#jirachi #as i'm queuing this up. i'm sorta. realizing that deoxys has four forms. and i'm wondering what to do about that #like. do i just choose normal form and go with that?? or do i do every single form?? or do all the forms in one post?? or what #this isn't about jirachi. i like jirachi and i think those theories about how bidoof actually caused all of pmd sky are pretty funny #and like. also weirdly reasonable. but i dunno if jirachi is the type to be like a genie. where when you make a wish he's like #o0o0o0o but there's a caAaAaAaAtch……… #i don't think. that's something jirachi does? so it's even funnier then bc it's like jirachi did that on TOTAL accident. but i find that #hard to believe. folks say it's like… he did that so that he could get bidoof some friends Naturally or whatever but i just don't feel like #he'd be the type. but maybe that's why he ends up in the expedition society later on. he felt so bad about ending the world just to help out #a rookie who wanted some friends that he dedicated himself to saving the world instead. which. is kinda sweet. and the whole reason i've #been he/him-ing him this whole time. bc that's what they do in psmd. where his boss battle theme is just a whole banger for no reason #anyway those are some fun theories. i have to figure out what to do for jirachi and also put some chicken in the slow cooker

tbh. kinda wanna not involve my hero and partners in ttb anymore

#bwark #augh it feels too fanservicey ya know? #that's what the psmd cameos get accused of being even though the only one that's plot relevant is jirachi #i want ttb to have an identity outside of the official stuff #my heroes and partners will still have a legacy. like mega evolution research will still be credited to team fable and dungeon research for #espeon and umbreon. and i'll still keep some relations to canon like neoma being a decendant of rt ninetales #or marcel being the grandon of explorers bidoof (paternal side) and psmd krookodile (maternal side) because i think it's sweet and also both #of his grandfathers contributed to two different apocalypses #the only thing holding me back a bit on this is that dustin is relevant to dexter's deal. but so are ninetales hydreigon and xerneas so #maybe i can find a workaround #i'll just have to rebrand treasure town and wigglytuff's guild #it's a little sad because i was hoping to involve paradise in some way #i feel like it would've fit really well with ttb's themes. maybe there's multiple paradises now or smth

hoopa is so unfortunate because despite being connected to oras and masters, there isnt a ton of content where it’s actually there and relevant besides the hoopa movie, which is considered the worst pokemon movie and kinda does hoopa dirty anyways by giving it a bad storyline and making it a frustrating character

#like. ive seen people make it the celebi to palkia sometimes #which i feel like really shows the difference between the old mythicals and new ones #despite basically having the same amount of potential celebi has been a consistent part of the anime for a while #got a chronicles ep and a hoenn special and roles in two other movies besides its own (kinda) #while hoopa hasnt shown up in anything besides the movie and in psmd where hes optional #and i mean yeah part of that is just that hoopa is newer while celebis been around since basically the beginning #but like... youd think hoopa would have gotten SOMETHING else by now #something a bit more memorable #echoed voice #idk i feel like the gens 1-4 and kinda 5 mythicals mean something. they feel like mythicals they feel distinct #you cannot deny the vibes that the lunar duo or lake trio have or deoxys or jirachi #but somethings just. off about the ones after gen 5 #and this is coming from someone who loves diancie and does kinda like magearna btw #i dont hate any of these pokemon and i get why a couple of them are mythicals but it also feels unearned and strange #like... what exactly makes zeraora a mythical? endangerment? does that make lapras and farfetch'd mythicals too? #even in the anime theyre just like ''idk its kinda rare'' #same with zarude. how is zarude a mythical. even in its movie its just a general species really #with marshadow they try and force a connection to ho oh but it just doesnt really make sense or work and its kinda odd in hindsight #bc i dont think anyone actually considered it a ho oh related pokemon especially since ho oh already has the dogs #really feels like most of the mythicals now are just made to fill that movie quota #which is just odd to me even now bc shiny celebi was only in the zarude movie for two seconds and it still got merch and distributions #so really just. reuse the legendaries lol #better yet start teasing the next gen again with normal pokemon like lucario and zoroark #those are classics and fan favorites to this day and i cannot figure out why they stopped besides the crunch now

i think the two parts of PSMD would feel less disjointed if all the school kids showed up along with espurr after hero and partner return from the voidlands.

like instead of ampharos/celebi/jirachi helping hero and partner get to the tree of life and defeat dark matter, it's just the serene village kids working together to do all that.

what makes PSMD unique is the whole "childhood dreams vs adult realities" deal and leaning harder into that aspect with the finale would make the story a bit more thematically coherent

screw it, im dumping some more psmd headcanons (mainly members of the Expedition Society cuz i love them)

SPOILER FOR ALL OF PSMD BELOW

- Bunnelby is secretly a bookworm, and by far the oldest in terms of age in the Society. He wears glasses, too. (the very thick ones)

- Ampharos and Mawile occasionally bicker like a married couple, which leads to others assuming they are (they are not. Mawiles a lesbian.)

EDIT: nvm they are too cute not to ship

- Nuzleaf, Carracosta and Espurr make contact with Archen every few nights for updates on Hero and Partner. Some other residents of Serene Village occasionally join in. Hero Partner never learn about this.

- Swirlix consumes whatever the alcohol equivalent in pokemon is. She also has a friend group outside the society where they would talk and critique about food.

- Buizel was actually a member of Wigglytuffs guild at some point, before he left due to him wanting to be closer to home (which was at the Water Continent). He and Jirachi were among the first members to join the Expedition Society.

- Jirachi here is the same as the one Bidoof met. He left simply bcz he was bored.

- Despite being a massive klutz, Ampharos has surprisingly great balance and sturdiness. You cannot knock that mon down.

- Mew was properly integrated into the Expedition Society after the post-game events, properly completing Hero and Partners team. They basically act like the little sibling of the grio, while simutaneously being the toughest among them.

- Dedenne is basically the mom friend of the society, making sure she keeps things in order. She likes to hang out at the cafe after work is done.

- Hero and Partner would occasionally ask other members of the Society about their adventures from time to time, with Archen, Ampharos and Buizel sharing their stories the most.

- Whilw Archen can't fly, that doesn't mean he won't try. Archen had been decommissioned several times in his quest to learn how to fly (should probably mention that this happens less frequently after hero partners arrival, being worried and all). He can be very stubborn.

- While Buizel is the tough guy (i think thats the correct term) of the society, he's actually quite nervous in social situations, like big groups and formal parties. As such, he does not talk much during these events.

New Ref Sheet to my Best OC ever ❤❤❤ I made Diana way back in 2021 because I just felt inspired to do an Ampharos OC, because it's my favourite pokemon!

I wanted her to have a more casual and sweet design, as that has been a sort of fashion I've been really into as of late honestly. She's actually wearing exactly what I am right now!!! (Except for the chainsaw man shirt) I definitely improved a lot with anatomy and breasts. It's really hard to get it right. I had to spend so long staring at the mirror just studying like, the length of a ribcage and waist and stuff. It took me a while to get it just right like this, but finally an art that my anatomy is accurate! I am planning to make an OC of each of the Expedition Society Member (Most actually). I already have Diana as Ampharos, and Selina as Floatzel (Buizel). Now I just have Jirachi, Archen and Mawile left. I'll also throw in an Espurr, because Espurr is one of my favourite pokemon, and I love her so much in PSMD you have no idea! So look forward to those awesome designs!
