Titanic: Never Let Me Ed Chapter 1
And here is the first chapter of @nintendogal55 and I’s crossover of Ed, Edd n Eddy, and Titanic, Never Let Me Ed! We’re so excited to publish this story to Tumblr! We’ve been working feverishly for months on story notes, and thinking up new ideas!
Victoria is actually a femme version of Eddy’s Brother!
We are each individually writing chapters! This is my chapter and then the next chapter to come will be written by @nintendogal55  We hope you enjoy this story!
The docks of Southampton were crowded to the brim as people basked over the gorgeous ship standing tall, like a giant, in the Atlantic Ocean. Its fresh coat of paint gleamed in the sun. Yes, today was sailing day. Titanic was ready for its maiden voyage to make history.
Stepping out of the carriage, Eddward Vincent-Blake stared up at the glorious ship, studying its features. Over eight hundred feet in length, enough to hold over two thousand passengers, and even equipped with three engines. He felt more than lucky to sail back home onboard the grandest ship of all.
“Eddward!” Snapped a woman’s voice. “Be a gentleman and help me out of the carriage!”
Frowning, Edd immediately obeyed. “Yes, Victoria, coming right away!”
“Pull your head out of the clouds, Eddward!” His mother ordered as his father assisted in helping her out from the carriage. And then his father was next to shoot him an icy stare, making Edd dip his head in shame.
“Seize this drifting into your ridiculous fantasies, Eddward! Focus!” He whispered sharply, tapping a rough finger against his chest.
“Yes, Father,” Edd nodded timidly.
Opening the car door, an immense woman, covered in this long red gown, and jewelry dangling from her wrists, neck, and ears, a large sun hat on her head shielding her from any light. Her eyes were an immense hazel-grey which startled Edd whenever he looked at her. Victoria’s stare was so hulking that it resembled Medusa’s evil stare moments before turning her victims into stone.
Nobody would ever think to see a woman like Victoria out on the streets. She hovered over Edd, who was tall himself. This secret could not escape his mouth, but it was very easy to mistake Victoria for a man. Her voice was deep, but rich, one of the only giveaways that she was indeed a woman.
Smiling timidly, Edd presented the grand Titanic to his family. “Isn’t it absolutely beautiful? Headliners have named Titanic ‘The ship of dreams!’”
Victoria only sneered, as did his parents. “‘Ship of dreams’, you say? I was expecting more!”
Feeling a sting in his heart, Edd couldn’t let her negative words get him down. After all, they were going home! Their time in England had been a wonderful experience, exploring the cities. It was Victoria’s home. She had insisted that Edd come and meet her mother. Her father had passed on some time ago. Upon glancing at old photos, Edd could immediately tell who Victoria resembled most.
And his parents came along, too. The trip could have been more memorable if his parents wanted to spend a day with him. Edd couldn’t remember the last occasion where they spent time together. Or even spoke.
Putting those thoughts aside, Edd couldn’t wait for their return to America. He’d start his studies in school and go about on adventures of his own.
“Rudy, here, take my bag for me!” Victoria commanded practically dropping her large bag onto the small man. Struggling, Rudy groaned and sneered at the woman from behinds. His tired expression made Edd laugh quietly behind his hand. This was Victoria’s newest help. All the rest she had fired for unreasonable excuses. Only one quit. And boy did they regret that.
As the family walked towards the gangplank, Edd felt an arm wrap around him.
Victoria smiled down at him. “Let’s be the first, darling.”
She had a pretty good grip on him. There was no escape. Glancing over his shoulder, his mother and father were happily whispering to one another.
“Try to keep up. Don’t scrape those shoes,” Victoria nagged.
They were boarding Titanic. Titanic!
Meanwhile, over at a small local pub, close to the docks of the famous ship about to set sail, a card game was in battle. Blocking out all the shouting from the excited crowds, Eddy concentrated. The tickets for Titanic sat in the middle of the table.
Removing his cigarette, and blowing a puff of smoke, Eddy did not bat an eye in disgust. Scowling a horrid smile, their competitor chuckled, “Scared?”
“Of what? People running away from your dentures?”
Clearly insulted, the man chugged his beer. His friend immediately stopped chuckling when the other gave a threatening look.
“Focus, Olaf!” He ordered.
Just then, Ed leaned into Eddy. Eddy recoiled a bit, not liking the close proximity. Especially Ed’s terrible odor. “Eddy?”
“Yeah, Ed?”
“Are you sure we can do this?” he quietly asked, blocking his nervous demeanor behind a small deck of cards.
Smiling, Eddy gave his friend a pat on the back. “Don’t worry, Ed! We got this!”
“But we’re betting against nothing but our only quarter we have left!”
That quarter sat on the table, resting peacefully, shimmering Eddy’s reflection. Eddy stiffened, averted his gaze, saving himself before a familiar reflection would make him slip up his calm demeanor. No, not now. He had to get out of England. Eddy had to escape back to America.
A crowd of spectators in the pub were watching the game at hand, whispering to one another. Eddy didn’t mind as he rested the cigarette on the other side of his mouth. Smirking, he looked up at their competitors.
“You wasted your bet!” He laughed along with his buddy.
Ed gasped. Not due to being scared, but instead of the four aces Eddy proudly laid out on the table! “Wanna rethink that?”
“Yeah! We’re going to America!” Ed cheered giving Eddy a playful nudge.
“For once in our stinkin’ lives, we’ve hit the prime!” Eddy waved his fist in glory. That was when the man, known as Sven, grabbed him by his shirt collar. Going to throw a punch, Eddy flinched. His started heart raced, immediately sweating.
Instead, he socked his pal, Olaf, in the jaw cussing at him in his foreign language.
Eddy swiped the tickets off the table before anything could happen to them. And even his lucky quarter.
“We’re off to America, Ed! We’re ridin’ in high style, baby! On the TITANIC!”
“Hey, you two,” the bartender caught their attention. He then pointed towards the clock on the wall. “Better get moving! Titanic leaves in about five minutes!”
Eddy wallopped himself in the head, hauling the only bag he owned onto his back. “Shit, Ed! We gotta motor if we're gonna make it!”
“Vroom, vroom, Eddy!” And Ed scooped his best friend onto his shoulders, raced out the door, and ran through the sea of people crowding every inch of the docks. A gigantic smile stretched across Eddy’s face. He could even feel tears threatening. No, no tears! He did not dare to even look back. Even this was too good to be true!
“Hurry, Ed, hurry!”
Ed was like a horse, galloping along, huffing and puffing, jumping over a gateway and avoiding crowds of people.
Right when they approached the gates, Eddy leaped off Ed’s shoulders and ran up the gangplank with his ticket waving his hand. The doors were just about to close as the gangplank was just starting to roll away.
“Wait, hold on a sec, we’re passengers!” Eddy yelled, half in a panic.
The officer opened the door back up and looked at Ed and Eddy up and down with a smug look. Eddy had to agree that Ed’s pits wreaked, and his own clothes were not a site for sore eyes. They were the only clothes he had that didn’t belong to his brother.
“Have you been through the inspection queue?” The officer asked, lifting an eyebrow.
Ed’s lip frowned, but Eddy smiled giddily. “‘Course! We don’t have lice! We’re Americans!” Eddy happily presented himself to the officer.
The man sighed. Someone else caught his attention saying they needed to close up. “Alright, come on!”
Ed and Eddy hopped aboard into the grand ship. After their tickets were inspected, and even more odd looks, an officer showed them to their rooms. They followed down a bunch of hallways and passed other passengers. A lot of them didn’t speak English which was proving to be tough for the officers.
Once they got to their room, it was miniscule with two bunk beds, and dirt covering the floor. Two men already occupied the room. One had blue hair, and the other was bald, carrying a hunk of wood with a face on it The two men looked them up and down in a bizarre manner, and then at each other.
Eddy friendly tipped his invisible hat to them. “Top of the mornin’!”
“And all the gravy and chickens!” Ed added, following suit.
As he and Ed turned their backs, the man with blue hair mumbled something to the other. The name ‘Sven’ was heard. Snickering smuggling to himself, Eddy was prepared for the trip of a lifetime.
Pulling out the beautiful painting of the talented Claude Monet, Edd studied the walls in his own bedroom. Their stateroom was enormous. It more resembled a hotel. A hotel sailing on the ocean. The maid and butlers and other servants were busy fixing up the room, and even pouring champagne in glasses.
A porter wheeled the last of the Vincent-Blake’s belongings into their stateroom. Of which was Edd’s vault.
Quickly taking his safe into his room, Edd passed his parents who were making conversation with Victoria and laughing. Why did they find talking with her easier than him? Edd felt so relieved to not read a sticky note for at least a month. Even then, all their questions were asked through Victoria.
He placed his safe in his own room, on a desk. Soon he’d be in America, studying!
“Put the bags right in here, Rudy!” Victoria ordered walking right into Edd’s bedroom. Rudy immediately collapsed to the floor as soon as victoria’s bags were placed on the ground.
“Oh, stop huffing about, Rudy, there’s more!” Victoria ordered pointing out the door.
Edd jumped timidly, almost dropping the painting. “Oh, uh, a-are you sleeping in here?”
“Well, where else, Eddward?” Victoria answered as if it were a stupid question.
“There are three bedrooms,” Edd pointed out in the most respectful way possible.
And then Edd’s mother appeared in the room. “Don’t be silly, Eddward! There’s a room for me and one for your father!”
“Oh, but perhaps it would be more respectful if we slept in different beds for your sake?” Edd suggested his cheeks flushing. “Victoria could take this bedroom, and I myself could sleep on the couch.”
Victoria’s thick hands smoothed down Edd’s arms, sensuously. Edd jumped. A thick chin leaned against his shoulder. Victoria’s perfume was so strong that it made him cough. Whenever she did sleep with him, Edd could barely get his own rest without gagging from the smell.
Then Victoria frowned, staring at him disdainfully. “We’re inside, Eddward. Take your hat off.”
Edd’s heart fell into his throat. “I’d rather not!”
She scowled at him, emitting the groan of a dragon. But, she smiled once more, continuing to rub Edd’s arms with her long fingers. “Just think. When we crawl under the sheets tonight, we’ll still be the first.”
Edd’s parents kept smiling as Victoria prowled around Edd, wrapping her arms around his thick lanky shoulders. They were such a contrast to each other in physicality. That bothered Edd immensely. He couldn’t lift anything heavy unlike how Victoria could. She could lift a ship if she even had that power.
“The first and only. Forever,” she continued to whisper into his ear.
Wanting to tear himself lose, Edd just snuggled against her. “What do you mean, forever, Victoria?”
“Eddward,” his father started. “Your mother, Victoria and I have been in conversation.”
“What about, may I ask?” Edd asked nervously.
“When you return to America you’re not attending that university,” his mother stated with a smile.
Edd’s heart burst. “But... I have saved up my money-”
“And that amount of money is enough for an important item,” Victoria stated.
Edd craned his neck. The maids and even one porter still occupied the room. He noticed Rudy smirk. This was so embarrassing! A man who couldn’t even stand up for himself!
“How do you know the percentage of my own funds?” Edd asked.
Victoria laughed a beautiful, cruel noise. “Eddward, we have to know our funds if we’re going to spend the rest of our lives together!”
Edd stared at his parents hoping they wore the same shocked expressions. But, they were happy. This was not good! First, he was aboard the ship of dreams believing it to be his path to freedom.
Then Victoria pulled out a small, but a beautiful blue diamond ring.
“As you know, my father owned a jewelry store. Eddward, you saved my mother. My father left us in such debt after his passing. With your payment, my mother can live her life in peace because of your generous deed!”
Edd shook his head. “I didn’t buy that...”
“You most certainly did. It was a surprise...”
“But, my money-”
“Our money, Eddward!”
Edd felt the tears creep into his eyes. His mother made a noise of disgust. “No-No...”
A hand gripped his arm. “You have to, Eddward.” his father threatened.
“I was planning to attend school to become a scientist!” Edd fought. He knew he was powerless, but anything to help himself.
“Eddward,” his mother spoke with a sharp tongue. “Perhaps your marriage to Victoria will help you straighten things out.”
Edd’s heart ached knowing full well what she was talking about. It was only two years ago. The small, but very brief, period with... him. It wasn’t anything. The other man wasn’t even interested in him. Was anyone at all?
“I am who I am, mother,” Edd said to her, gritting his teeth. “I don’t want to marry Victoria!”
Victoria sighed as if it were no big deal. She cleaned off the blue diamond against her dress. “That’s alright, Eddward.”
“Is it?”
“Of course? After all, you can buy back the ring, and my mother won’t have anything, the poor woman. But, then where are you going to get your money, Eddward? If you were all alone in the world?” Victoria asked in a mocking tone. “It’s a lonely, cold, and gigantic world out there. Alone you'll become a worthless dog on the streets like one of those despicable third class!”
Edd’s inside steamed. His fists curled, but he released them. Control your temper. Hot tears boiled in his eyes. If he weren’t such a passive little lamb he would have left long ago to start his own life before his parents brought Victoria into his life. It was so unfair.
“What do you say, Eddward?” His father asked.
Victoria handed him the blue diamond ring. “Do it, please? I’ve always dreamed of a man getting down on one knee.”
Edd took it out of her hands and reluctantly did as he was told.
“Victoria Von-Bakewell?” he asked, his voice cracking.
“Yes, my darling?”
He stared up at her. “Will you be my bride?”
Victoria joined him on the ground, staring him into the eyes like a hawk. She cupped Edd’s cheek, her sharp nails digging into his face, most likely leaving red marks. And then she delivered a smothering kiss, enough to suffocate him. “With pleasure, Eddward Von-Bakewell.”
Ed and Eddy ran up the bow of the ship once the crowd finally dimmed off the deck. They were off! Titanic was sailing through the sea.
Leaning over the railing and looking at the ship breaking through the waves, their hair roared in the wind.
“We are the luckiest sons of bitches, Ed!” Eddy noted before howling like a dog.
This was what it was like. Freedom.
Eddy hopped onto the railings, standing tall and mighty as he stared out into the Atlantic Ocean. It was beautiful! It was years and years ago when he traveled from America to England. He had no idea he was sailing into the darkest period of his life. Now, hopefully, he was sailing into new and better dreams.
“I can see the Statue of Liberty already, Eddy!” Ed joked, pointing out to the sea.
“I’M THE KING OF THE WORLD!” Eddy bellowed out to the sea. He then spread his arms, mimicking a bird flying through the sky.
“YEE-HAW!” Ed cheered.
Barking and screaming out in their utmost excitement Titanic sailing on through the great waters going to make history.

Tell me all about that steampunk game! I love that style :)
nice!! i used to be big into steampunk but i never cosplayed in the style or did much other than watch steam boy (great movie) and listen to dr. steel, abney park and steam-powered giraffe
(putting this under a read more because holy fuck it’s long)
note: if you want to learn more, you can send specific asks about specific characters and i’ll try to answer them as best as i can
characters
1. Victor Porter, 21, cishet male | An airship soldier who has a prosthetic arm; is considered to be a hero by some, a heartthrob by others, but who believes that humans are top race and everyone else is beneath him. Says quite a few degrading/racist things about other races, which is including but not limited to xenophobia and microaggressions. He lost his arm at the age of 8 when a group of soldiers from another country came and murdered his parents, then targeted him and his sister. He was already bleeding heavily but he saw them about to hurt his sister so, with a punch of adrenaline, he lunged between the blade and his sister and thus had his arm cut off completely. He felt no pain due to the adrenaline, but then spent a week or two in the hospital recovering. He screamed quite a bit when he realized what had happened. He was later given a weak prosthetic arm with working fingers to be able to work in the city but was fired because the hand couldn’t properly grip things, so he spent most of his time reading about airships and piloting them. At the age of 16, he was given a golden prosthetic arm with working parts that made the fingers move so well and fluidly that it was a blessing; he put the arm to good use and cleaned it every night to keep it in good shape. He experienced ghost pains in his arm for the longest time which he thought were fixed with a few sips of alcohol in a secret carafe, and later he joins the army to protect his friends and family from outside forces.
2. Amelia Porter, 16, cishet female | Sister to Victor, Amelia is a young woman who loves fashion and sewing and creates her own clothes by thrifting old clothes. She works primarily with a large fashion company and models their clothes, most notably corsets and stockings. She rarely show much skin other than her arms, chest (cleavage) and legs (no higher than mid-thigh), and she is very child-friendly and polite to everyone she meets. While her brother is the dark, brooding type, she sees the good in everyone and everything and is very fascinated by the different races and cultures that mix in her home city. She is very small and petite, and although she remembers vividly her brother protecting her from soldiers, she refuses to let him keep a close eye on her, reassuring him that she’s a grown woman who doesn’t need a man to tell her what to do. She’s very independent and mature for her age, but prefers to act like a Disney princess. Like her brother, she can say some sort of racist things without realizing it but apologizes for being insensitive and wants to better herself and respect those she’s wronged. She really enjoys pastel and pink and “girly” things and is most always wearing a large skirt with a high bustle and corset with her hair in pigtails, braids or a bun.
3. Kit and Kat Enrora, 18, cishet male/female | Twin siblings who hail from a foreign land that moved to the main city in the sky to open a bakery under their family’s name of Enrora. They traveled by airship to arrive in the city only to face poverty at the prospect of being in a new land, and soon worked their way up to be able to open a bakery and sell their sweets. They are elves with long ears and markings to signify which lands they come from, and hold fast to the lore and legends of their hometown. They are skilled with herbs and incorporate them into their sweets to bring blessings upon those who purchase them. The female elf - Kit - embraces her elf heritage and dresses in garb from her hometown - primarily sheer skirts, soft-colored tops and gold jewelry to compliment her tanned skin and emerald green eyes. Her brother, Kat, has decided to build a new life for himself in the city and wears the garb of those that live there, which consists of slacks, spats and button-down shirts with vests. Despite their success so far in the city, they are looked down upon by most humans for being a different race and people believe they have an ulterior motive because of the way their menu is written in their native language and the language of the humans (similar to how white people are immediately suspicious of people wearing hijabs). The airship soldier, Victor, walks in one day and quickly falls for Kit based on her looks but is rude to her because of her elf heritage. Kit soon realizes he’s a dick and stands up for herself and her brother by kicking him out, and when he returns to apologize, she refuses to let him get away with a simple “I’m sorry” and gets him to face the truth that he’s an asshole.
4. Enoch Davies, 18, demisexual man| Enoch is a man of very few words, but very high intelligence. Born and raised on the city in the sky and living his life as a human, he is still underestimated due to his dark skin and stagnant silence. Enoch has had high marks in all his academic courses since elementary school, and yet people view him as little more than a “steam cleaner” because he repairs airships for the military and little else. He can be seen hanging around the bakery very often as he has a weak spot for the sweets sold their, and if properly asked, he will admit that he has a secret love of poetry; on rare occasions one can see shelves and shelves of journals in his office that he’s filled up over the course of a few months. He has dreads that reach the center of his back when let down, and wears them up in a bun while he’s working to keep them out of his face. Although his work for the army is a greatly appreciated task, he is still disregarded as a mere worker. However, when the army needs him most, he can easily calculate strategies and analyze data at lightning-fast speeds. When he speaks, his voice is gentle and soft and highly inquisitive.
5. Ewan Gilian, 20, poly agender person | A werewolf who’s spent most of his life collecting peculiar items, Ewan is a travelling merchant who brings his wares to far-off countries for a great price - and perhaps some juicy gossip as well. For the right price, Ewan will tell you how the people far away dance till the sun comes up, or how Miss Augustine down the road frequents the bar a little too often before she has to teach classes. Ewan also has a way with words, which has gotten him out of a few situations regarding the police, capitalism and the royal guard. Every so often, however, Ewan’s signature merchant’s carpet won’t be found at the marketplace, and by that logic, it is safe to assume that he’s either sick as a dog (*cough cough*) or just simply out having a nice date night with his partner(s).
*this is only a very short list of who i have set up. there’s also faun people and fairies and much much more in terms of npcs and characters.
i also have a concept for a religious faction to divide the town - those who believe in the Goddess of Steam and those who believe in the Goddess of Science.

Lake Eyasi
Lake Eyasi, located south of the Serengeti National Park and immediately southwest of the Ngorongoro Crater in the Crater Highlands area of Tanzania, is one of several lakes on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. The southwest flank of Ngorongoro Volcano drains into the northeast end of the lake. The lake is generally rectangular, except the indented southeast side, which appears to be shallower because sediment has filled in the shore. Most of the former shoreline can be identified by the colour change around the fairly steep embanked perimeter of the lake. Seasonal water level fluctuations in the lake are dramatic, perhaps indicating that Lake Eyasi is relatively shallow even during periods of maximum water The Bushman Tribe The Bushman (also known as the Wahadzabe tribe) still maintain their traditional hunter-gatherer way of life. A visit to the village will be led by a local guide who will describe their lifestyle. The Bushman will make fire from sticks and will show you their very few belongings. They will take you on a simulated hunt in the area with their bows and arrows, and visitors can try a little target practice. The visit concludes with a traditional singing and dancing. In the rainy season, they live in caves, and in the dry season, they live in the trees and bushes. Homes are marked by upright sticks in a semi-circle. Beds and floor mats are hides from kudu and impala.   The men hunt for wild animals and birds with bows and arrows. There are different arrows for different types of animals. Poisoned arrows are used for large animals. They also eat honey, tubers out of the ground, and fruits from the Baobab tree. In the dry season, they must dig down in the dry river bed to find water. Men and women socialize in very separate groups. Small children and babies stay with the women and boys of 7 and older group with the men. The Bushman are monogamous. The dowry to get married to a woman is 2 big baboons and many liters of honey. Men wear shorts and animal hides. Women wear colorful cloths wrapped around them. Jewelry is made from beads, porcupine quills, fur, and hide. Arrows and jewelry can be purchased from them with TZ shillings or traded (baseball hats, etc.). ‘Little heated’: Police had responded several times to LeSean McCoy’s home
‘Little heated’: Police had responded several times to LeSean McCoy’s home https://ift.tt/2mb2D3E ‘Little heated’: Police had responded several times to LeSean McCoy’s home
ATLANTA — Police responded to several nonviolent disputes at the home where Buffalo Bills star LeSean McCoy was attempting to evict his former girlfriend before an unidentified man bloodied the 34-year-old woman in a home invasion, according to reports released Thursday.
Police responded early Tuesday to the home in Milton, just outside Atlanta, after McCoy’s ex-girlfriend Delicia Cordon called 911. The reports from Milton police show that officers had previously been called to the home in July 2017 and in April and June of this year, but no violence was reported during any of those incidents.
In a recording released Thursday of Cordon’s 911 call she can be heard describing her alleged attacker to a dispatcher and saying she believed the attack was connected with her ex-boyfriend.
“My face is demolished right now,” Cordon said during the call.
A man entered the home around 3 a.m. Tuesday and demanded specific pieces of jewelry that McCoy had given to Cordon and that he had asked her to give back many times, Cordon’s lawyer Tanya Mitchell Graham said in an emailed statement Tuesday.

'THE DEVIL': Bills' McCoy accused of brutally beating girlfriend
McCoy had often suggested to Cordon that she “could be robbed because the jewelry was expensive,” the statement said.
The man tried to take bracelets from her wrist, leaving bruises, and hit her in the face multiple times with a gun, the lawyer said. Cordon’s cousin was also hurt when she was hit in the back of the head.
“He just kept asking for jewelry. I think it’s got something to do with my ex-boyfriend because my ex-boyfriend and I are,” Cordon said before being cut off by the dispatcher asking if she needed medical help.
McCoy, who turned 30 on Thursday, is preparing to enter his fourth season with the Bills. He spent his first six seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he led the NFL in yards rushing in 2013 before being traded to Buffalo in 2015.

He took to social media Tuesday to deny a wide range of allegations posted earlier in the day by a woman who appeared to be friends with Cordon, accusing him of hurting his former girlfriend. McCoy has since hired prominent Atlanta criminal defence attorney Don Samuel.
Fulton County Magistrate Court records show that McCoy initiated eviction proceedings against Cordon on July 3, 2017, saying that the pair were no longer in a relationship. Court records show two attempts to serve Cordon with the document but no other action.
That evening, police responded to a report of a domestic dispute at the home, according to a police report. Cordon wasn’t there when officers got there, but they spoke to McCoy, who told them he and Cordon had broken up and had been having issues.
Cordon had had been accusing him of cheating on her and had posted on social media about that and their breakup, McCoy told police. He also said Cordon had failed to return jewelry lent to them by jewelers for events despite multiple requests.
He told police he had started eviction proceedings against Cordon and was trying “to be very careful about being around her given the climate of domestic abuse in his profession.” He told police he would bring Cordon’s things, which were piled on the driveway, back inside.
Cordon came home while police were there and also told officers the relationship was over. She said she had nowhere else to go and would be staying at the home.
Delicia Cordon.
Shortly before midnight April 11, police again responded to a domestic dispute at the home. Dispatchers reported that “the callers had everything worked out, but it sounded a little heated over the phone,” a police report says.
McCoy and Cordon separately told an officer they had worked everything out and the argument hadn’t been physical. Cordon told the officer she had called because McCoy was moving some furniture out of the house that she wanted to keep.

Cordon called police from Virginia on June 1 to say she saw people removing things from the home through security cameras that she could monitor on her cellphone, a police report says. McCoy was also out of town.
When police arrived, they spoke to McCoy’s mother who said her son was moving out and had asked her to get his stuff so he wouldn’t have to deal with Cordon, the report says. She said McCoy had said Cordon could stay in the house until it sold since she had two small children, but that he wanted his things.
Police said any disputes over belongings would have to be resolved in court, and movers left with just McCoy’s clothing and shoes, the report says.
McCoy’s friend, Tamarcus Porter, filed eviction proceedings against Cordon on McCoy’s behalf on June 6. In a court filing challenging the eviction proceedings, Cordon’s attorney said Cordon and McCoy had discussed marriage over Memorial Day weekend and that McCoy gave Cordon “a substantial gift” on May 29.
A hearing on the eviction proceedings is planned for a later date.

This French-English Blogger Has Mastered
Style that doesn’t come evidently to a French girl? Looks like a cultural anathema, specifically while thinking about 1/2-English and half-French style blogger Camille Charrière. Having endeared herself to her nearly half of a million Instagram fans with that enviable “performed, however, undone” insouciant style that Seems like a birthright to our Gallic sisters, it appears her destiny as a Fashion phenomenon changed into greater than sealed.
but, as the 29-12 months-antique former lawyer explains, developing up in a house full of intellectuals, a profession in the creative enterprise wasn’t necessarily recommended. Still, after a brief stint in the finance international, Charrière subsequently took the plunge into Fashion with the launch of her weblog, Camille Over the Rainbow, and the relaxation, as she says, is history World Scoop.
From documenting her cool-lady fashion on her buzzy blog to currently launching a podcast, Fashion: No Clearout, the Pau, France-native continually brings a clean, unstudied elegance to her style for paintings—a sentiment that still interprets into her beauty ordinary. With the help of Wella’s nourishing Oil Reflections products–such little renovation! Such huge results!–Charrière continues that blonde bedhead of hers brilliantly.
Here, the blogger tells us how she came to work in Style, why she invests in exceptional hair care products, and how her multilingual and multicultural heritage conjures up her style.
Style Is a Received Flavor My mom is half English and half French, and simplest agreed to marry my French dad and pass lower back to France with him at the situation that our family would be English simplest. So I grew up talking English at home and had to examine French on the go or at college. I now consider my bilingual and bicultural upbringing my mystery weapon—no one expects me to have a British accessory! My parents are noticeably highbrow and kooky, with books pouring out of every corner of my residence, and opera usually gambling at pinnacle extent. but I wouldn’t credit score them for my interest in Fashion. They were very a good deal in opposition to me crossing over into the creative industry. I suppose I always favored garments, but it turned into simplest at a university that I started to like the memories behind the clothes, and began to develop my personal sense of style. I would say, in my case, that my fascination with Fashion turned into Obtained and no longer something I was born with. I graduated as an attorney and labored in finance for a bit before taking the jump of religion into Style. I truly by no means imagined I’d paintings on this industry. From the Finance world to the Style world I was going out with an English guy and determined to move to London notwithstanding having simply graduated from regulation college. Being not able to practice regulation inside the U.Okay. without doing a conversion route, I decided to enter finance, wondering it would upload a few side to my linear CV. It becomes the excellent/worst choice I have ever made. I hated it a lot, I decided right away operating for a massive profits was in no way going to paintings for me. I decided to parent out what I certainly wanted. I started out my blog, Camille Over the Rainbow, as a creative outlet and found out that I wanted to be part of the Style enterprise, so I applied for a process at Net-a-Porter, cease my city task, and the rest is records!
Uniform Dressing, the French Way I don’t have traditional days and that is the exceptional component about what I do. Every day is completely specific. If I’m walking around London, I’m able to make certain I am in at ease clothes, as the metropolis is big and also you become having to nearly jog everywhere so as no longer to be past due. I only get dressed up when I can be. My each day uniform is conventional denim teamed with a big chunky knit or a unfastened-match tee, and both sneakers or Chelsea boots. Easy does it—I’m French in spite of everything!
finished however Undone at work My go-to look for paintings is the “completed, undone” messy bedhead. I focus on very wealthy products to appearance after my bleached locks, but I really like to have a brief habitual. I feel the want to clean my hair Each day due to the fact I don’t like the color it activates day two of being unwashed—the drawback of daily washing being that it could get pretty dry. I like the usage of Wella’s Luminous Smoothing Oil directly out of the shower, after towel drying. Even in winter, I don’t use a blow-dryer as I just like the herbal-wave appearance. The oil makes this easier. With the aid of using quality merchandise Every day, I don’t need to worry about brushing my hair. I also love the Wella Luminous Reboot Masks because it absolutely nourishes my locks without making them heavy or greasy. I’ll use it in place of a conditioner as part of my each day recurring. It does wonders for my damaged, dry highlights. It’s air-dried and looks after itself! Continuously Accessorizing
My earrings in no way come off. I have worn the same jewelry for three years. I have a diamond horn necklace which I love to mention is a croissant in honor of my genes. I additionally wear a signet ring, and horny hoops in order to make even the most boyish outfit extra female.
Hardworking Staples for an afternoon of labor I really like to suppose that I have embraced the idea of wearing a uniform and constructing a wardrobe of tough-running staples, à Los Angeles franchise, jumbled together with the English mentality of “do what you need.” In my case, that in all likelihood means being the least dressy character inside the room at a cocktail celebration. same ease goes for my hair (simply five minutes with Wella’s Luminous Reboot Mask. Come as you are!
Away to Write blog Posts For NonEnglish Speakers
What are the problems that non-English talking bloggers are experiencing in the procedure of blogging? They’re many, however, the two maximum often ordinary demanding situations are the following:
1) no longer sure which language they must use to weblog – should they use their native language and have a smaller potential readership or to the weblog in English in which their readership could be lots larger, but wherein they face demanding situations in writing as nicely?
2) Some other downturn is whilst They may be feeling remote from different bloggers – a lot of them pondered that at instances they felt that they have been not taken as significantly By bloggers in different parts of the arena and found running a blog hard.
If you are a non-English speaker, you can Nevertheless write your blog in English, because you discover it lots less complicated to put in writing about technology-associated news and opinions on this language — especially when most people of your readers are from America, United kingdom, and so forth. There’s clearly lot more opposition in your blog In case you selected to jot down in English and also you should suppose cautiously about what content material you will put up for your weblog after which choose your area of interest.
no longer a bad idea is to blog in each language – your local and English, and have every article posted in both languages. probably you must place plenty more work into this, but it’s a great concept anyway.
Without a doubt, non-English speak bloggers need to ask themselves two questions: what is my goal and what’s my audience? If you blog for human beings you want to make commercial enterprise with at a neighborhood or national degree, then weblog in your local language. At the stop of the day, the entire point is to be understood. In any other case, you can’t anticipate building a weblog network. And of path In case your blog for a worldwide audience, then you must choose English.
Consistent with many bloggers’ stories, you can weblog either in English or to your very own language as quickly as your goals are clean, human beings understand what you have to mention, you’ve got suitable content material — rich, exciting, colorful, you realize your readers and their wishes and you answer to it. In any language, blogging is the same and you need to maintain up with the identical policies.
Of direction, whilst someone writes in a few dialect from a far-flung region, he/she will never get a target audience of million readers. Nevertheless, likely this answers the desires of a handful of nearby readers and each person will be happy approximately that.
The exceptional recommendation to bloggers could be to write within the language you feel most at ease with because this gives you the widest range of expression and the least errors. This Manner you will in all likelihood get a faithful target audience much faster, even if it seems it isn’t always that huge.
However, when you have exact reasons for running a blog in English, inclusive of trying a bigger percentage of worldwide site visitors, however your English is not that suitable, you have to probably try to collaborate yourself with somebody whose English proficiency is much better and feature him/her to proofread your posts for corrections before posting.
On the identical time, bloggers who post blogs in English, but their niche is greater or much less domestically oriented, will lose their local target audience huge time, especially in which English is not one of the languages traditionally studied at school or Otherwise.
So that you can monetize their blogs, many non-English Audio system are starting their blogs in English with the chance we already have noted above. Bloggers who’ve non-English Audio system writing in English are probably tens of millions, and no person can underestimate their function and contribution to the worldwide blogosphere.

How to Shop for Vintage Dress
Vintage Dresses shopping is exciting and enjoyable because you can find items of clothing that nobody else has and you can find good quality items made the way they don't make things these days, from fabrics that might not even be around now. Not only are you sourcing unique items but you're also being eco-friendly into the bargain and pre worn clothing is considered desirable by those frequenting the red carpet to the local fashionista. Buying Vintage Dresses takes a little background knowledge of the styles you like, knowing where to look, and knowing how much you can get away with in terms of fit and alterations; while DIY alterations can help with little fit issues you may have, it’s really important to check the fit of a garment before buying. Ultimately, buying vintage clothing is about choosing what you know you'll feel great wearing. Steps 1 Be aware of vintage clothing dates and quality variations. This article presumes that "vintage" is at least 30 years ago (currently ruling out the 80s), thereby taking in the 1970s and anything before then. Realistically, not a lot of clothing prior to the 1920s is going to be very practical to wear nowadays, and is likely to be harder to find in good enough condition (or at a good price). In terms of quality, a lot of the clothing pre-1960 will be tailored and finished with greater care and preciseness than clothes post the 60s.This is due to the fact that mass manufacturing of cheap clothing, although already in full swing post World War II,really came into its own from the 60s and 70s, so garments from these decades on will be of varying quality and you'll need to rely on your own eye for assessing quality picks. Beware! From the 60s on, the love for human-made fibers no matter how scratchy, icky, or heat-producing will be found in a lot of modern style clothes, so pay close attention to the quality and feel! 2 Know your preferred fashion decades. Through the decades, every era has its own particular fashion statements and focus on emphasizing different parts of the body. For most eras, and certainly from the 30s, checking out photos of the major movie stars will give you an excellent overview of the top fashions for each decade and help you to form an idea of what you like the most. Having a good 20th century fashion book in your possession is a sensible buy that will help guide your choices. As well, visit museums, look at online galleries of vintage clothing, and simply browse through stores to start getting a feel for the older fashions. Some brief major points from the 20s to the 70s include: 1900-1918: Beginning of haute couture, major reforms in clothing and some severity in styles during World War I. 1920s: The flapper fashion era, focusing on a thin silhouette line, lots of beading and intricate work, longer length, and beautiful fabrics. A bit boyish/androgynous in some respects, so perfect for the tomboy. Movies start to influence fashion. 1930s: Lots of glamor and Parisian couture thanks to the movie stars getting more and more publicity, lots of evening gowns, elegant fabrics, and a focus on femininity; lots of French haute couture. 1940s: Thanks to World War II, pragmatism, improvisation, and durability influenced the clothing, with solid suits in neat cuts and durable fabrics like wool leading the way. Colors tended to focus on blue, black, and brown and clothing was often livened up with costume jewelry. 1950s: With rock and roll and an increased focus on youth culture, changes were afoot in the fashion industry, from floral sundresses, full (poodle circle) skirts, fitted bodices, cocktail dresses, bolero tops, halterneck dresses, pretty cardigans, jeans, capris, and gorgeous evening wear worn by the likes of Elizabeth Taylor. And don't forget the Audrey Hepburn look; it's unique. Names from this era include Dior, Balenciaga, Balmain, Faith, Givenchy, Chanel, Norell, Claire McCardell, Mainbocher, and Galanos. Movies continue to act as a strong influence on fashion, passing on the new youth trends; and Barbie comes out in 1959. 1960s: Tailored lines are strong, with Jackie O style suits, to Twiggy mini skirts, all well made and well finished in a glorious range of colors, including oranges and pinks. Patterns are starting to take center stage, including polka dots , psychedelics, paisley, and stripes. And the hippie look is one strong element of the 60s, as the mod/pop preference for synthetics was left behind.Designers from this era include Mary Quant, Paco Rabanne, Andy Warhol, Biba, Laura Ashley, Yves St. Laurent, Chanel, Balmain, Oleg Cassini, Peter Max, etc. 1970s: The hippie era from the 60s leaves its mark on 70s clothing, with long, flowing dresses, as well as lots of amazing (often tasteless) prints and disco influenced looks. There is also punk, disco, and knitted everything. Designers include Ossie Clark, Bill Gibb, Thea Porter, Zandra Rhodes, Gina Fratini, Jean Varon, Jean Muir, Rae Spencer-Cullen, Calvin Klein, Diane von Fürstenberg, Ralph Lauren, Halston, etc. 3 Know what to look out for. When buying Vintage Dresses, look for the quality that older clothes can bring. Vintage clothes have been worn before. That’s part of their charm. Don’t expect brand-new clothing items. But make sure you’re getting your money’s worth as well. Check the garment over for flaws or blemishes, and if you’re buying online, read the description thoroughly! If you’re unsure of the garment’s condition, talk to the seller. They should be able to help you determine whether or not it’s something you want to buy. Check that the item is lined, cut well and structured properly. It is also very helpful if it doesn't date too much to that era but can easily blend into today's forgiving array of fashion, although it's really up to you if you don't mind standing out as someone with clothes from a specific era. Insect damage. Moth, beetle, and other insect damage to clothing can create nasty holes that might not be recoverable. Also, you don't want to be bringing the insects back home if there are still eggs waiting to hatch on the item. Fading of color or pattern. This isn't always fatal but it might really spoil the overall look of the garment if it's too obvious and severe. Totality of embellishments. Are only a few minor ones missing, or are so many missing that it's really evident? Some embellishments make the outfit and might need to be there to ensure it's a really good look. Check for odor, stains, and loose items or tears. In terms of odor, some odors that are hard to remove include mothballs and pet urine. Stains are very iffy because they'll probably have been on there for ages unless someone just upended coffee on it while browsing. Can the stain be covered? Would it matter if you scrubbed at it but it didn't come off? Is it so glaring as to render the piece unwearable? Could the item be altered to work around the stain? In terms of tears or rips, are they repairable or can something else cover the tear without ruining the look? Be ruthless in asking your internal questions because an item that is ruined won't be worn by you; if the fabric itself is so gorgeous it's to die for though, could it be turned into gloves, a scarf, a cushion cover instead? If so, ask for a reduced sale price! Keep in mind that if it doesn't feel right or look good when you try it on, then it probably isn't the piece for you (subject to a reasonable assessment of the potential for alterations). Be wary of the fabric's fragility. Some fabrics are more fragile than others and only increase in fragility over time. Chiffon, net, and lace are very susceptible to wear over time and should be examined carefully before purchase. Even when purchased, they should still be worn rarely in order to preserve them. 4 Understand the importance of trying on the clothing for size. Sizing has changed considerably over time, and varies greatly depending on which country the garment originally came from. So if you’re buying from a store, always try things on before purchasing them or you may be disappointed when you try it on at home. And many vintage stores sell "as is" and won't accept returns, but ask all the same before you buy if an item can be returned for not fitting or because you've changed your mind. Note that most online vintage sellers will estimate which contemporary size the garment will fit, but you should always double-check the measurements anyway, just to be safe. And if you’re buying online, make sure you check the measurements (and know your own)! In this case, check the terms and conditions for return should the online estimate be way off. 5 Decide on your budget. On the whole, cheap vintage dresses can cost more or less than its modern, new equivalent depending on where you source it from. In particular, quality vintage designer wear will still cost a small fortune, especially for the more well-known designers, so factor that into your budget; the rule is fairly much that anything that was expensive when it was made will be correspondingly expensive as a "collectible" today. However, only spend a lot on such clothing if you are purchasing from a reputable vintage wear retailer.[11] To spend a lot less on vintage clothing though, and to really have fun, hunt and discover as many possible sources for older clothing where prices are likely to be lower (such as thrift stores and garage sales), to find vintage wear at a price that's affordable (see the next step for more ideas on where to shop). When making the most of your clothing budget, keep in mind that just a few key vintage pieces mixed in with your regular clothing will go a long way to glamming up your wardrobe. Not all designer labels should be more expensive. If the label was made for the mass market, it doesn't deserve to come with a high price. Do some learning about the origins and purpose of the label's marketing approaches. 6 Know where to shop. cheap vintage dresses can be found in numerous places but the extent and quality will come down to the devotion of the seller sourcing the vintage clothing, so always start by checking out the credentials of the seller to find out how much they know about vintage clothing, as this will give you the confidence that they're selling good garments. Places to look include: Stores specifically catering to selling vintage clothing. These can be solely clothing or they might form part of an antique store or mall-style store. Generally you should find the seller very knowledgeable about the clothing, the clothing will have been carefully selected, and there should be fitting rooms to try on the garments. Look online for recommended stores near you; there will be many lists supplied on vintage clothing sites. A visit to the local library to check out books on vintage clothing should also turn up some lists within the books, although these may be region-specific only. Grace Karin Online. There are many vintage clothing stores online, both as distinct websites, or through auction sites. Don't forget to also check general sales advertisements online as sometimes families dealing with estates will get rid of entire box-loads of old clothing rather than having to deal with sorting through them. In terms of the success rate of online purchases, it will be lower than when you've personally visited a store and tried on the item. Don't be surprised if some of the things you get are not at all what you'd hoped. The safest bets for online shopping include knitwear, coats, and blouses because they fit over several sizes. Check out thrift stores and charity shops. They tend to carry a wide selection of clothing from different eras. It'll be more work searching through all the different clothes but when you find something older, what a thrill! As you become more experienced, you should be able to simply walk down an aisle of clothes and "spot" anything vintage without even handling the garments. Don't dismiss local sales such as garage and yard sales, school bazaars and fairs, church charity sales, flea markets, etc. as all of these can be fun sources of unearthing vintage clothing via donations. And flea markets and the like can be a real treasure chest of vintage clothing finds! Your own family. Don't be afraid to ask your elegant Great Aunt if there is anything in her wardrobe from decades ago that she's happy for you to wear. You can even share delightful stories of the last time she wore her beautiful evening gown from 1954... Be aware that consignment shops tend to carry contemporary clothing unless they have enough space to also carry vintage. However, it'll depend on the quirks of the owner, so don't completely rule them out as a possible source, and they may be a good source for designer wear whatever the year. 7 Be an open-minded and flexible browser. Although you might like the fashion of a certain era, it pays to have a broad mind when hunting for vintage clothing because you never know what you might unearth that you "just have to have" even if it doesn't fall within your idea of the era of vintage clothing you prefer. Browsing through it all will give you the opportunity to expand your options without being restricted by having a specific piece in mind. It also helps to think about your existing clothes and how the new items would mix in (see below for mixing the old with the new). 8 Be prepared to make alterations. Don't be afraid to alter a vintage garment, either for fit or for a totally changed look, or maybe even both. When you find the ideal print or fabric but you only like part of the garment, or you know it'd be great if only it looked "just so", then be prepared to alter it yourself (DIY) or to have it tailored to look the way you'd prefer. The chances are that you won't find the fabric or quality anywhere else, so it's worth the expense and effort to adapt the item. Sometimes, a vintage garment just needs a nip here or a tuck there to fit perfectly. Tying, cutting, and pinning things are also interesting ways to get a good fit and add some character to your outfit. Borrow a good book from the library on making alterations if you are a competent sewer but need some direction. This doesn’t mean you should turn all Project Runway if you don’t know what you’re doing. If that dress you just bought is a few inches too long and you try to hem it when you’ve never sewn before, the situation will probably end in tears. It’s best to leave the technical alterations to a friend who sews, or a tailor. 9 Mix the old with the new. When deciding how to wear your vintage clothing, pair the vintage with the contemporary. Clothes and accessories that you wear every day can be shifted up a notch with the addition of something gorgeous from your vintage collection, such as adding a modern bag and shoes to an old 50s fitted dress. Some of the coolest outfits out there are the ones that combine vintage pieces with modern trends; if you already love your skinny jeans, imagine how killer they could look when paired with some vintage boots. Love your new blazer? How cute will it look with a vintage mini dress! 10 Love your look. The final but most important part of a good Grace Karin vintage shop is to love your look. If you don't, get back to the mirror and keep refining until you do. All clothes, whether vintage or new, should make you look your best, so that you can feel great when you step out. Don't neglect vintage accessories to complete the look. There are many possible additions including bags, hats, hair accessories, jewelry, scarves, and more. Vintage shoes can also complete the look but shoes often don't wear as well in their used state. The answer is to look for modern equivalents where you can't find a decent vintage pair.
