Today we celebrate Vaisakhi (the spring harvest festival) across all parts of India and the birth centenary of the great Ustad Ali Akbar Khansaheb. What better day than today, to announce the upcoming launch of my Tabla solo album called "TAALEEM"... This beautiful word is connected with the process of #learning and #practice and is significant especially in this month of April and May which features the birth anniversary of so many great musicians, who devoted their life to spreading their great #knowledge of Indian Classical Music to Indian and Foreign audiences. It is Ustad Alla Rakha's (Abbaji) birth anniversary on 29th April and my birthday on 8 May and hence we will be releasing TAALEEM, a 60 minute full length classical album on 6th May 2022. Running up to ALBUM LAUNCH on 6 May, I will release short concert clips on every friday at 1pm IST, highlighting the different aspects of the #PunjabGharana of Tabla , which constitute my dedicated TAALEEM, #saadhana and lifelong #riyaaz.
