first we have ceroba! she swaps with toriel in this au or uh. appleroba. yeah (if you have questions about her, ask away. i think i have a general idea of how her character is so)

and we have the pleiades! equivalent of the ruins in rswap

these are the full concept arts that i did for pleiades! also a color test though, to get a sense of the atmosphere

your storyshift au looks super interesting!! (and we actually shared similar concepts for our respective aus lol) really looking forward to how it plays out

if possible i would like a bit more info about the settings, they look super cool already based on their inspirations but i would like to know if there’s other certain buildings/architecture/etc you’re planning to include in these locations as well :)

Heya! Glad you're interested in Storyshift! (NGL I was a bit worried at first that Redswap was a bit too similar to my own AU, but I understand it was a coincidence hehe).

As for places in SequenceShift, my personal favorite is Lakeside Village. This homely little place combines elements from Snowdin and the Honeydew Resort, as well as taking inspiration from traditional Japanese villages. I covered it briefly in the overview, but it's a town renowned for its baked goods and abundance in flowers and plays a very important role in food production for the Underground. Annually, they host the Festival of the Harvest, which in the past used to be hosted by Empress Ceroba herself. However, she sadly hasn't attended since Kanako's passing.

Next up is the Frostpeak Settlement. Since I'm a Colorado boy, I based it a bit off of how some of the smaller towns around here look in the winter. This is more or less the actual Snowdin of SequenceShift. Plot wise it acts as a mining town/trading post (the mines connect the Dunes to Frostpeak in this AU) responsible for supplying the resources needed to maintain the Steamworks and other towns across the Underground. Don't have much set up for it yet, but this is also where Martlet's house is located in the AU.

Lastly, I don't have a picture of it, but AXS Studios is one of the first locations Clover will come across after the Steamworks. The Imperial City (what I renamed New Kingdom to) combines traditional Edo-style architecture with a modern metropolis (mixing elements from both East Asian and North American cities), and while Ketsukane Palace focuses on the former, AXS studios shows the more modern side of the Underground. Due to Axis's status as a lower-end celebrity, don't expect his studio to be fashionable or anything. To give a taste of that Southern/Western feel, it's actually a small outlet located in a strip mall. Definitely nowhere near as glamorous as Mettaton. That's all I have so far, but I love taking every opportunity I can to flesh out SequenceShift. Hey! Figured I'd return the favor for your ask. When it comes to Redswap, what's Ceroba's relationship with some of the other characters? For example, did Starlo still have his crush on her, how do some of the other characters see the ex-queen/empress/whatnot, ect. Figured I'd ask since the Roba is my personal favorite character from UTY

thank you so much for the ask! that’s uh. a really good question. i need to think about this for a minute

given the fact that ceroba was the former empress, she’s definitely older than her canon counterpart. she even has the grey hairs to prove that 😅 which definitely changes a lot of the relationships she has on a fundamental level.

i’d say in this au, rather than having a crush on her, starlo has a huge amount of respect for her—she was one of his mentors, actually! (i’ll get to that at some point) (which means he didn’t necessarily have a crush on her or anything)

but overall, i’d say her influence is pretty spread out across the underground despite leaving her position as empress to live in the pleiades. the emperor has a very bold and almost suffocating ideology that some disagree with—so actually, when ceroba left and word started to circulate regarding where she had left to, some of the monsters also moved to the pleiades. it’s the canonical reason why it isn’t as abandoned as the canon undertale’s ruins

and additionally, her influence is still pretty present in the emperor’s city of residence too. i’m not able to reveal it yet but the reason why it has the name that it does (aka: why it’s based off of a greek myth instead of a shinto or chinese myth) is because she named it. there was an attempt to change the city name a few times but everyone just kept calling it by its original name so the emperor just gave up

finally, in the present day she’s pretty close with someone she literally hasn’t seen the face of. i think you know what canon UT dynamic this is a parallel of ;)

redid the ceroba ref 🎀

i’ll add more doodles + info about her when i can but a few things you should probably know:

🎀 - she swaps with toriel in this au 🎀 - fills the role of the “overseer” of redswap’s equivalent of the ruins, known as the pleiades (more populated / less abandoned compared to the ruins! they experienced a revival of sorts recently) 🎀 - pretty much regular ceroba in terms of her personality, minus the devotion to completing her husband’s legacy part. in rswap, she’s probably the most important character in the underground that actively opposes his ideology. 🎀 - not completely shut off from the rest of the underground; she still interacts with those outside from time to time (in particular, a certain monster that comes to her door every once in a while). however, it’s still very rare to see her outside of the pleiades. 🎀 - her clothing is specifically tailored to her preferences (simplicity and versatility)! and since i HC that she has greek-inspired origins (but married into the ketsukane family), i decided to go for an ancient-greek vibe with her clothing

other details:

🐚 - they’re hugely musketeer-themed 🐚 - technically they aren’t an individual swap. rather, it’s a martlet + moray duo swap with sans and papyrus. in pacifist, moray’s role is closer to papyrus but there are a few elements from sans i incorporated into their personality 🐚 - martlet is basically a sibling to moray. however, her current behavior is raising some concerns. moray feels like she’s hiding something. 🐚 - they’re the one that talks to ceroba at the gate! though they’ve never properly met before, there’s a certain level of trust between the two that no other dynamic really has 🐚 - they still love music. has a guitar somewhere and knows how to play it too. aside from that they’re also quite interested in architecture
