[image ID: a loose, colored-marker sketch of a few scenes from R.W.F's Querelle, each contained in its own rectangular panel. at centre-right, a seated Querelle looks up and rightwards at Seblon, who stands by him in profile. at top-left, Querelle is wrapped around Seblon. his back is turned to the viewer. Seblon's face is visible over Querelle's right shoulder. at bottom-left, Mario and Querelle stand facing one another. only their pelvises are in frame. Mario, on the left, holds his gun. the sketch is done in blocks of three colors: turquoise, pink and purple, with highlights left white and deep shadows blocked in purple, the darkest tone of the three.
the remaining space outside the three panels is left blank save for text. the top-right panel reads "Querelle" in block capital letters. the bottom-right panel reads "Rainer Werner Fassbinder", in block letters, with one word per line. /.End ID]

I feel like a self-respecting homosexual would have chosen Brest over La Rochelle. There's Querelle de Brest by Jean Genet, for example, which was turned into a movie by Fassbinder in 1982. Well, maybe in ten years when I return to France or whatever.
I'll just pretend I'm in Brest. I think it's a straight bar, but there's a bar called Les Mauvais Garçons (the bad boys) here.
