Yes, I am trying out Diablo 4 Open Beta this weekend. No, I'm not sure if I can reach the end, because there is just so much stupid stuff in the way of that. But I will try. But regardless of the outcome, the current effects are clear as day already - I am goddamn suffering under this grimdark bullcrap D4 is throwing on me. I need some palate cleansers, man. I don't actually have a reason for Rathma's horn to be broken. The missing eye, yes. The shredded ear, when I remember it, yup.

The horn used to have a reason, but then I changed my fic around.

A quick perusal of my own sketches has not been conclusive. I guess he busts it before losing the eye, cuz well.

Crispy.

I think it might be something dumb tbh. The eye is a big plot point, but the horn might turn out to be just. Cracking it on a very sturdy door frame or something.

Five years of That First Spark

That’s right, ladies and gentlemen, the good guys has gone through so much shit up to this point that they earned an entire stained window  composition in a church somewhere on Sanctuary. XD Trust me bro, it’s canon. ;)

Joke’s aside, welcome new and old readers, and thank you so much for giving this story a chance, whether it was a few weeks or years ago! Thank you so much for your patience with the sometimes rough update schedules. Thank you so much for spending your time to read the new chapters. Five years is a damn long time and I’d have never guessed I would actually reach this point. I don’t want to draw out this post, but honestly I can hardly wrap my head around this whole road. It’s incredible. And a very hefty chunk of this achievement is due to the readers who showed support in some way.

In the name of the entire TFS cast, thank all of you so much! :) Onwards to bigger better things! In the end

Hearing things

Mind, every nephalem was a little bit different, but most had the basics; ears, eyes, mouth, nose, and something to sense vibrations with.

Rathma is pretty typical. Ears for low audio, auricles for high audio. He can use them for fuzzy echolocation, hear resonance, feel vibrations in the air, and pick up the sub-communications some nephalem would use.

They're pretty sensitive too. Touching the auricles isn't exactly painful, in the way getting poked in the ear isn't, but it's not great either. Noisy angels can cause discomfort.

Like most things Nephalem, the auricles are a blend of demonic horns, and angelic sensors.
