From my experience my first few weeks of uni were filled with lots of ups and lots of downs, swings and roundabouts if you will. It's all the exciting meeting new people! going to new places! aaa! as well as the terrifying, oh god oh no, new people, new places.

As someone in my final year rn me and my housemates (who I have been friends with since first year!) Keep watching all the freshers and reminiscing on all these very exciting, scary, buzzing feelings you go through and how completely unique they are to that freshers experience. So you've got to embrace the scariness a little bit and remember everyone there, even if they look really confident, are definitely feeling the exact same way.

I recommend throwing yourself into things, saying yes when you can (and no! when it's needed). Meeting people, no matter how you do it, is really gonna help you feel less like you're going through it alone, cause you'll get talking and go "oh so we're all terrified, oh so you haven't remembered anyone's names either, sick". That being said don't be too scared if you don't meet your best buddies immediately, it all ebbs and flows, you'll find them eventually <3

But all in all, yes, with my whole heart and soul, yes things get better and you're gonna be ok <333
