if you subscribe to Disney+, now is the time to go onto your account and write a strongly worded message about saving Willow and supporting the WGA strike!

If you haven't heard, Disney+ is removing dozens of shows/films from its platform, leaving no legal way to stream them. Check the whole list here. However, Howard (2022) was taken off the list of removals after backlash, and fans can do the same for Willow.

Instructions: go to the Disney+ home page, the upper-right side with your profile image, and click on Help. You'll be able to scroll until you see "Give Feedback". This pop-up form as shown in the image above should show up. Write what you feel in the box! while we discourage harassment, please feel to write how much Willow/The Mysterious Benedict Society/other removed shows mean to you, how much the queer rep means, etc! Emphasize that you would strongly consider cancelling your subscription if the removal is finalized.

A sample script, feel free to copy/paste and customize:

"I support the WGA strike and hope Disney and the AMPTP will make a fair deal soon that properly addresses concerns such as mini-rooms. I'm additionally concerned that streaming libraries are removing content so quickly and leaving no legal way to watch shows like Willow. You got a pirate au? A tattoo parlor au? A vampire/werewolf au? A collage au? A road trip au?

You got a journey home idea? You got a Jade grows up a Bone Reaver au? You got a Kit actually runs away au.

We create for this fandom. We don't let it die. We don't let Disney take out happiness.

Am I sad we won't get to see these characters on screen again? Of course, I'm fucking heartbroken over that.

But Disney doesn't get to take away our stories.

Disney doesn't get to take away our lesbian princess.

Disney doesn't get to take away the rep for little brown/black kids finally seeing themselves in a good light.

Our stories are worth telling and yes it's tiring having to fight tooth and nail to get them told.

But I'm not going to stop creating for this fandom because I love this fandom and I love these characters.

I'm going to keep giving Nina ideas for fics even when she yells at me for it because she's got too many fic ideas to write as it is.

I'm going to keep loving these characters.

Because it took nearly 30 years to see myself represented in a Disney production.

I've been thinking about Willow again, this time about the costume choices for the royal families

The Hastur family all wear more stereotypical jewel encrusted crowns (idk if there's a name for that style of crown), while in the Tanthalos family, Sorsha is the only one who wears a crown, and hers is a relatively simple circlet style. Zivian Hastur's ornate crown fits his arrogance, while Sorsha seems less arrogant, and it's reflected in her crown.

The Tanthalos twins not wearing crowns feels right, even though the crowns were just for the feast. A crown would get in the way of Kit's sword fighting and riding, and Airks womanizing. Graydon's crown doesn't really fit his personality, so I'm assuming his father is the one who decided that Graydon would wear a crown.

Side note: someone please get all these kids therapy, they desperately need it Side side note: aww Graydon and Zivian's crowns are so similar, there's nothing like father-son matching crowns to make up for a toxic family life, am I right?

On the topic of headpieces, the only other characters wearing a headpiece are the Galladorn women flirting with Airk at the feast. They aren't wearing crowns, but their ornate headpieces make me think they are related to the Hastur family somehow. Maybe distant cousins of Graydon? Not important enough to sit at the high table, but important enough to sit next to the prince of Tir Asleen
