Today as a special treat we’ve been enjoying tasting, blending, making and learning all about the gin process at The Kitchen @chewtonglen with @pothecarygin - All very exciting stuff when you hear in the news that sales have doubled in two years with popularity of the tipple peaking in March in the run up to Mother's Day, suggesting its popularity as a gift. Had a fab time at the @thesherbornemarket yesterday. It was great to see the guys from @viper_gin (who's garden I might be assisting with) and beautiful pottery from @ckgceramics. We found an unusual slow gin by @pothecarygin, met a friend from the chamber choir assisting his son on this amazing fungi stall and finished up with a vodka cocktail made for us by the chaps at @shantyspirit. Our Pothecary Gin Sicilian Blend is advent window XIV, initially a limited-edition gin but adopted to the core range by popular demand. Originally only 982 bottles were released, now this is our second most popular product in our range of gins. Made with organic Sicilian Orange peel, Sicilian Lemon peel, and roasted Sicilian Almonds, along with Serbian Juniper and French, wild-foraged Gentian root. It also features the Sicilian flag graphic on the label (which looks a little bit like the Isle of Man Three-legged depiction). Tasting notes from Master of Malt Refined juniper and subtle nuttiness from the almond – almost a little bit toasted at points.
