i just don't think michonne has ever met the version of her husband that rick currently is tbh, like. she's seen him broken in the wake of the whole negan thing, of course, but 8+ years in captivity and being told he will never, ever, ever see his family and friends again even after mutilating himself has this man demoralized. i kind of said it in the tags before on someone else's post but rick in the last twenty minutes of gone is the most like himself that he's been since the series started and i just don't think that, in all her wild imaginings of finding this man, the love of her life.... i don't think she ever imagined that he'd be...like. different. you know? i think the only options she allowed herself to consider were "he's alive and he's being held captive and i'm going to find him and we're going to fight and even if it's not okay everything will be okay" but i just do not think she ever considered. my husband will be a prisoner and he will carry a prisoner's trauma and even when i find him there will still be a noose around his neck and i'm just, like. i don't know. god it makes me crazy. maybe i'm talking out of my ass and i'm completely wrong. we'll see more as the story unfolds but i just love the idea of the euphoria of finding him needing to make space in order to coexist with the fact that the person she found, while still inherently her man, is also virtually a stranger. very sexy if true

now. you know. i'm very team buddie. i have been for years and i don't see that changing until we get to the very last second of the very last 911 episode with no canon buddie in sight.

having said that.

y'all have got to get comfortable with the idea of buddie not happening the way you want it to. and like, i get it. it's been years for a lot of us. most of us. we have headcanons, we have fic, we have very specific ideas for how we want them to get together. but you have to understand the reality is not going to be like that. and when i say "get comfortable with the idea of it not happening the way you want" i don't mean, like, "okay yeah it might not happen in a moment of crisis, but it'll definitely happen in the kitchen!" i mean, they might not actually get together until the last ever episode. they might not actually get together at all. they might not actually get together until buck has bisexually fucked his way through half of los angeles. we don't know. and because we don't know, we have to get comfortable with all of it. because otherwise, a lot of you are going to end up very fucking miserable for years to come and not only do i not want that for you, i ALSO don't want that for me. because your energy becomes MY energy when you pour it in MY askbox.

so.

just a thought.

become comfortable with being uncomfortable. don't lower your expectations but. allow other possibilities to take root.

we already know michonne is going to find her own group of people after she leaves alexandria/commonwealth so i can't stop thinking about her meeting up with a party and listening to stories about the crm, learning everything there is to know about the military, about okafor, about "that mean sonuvabitch he keeps at his side. heard he's the most ruthless motherfucker crm's ever pulled in" not knowing they're talking about her own fucking husband. and i'm just... thinking about all the delicious potential there. thinking about the stories she must have heard about the havoc crm has wreaked and her own (natural!) flickers of uncertainty as to whether the man who was ripped from her is going to be the man that she finds. and thinking about her righteous, obliterating fury once the shock passes, and she finds him strapped to all hell in tac gear and guns like all her worst nightmares come true.

IDK IDK IDKKKKKKKK !!!!!! i just think there's just something so outrageously Sexy about the fragile thread of hope she's clung to this entire time being stronger when they were apart than it is the first time they meet, and the way it must crumble right before her very eyes when she sees that all the rumors are true (they aren't, of course, but she doesn't know that). and, of course, by "outrageously Sexy" i most certainly mean Agonizing and Completely Devastating.

I don't know how this season is going to go, obviously, but the way I see it is:

Season 1: Rick and Michonne reconnect and take down/change CRM from the inside.

Season 2: THEY GO BACK HOME 😭 I NEED TO SEE RICK REUNITE WITH HIS KIDS 😭😭 I NEED TO SEE RICK MEET RJ 😭😭😭 I NEED TO SEE RICK AND DARYL CROSS PATHS AT SOME FUCKING POINT AND HUG AGAIN 😭😭😭😭😭

Sorry, but why was ryan in pr jail? I'm aware of the one big controversy, so is it related to that? Or did something else happen. Totally cool if this is connected to drama you don't wanna get into and you delete this ask. I just keep seeing pr jail referenced and I don't look at behind the scenes stuff enough to know what happened.

Hi. Nah, it's fine. You're good. Long story short, we don't actually know why Ryan was in PR jail. A lot of people speculated it's because of nword-gate, and maybe that had something to do with it, but I think FOX really just wanted their favorite white boy (no offense to Oliver, of course) to be the "face" of 911. Everyone else (speaking of actors, not their characters) has been consistently sidelined in favor of giving Oliver the primary interviews/post-mortems, and something like that does "just happen." I'm looking forward to (and hoping for) more balance with ABC because I love Oliver but I would kill to hear from literally anyone else.
