two cultures who sought a better life in a galaxy recovering from war. The epic of the colonists journey is one of the oldest and most valued pieces of literature on Naboo.
When the colonists finally arrived on Naboo, they landed on Dee’Ja Peak and began to settle the land. The current royal houses of Naboo are the descendants of the Grizmalltian nobility that fled as well as the prominent Thulian leaders. The Nabooan people take great pride in their lineage and try to trace back their family trees as far as possible, but few, by the time of the Rise of the Empire era, can succeed. The Naberrie family, Padme’s family, is the house currently ruling over the Dee’Ja Peak area. While one of the oldest royal houses they are now, somewhat, removed from the very centre of politics due to their mountainous lifestyle. This is one reason Padme was looked down upon by other houses in her early career. She was the second daughter of a low-ranking Naberrie born in an obscure mountain village dedicated to farming. She may be royal, but she wasn’t, initially, “significant.” Her maternal family, Thule, which is also a royal house, is a descendant of one of the Thulian leaders. Their culture used patronymics as names, but decided to choose last names as they began to settle Naboo. Padme’s ancestor chose to use the name of his first homeworld as his surname. Family is quite important on Naboo and there is a certain sense of classism. This isn’t necessarily condescending; it stems from the belief that certain families, and individuals, carry certain talents or abilities better down a bloodline, and cooperation and respect for all classes is important for society to function. As always though, there will be those people who look down on others for being “common,” and intermarriage certainly wasn’t encouraged. (You can bet that people would have been scandalized if they had known that Padme had married Anakin, especially if he were obliged to leave the Order: Royalty, prominent royalty at that, marrying some low-class commoner of unknown heritage and paternity?! Gasp!)
The Nabooan culture, surprisingly, didn’t take long to establish, although the creole language came later. Due to the wars that had devastated their planet, as well as some brutal clashes with the Gungans, the Naboo came to desire pacifism and rationality. Nevertheless, the nobility, did not forget that they had almost been slaughtered on Grizmallt and, thus, encouraged the study of self-defense amongst their ranks. Meanwhile, the Thulians, who had grown up in a militaristic environment, and who also had cause to fight pirates, sympathized with this. Thus, a curious paradox erupted, the male nobility learned to fight, (often with vibroblades), and it was said that this was done so that they could protect the lower classes and maintain the law (this was before a proper law enforcement after all). Additionally, they could contain violence between houses, if necessary, by challenging individual champions to duels. However, no standing army was ever maintained and the ability to fight was not taught to the average individual. The royal houses were not about to risk open revolt like had happened on Grizmallt. There did, nevertheless, develop several family lines who became responsible for security of the royal family, much as there were families in our galaxy who prided themselves in serving the monarchy. Captain Typho and Panaka came from one of these families, both were very traditional. Hence, Panaka’s horror at discovering Padme’s secret marriage, and Typho’s decision not to tell Padme how he felt about her, as he knew his place. He had been born to serve her, not to be her partner in love. He knew his place and his family’s position.
On the more clandestine end, the noble women would come to form the “Order of the Sacred Circle,” which was exclusive to their gender, where they learned both unarmed and armed combat. The armed combat involved a dagger that was passed down mother to daughter for generations, and was even worn surreptitiously in their wedding dresses  to symbolize their ability to protect their family. As indicated above, the common people were kept ignorant of this to preserve the element of surprise should they ever face a violent revolution again. As such the Order remained a “legend” to the rest of the Nabooan people. True to the pacifist mindset though, the connections made between women during their training were said to be able to prevent a war, as when the men decided to fight, their wives, sisters, mothers, etc. would have friends on the “enemy” side and would work to prevent it. Hence, it was also a place where you trained in espionage-diplomacy...if that even makes sense, but when you consider that Padme and all of her handmaidens were trained in the Sacred Circle, it should. ;)  Also, the reason Padme had blasters hidden in her throne stems from the need to protect the royal family from attacks like what happened during the revolution that pushed the colonization of Naboo.
Other changes that were implemented as a result of the revolution was the nature of feudalism. The Thulians did not have a “serf” class and the Grizmalltians adopted this remembering the peasants rage that had propelled them to revolt back home. Additionally, it was established that the ruling families were not above the law. The Thulians who had suffered a totalitarian dictatorship were entirely behind this decision, and they came together to establish certain laws that would apply to all people noble or common. It is also from the harsh lessons learned on Grizmallt that the Naboo came to prioritize duty as a highly prized virtue and the sense of noblesse oblige was significantly heightened. We can definitely see echoes of this upbringing in Padme’s behaviour. To further appease the lower classes, although the initial motivation behind it became lost to some degree over the centuries, it came to be that the royals would encourage volunteerism at a young age to show that they would not be abusing their roles. Thus, a delicate balance came to be established on the new planet.
A regrettable side effect of this would be that on Naboo, particularly amongst the higher classes, an importance came to be placed upon image and public perception. You had to be seen to be “doing good.” Weddings were massive events to prove wealth. Volunteer work was done to prove that you were “selfless.” Anything that was necessary to be kept secret was considered to be shameful. (As a side note, the means of communicating through clothing, and flower language, also developed from this need to be seen. All secrets were kept in the open.) Conversely, though, due to the difficulty of living in such a manner, privacy was valued on Naboo. Essentially, a “don’t tell and don’t ask” policy. This would serve Padme well in hiding her marriage and preventing an investigation into her death and her pregnancy. It also explains her reticence on keeping a marriage a secret. Aside from all of the other concerns, a small and secret wedding was culturally a huge no-no. In fact, her whole relationship with Anakin was pretty counter-cultural for Padme, and really indicative of just how much she loved him.
Weddings were often arranged between the higher classes and were seen as a means to foster economic and social ties between various clans. Fostering children between different families was also quite common, whether it was an allied house or another part of the clan. This was said to foster ties between various Houses to prevent wars and encourage good faith; it was also seen as a means to ensure children were not spoiled. Ties between foster parents were just as important as other ties. Padme, when she became interested in politics, was sent to live with her grandmother in Theed, as a result of this mindset. In many ways, she felt closer to her grandmother than her parents, and was devastated when Winama Naberrie died. Unsurprisingly, with family ties being so significant, after fulfilling their mandatory service noble women were expected to marry in their early twenties or so. Second daughters might be able to get away with waiting longer but there would be pressure. You can observe this in how Jobal treats Padme. (Realistically, while it was not talked about, extra-marital affairs were not necessarily uncommon either. They were even tolerated if “discreet.” Most people who suspected that Anakin and Padme were involved likely figured it was just a fling on Padme’s part, before she was, finally, obliged to settle down.) Children were expected as well, but great respect was placed upon motherhood as a role that nurtured the next generation.
Each clan had a different royal in charge meant to protect the people and enforce the law within their region of land. Those who lived within those regions were a part of the “clan” but were not royal. This concept of nomadic and pastoral living was a Thulian concept that the Grizmalltians found necessary to adopt as a rigid lifestyle is not so easily established when you are just settling in and could get attacked at any time. Internal politics dictates that the clan head would have sons, brothers, or cousins etc. who looked over individual regions that the clan was responsible for creating a hierarchy, and small gatherings amongst just one royal house happened with reasonable frequency to maintain order. As the population grew, these small area would even grow to become city-states and the clans would continue to expand territory, and to be the head of a clan became quite prestigious. These heads would meet with other heads at specific intervals to have assemblies to discuss laws or issues etc. in a democratic matter. In time an elective monarchy would develop and amongst themselves, or candidates they produced from amongst their extended family, a monarch would be chosen. Unsurprisingly, the first elected was a young girl.
Note: The idea of flower language for Naboo I got from @fialleril  and her delightful blog. The above details I have extrapolated from Legends and Canon material. I will explain how and why I believe that the Nabooans were descendent from two cultures in future posts.

Send out the SOS, Roman: It's time for Chelsea to turn to unlikeliest of saviours
Chelsea are in the throes of a crisis.
A defeat to Manchester City is not normally something to panic about, particularly not this Manchester City team, so irrepressible and effervescent under Pep Guardiola.
But Chelsea were taken to bits on Sunday, battered 6-0 at the Etihad Stadium in a game when Sergio Aguero also missed a sitter and hit the crossbar. Had it been 8-0, perhaps Maurizio Sarri would no longer be in a job.
As it is, he stormed down the tunnel on the final whistle, cigarette butt between his teeth, refusing to shake the hand of Pep Guardiola. Afterwards, he aimed a pointed jibe at owner Roman Abramovich, claiming that it will be nice to see him, as he never hears from him.
“If the president calls, I’ll be happy, seeing as I never hear from him,” he said, per Sky Sports. “To be honest, I don’t know what to expect.”
Sarri has been in charge for less than a season but already it appears that the experiment has failed. Sarri refuses to adapt, refuses to change his tactics. Sarri-ball was much heralded at the start of the season as the key to unlocking the top four, to transforming Chelsea back into title challengers. Instead, it has been a quagmire of boring football, poor results and a slide down the table.
The Blues are now sixth, by virtue of goal difference after their monumental defeat on Sunday. They are only a point behind Manchester United but they are 10 off third-placed Tottenham and 15 off the top.
If a change is to be made, if Abramovich is to send out an SOS to managers in a bid to rescue Chelsea’s season and secure qualification for the Champions League, there is only one man he can call: Jose Mourinho.
The Portuguese is out of work again, of course, after leaving United and it must be mentioned that the Red Devils are in better shape without him. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has yet to lose in the dugout and the mood at Old Trafford has been lightened, the curtains were thrown back and light let in.
Yet what Solskjaer has done at United – taken a club he knows inside out back to their roots – is exactly what Mourinho could do at Chelsea.
Former Wigan & Fulham man, Jimmy Bullard recently showed that he’s still got it! Check out the video below…
He has been there before and he has done it all. He won three Premier League titles across two spells at the club, the FA Cup and three League Cups. Sarri has the chance to add his own League Cup medal to the Chelsea winners’ cabinet but that does not appear very likely, as the Blues again face Manchester City in the final.
Mourinho has the knowledge, the gusto and surely the motivation to come in and transform this Chelsea team.
They have a talented striker in Gonzalo Higuain again, who is akin to the likes of Didier Drogba and Diego Costa, both of whom were essential to previous Mourinho sides at Chelsea, and Eden Hazard is still around.
Of course, Mourinho left the club under a cloud. The incident with the physio, Eva Carneiro, was regrettable and has tarnished the Portuguese’s reputation, perhaps indefinitely.
But few can argue with his results. This is not to say that he would necessarily be a caretaker but the carrot of besting United, the latest club to show him the door, should be all the motivation Mourinho needs.
There were some strange decisions made towards the end of his reign and his falling out with Paul Pogba is another black mark against his name.
At the end of the day, however, Chelsea are unlikely to care.
They have had a massive turnover of managers in recent years and they have continued to win. Mourinho, love him or loathe him, has been central to that.
Parachuting him in for a rescue job may not exactly be the sort of welcome Mourinho would want – he is not Sam Allardyce, routinely saving teams from relegation.
But taking Chelsea above United, into the Champions League, and restoring his reputation at a club where he was once adored is a hell of a sales pitch.
Abramovich should, at the very least, ask the question.
He knows Mourinho well, and their working relationship has paid handsome dividends in the past.
If Sarri goes, we should see the third coming of one of the greatest and most controversial managers of all time.

CELTIC AGM 2017. Res12 2013 Update from Auldheid, released after he questioned the Celtic board on Res 12 at today’s AGM. Statement reads as follows…
“In the past year the Club has continued to work with shareholder representatives to seek to achieve a satisfactory solution to the concerns raised by both the board and shareholders regarding issues of football governance. Shareholders raised their initial concerns via Resolution 12 from our AGM in 2013, relating to Scottish FA licensing procedures in 2011.
“At that meeting a vote was taken to adjourn the resolution indefinitely to allow further enquiries to be made of the SFA and if necessary UEFA.
“Having raised the matter with the Scottish FA in 2011 and 2012, the Club had received assurances as to the process followed. Following the concerns raised by shareholders, over the last four years the Club has continued to work with shareholder representatives to seek further clarification on various matters, and the matter was, and continues to be reviewed, by the Board on a regular basis.
“Over those four years, the Club has corresponded with the Scottish FA, and independent solicitors instructed by the shareholders have also corresponded with the Scottish FA, providing them with information for consideration and asked further questions regarding governance procedures.
“The responses received thus far did not address the concerns raised.
“At the same time, court proceedings which related to the issues raised in correspondence were progressing in the Scottish courts. The Club and shareholders agreed to await the outcome of those proceedings.
“Following the conclusion of those court proceedings, the Club called upon the Scottish FA to hold an independent review of all matters, including the licensing processes followed in 2011, which are of importance to the governance of football in Scotland. The SPFL also called for a review.
“Regrettably, the SFA declined to hold such a review.
“The Club remains of the view that an independent review established by the Scottish FA and SPFL presents the best opportunity to allow lessons to be learned and recommendations made to ensure effective governance moving forward so that such events cannot happen again.
“However, the Board and shareholders welcomed the SFA’s decision to refer the specific issue of UEFA licensing procedures in season 2011/2012 to the SFA Compliance Officer for him to review.
“The Club awaits the outcome of that review with keen interest and will review matters with shareholder representatives at that stage.
“The Board will take appropriate steps to promote and protect the interests of the Club and will continue to work closely with the shareholders’ representatives.”
Statement ends.
