Something about Ted going to see the Sunflowers is sticking with me. The Sunflowers!! I imagine other people know their Van Gogh history better than me but - we have the sunflowers because Van Gogh's brother loved him and because he found treatment and because he was on medication!!! We think that art comes through pain but it's so often when healing has taken place. To have Ted look at this artwork, that has such a pervasive story behind it about how you need to suffer for your art, that Van Gogh was depressed and then committed suicide, and actually the story is that this beauty comes from friends and loved ones and healing!!!!! Bro that's nuts!!! Ted looking at this art and being reminded of Kansas, being reminded of his dad, but also, as someone who has seen the Sunflowers in real life that yellow is So Bright and So Intense that you can hardly see anything else in a room. It's powerful. No matter where you are I think that painting is a bright spot in the darkness. Idk I get emotional about Van Gogh and I'm always emotional about Ted
