Last Song You Listened To: Jacaré by Sofi Tukker. I’ve been listening to this track and Jain’s Makeba a lot. Other than that, I’ve been listening to a lot of songs with scifi vibes, which isn’t super helpful for working on my canon-era MDZS fic for the Reverse Big Bang.

Currently Watching: Star Trek: The Original Series. I watched the AOS movies recently and fell down the Spirk rabbit hole. I’m loving the ethical and existential questions that the original series poses. They really tell such compelling stories with duct tape and tissue paper shirts.

Currently Reading: Mostly Star Trek fanfics, but I started Tillie Walden’s graphic novel On a Sunbeam at the recommendation of a friend. And I’m planning to read volumes 2-4 of Doughnuts Under a Crescent Moon later this week. I’ve been reading a lot of manga this year, but I did recently read David Levithan’s new middle grade title Answers in the Pages in one sitting, so I recommend it if you’re into intertwined stories and hate censorship.

Current Obsession: Spirk. The original space gays have me in their grip. I made a new sideblog @startrek-sos. I don’t think I’m escaping this one. I’ve already ordered a Starfleet enamel pin for myself and done some limited palette art on @raine-hearts-art.

I had this very weird period last summer during which I went on walk around the village I used to live in while listening to music. That in itself isn't weird, but I did that while listening to Little Nightmares 1 & 2 music. And it was so weird because I was so very relaxed, too- like, you'd think that taking a walk in a near-empty village while listening to horror game music would be uncomfortable, right? But no. I was just. Relaxed. With my earbuds. Slowly walking down the streets. Seeing slugs and other grass animals and bugs on the side of the road. Would recommend. Has its eerie moments (like the one time I found a dead bird- the music definitely enhances the experience lmao) but overall has to be the habit I was the saddest to lose after moving away for uni.

I love how it only took me like a month to get used to city life (I come from a very very small town) like a month ago I would be scared to talk to anyone ever and yesterday I was walking home at like 10PM in the dark and some guy came to me like hey want some drugs and I genuinely just went nah man sorry I don't smoke cheers and kept walking
