A Determined Red Geranium
Yeehawgust Day 15 (late) - Desert Rose
[IMG ID A mixed media painting, mostly watercolor-ink, of a red geranium plant growing out of a patch of dry desert soil next to some broken bits of a former beer bottle. In the background is a rusted metal wall. / END IMG ID.]
I honestly do not know if a geranium would be able to survive a very dry environment with poor soil and no care, but maybe some of the seeds for the things on Project SEEDS were genetically-enhanced. I like to think that some of Rem's seeds and cuttings might have survived the Big Fall and just sprout up in random places.

This Took me all week To make and then episode 12 dropped and I had to make an alternative image. So now there two images of Vash! I was extremely thoughtful on which flower to use based on there meanings. Obviously the red flowers are Red Geraniums, Yellow Tulips for his smile, Willow Leaves cause he’s sad. Holly for his strength and Larkspur for his positivity and love. He’s Baby Girl and he deserves to be happy!
I didn’t shade lol

Plant of the Day
Friday 2 February 2024
The tuberous perennial Pelargonium 'Ardens' (species geranium) originated in the Nineteenth Century as a hybrid between Pelargonium lobatum x Pelargonium fulgidum. It flowers in the spring and early summer on tall stems, after which it becomes semi-dormant, shedding its silvery-green leaves when minimal watering is required to prevent dehydration.
