I just remembered Maymay June, which was the funniest thing to come out of reddit. Basically, the mods of /r/atheism decided to ban meme posts. Sort of. You could still post memes in text posts, but text posts give you no karma, so the idea was that people would only post memes if they were super duper important instead of just posting shit that would get easy karma. Of course the pockmarked teens of /r/atheism reacted reasonably.
Just kidding, they did this:
To me, though, the highlight of the freakout was quotes like, "If this subreddit is not open and free, then I honestly don't see the point. Socrates died for this shit and we're taking it too lightly." Yes, Timothy, Socrates sacrificed himself for passing along pictures of space with smug captions in Impact about how much smarter you are than Christians and Muslims.
You don't even need to come up with jokes to make fun of them because they do a better job of it than any of us ever could.
