In the Pokémon AU, is the battling going to lean more towards the traditional game style of battling?

Or maybe the anime style where Pokémon and trainers have full control over their move use, allowing for creative move fuckery?

Or somewhere in between like PokéPark or Pokkén Tournament, where moves are set in their capabilities but real-time elements are present in battle and Pokémon can use their body parts in ways other than traditional moves?

I think I'm leaning more toward the anime.

One reason is that it is easier to write if I ever make this a proper fic.

The other is that, on top of battles, I'm utilizing Contests. And tbh Contests appealed to me more in the anime than they did in the games.

I've mentioned it a few times but I've never fully put together a post to explain what it is so here's that

Ok first off in true pokémon fashion this au comes in two versions (because I couldn't pick a plot/setting), Poképark: Kirby's Adventure and Poképark: Dreams Beyond

PokéPark: Kirby's Adventure has the plot and setting of Poképark 2 and Poképark: Dreams Beyond has regions based on kirby settings and the plot form the games (+ some headcannons)

I have a lot of design and lore ideas for this but I'm cant fully figure out a few of them (Meta Knight) so I'm posting this instead!

hey so I made a non-sword galaxia design that I definitely didn't make because I made up some lore on the fly for that poképark au, this one's definitely a wip atm but I'm posting it now because uhhhhhh

anyways notes time

Daydream is half human/ancient and half whatever Fecto Elfilis is, the Fecto Elfilis part is there for dream magic/science reasons

guarded the Fountain of Dreams untill Nightmare showed up and in one way or another their soul gets put in a sword

extra bit of Nightmare lore, also a human, but at some point he messed about and found out what happens when you mix dark matter and dream magic/matter together
