Time for the long overdue part 2 Best ways to help prevent your scalp is by wearing hats or scarfs, limiting exposure and/or using scalp sunscreen. My favorite and go to scalp sunscreen is the @coola Scalp & Hair Mist Organic Sunscreen SPF 30. It is super lightweight, nourishing, protecting, and vegan. I spray it on the scalp and hair and and brush my hair to ensure it is evenly distributed. Before styling (which lately mean pulling it up in a bun) I allow it to dry for a bit. It does not weight down my hair or leave it feeling greasy and it leaves my hair smelling good. Ok. I am going to be a bit honest here. I have literally not a clue what I am doing. Am I even "blogging"? Not a clue. I'm not one of those.... over 50's that don't really grasp technology. In fact, being the ripe age of 39 and having grown up with out smart phones + to be the last generation without social media growing up- I can at least say with a high degree of certainty- I can figure this whole blogging thing out. Right?

I came on here because - I felt I could freely post pictures and my thoughts. And maybe see if there was anyone else out there doing the same thing. Do I give myself an introduction? Does one one introduce themselves to a blog? Or ... does the reader of said blog (if I can get one LOL) kind of make their own thoughts on my blog persona.

Clearly, I'm new here. Any and ALL advice would be greatly appreciated. I have various social networks, however I'm not sure I'm ready to connect those two worlds just yet! Cannot wait to see what my Tumblr life brings.

Day 251 of 365 September has been quite a month … 😖😖. Life has been topsy turvy and it will be a while before things settle down. On the flip side I’m a few weeks away from another education milestone. (will share more another time). In the meantime let me ask you this do you use hair and scalp sunscreen? I’m sure most said no or most said during beach vacays only. Up until a few years ago I did not use scalp and hair sunscreen, then started using it on beach vacays only. I think that was because I never found one I liked for daily use. We do a lot to protect our skin but forget the scalp. Hair or no hair your scalp can be damaged by UV rays and get sun burned as well. That damage can put you at risk for melanoma and it can negatively effect on the hair follicles. Best ways to help prevent that is wearing hats or scarfs, limiting exposure and/or using scalp sunscreen. In part 2 of the post I will bring to you my fav hair and scalp sunscreen.
