Your latest ask about Prom and Gladio reminded me of a prompt I wanted to throw at you!

I’d love to see a written take on Noctis going through Pitioss. The player got to experience all the bullshit with a few lines from Noct, but I want to see what he was REALLY feeling while doing that dungeon. You can decide if he wins or says fuck it and gives up 😂😂

@seradyn OH LORD HAVE MERCY 😂😂😂 this was the ONE mission in the game I never completed. I spent 2 days at it and rage quit. NEVER AGAIN. Anyway, Noctis questioning his life choices coming right up!

The black hood shook in Noctis's grasp while he trembled. Even through the commotion of cheers and concern from his friends, Noctis didn't register a sound. A faint buzzing was all he could latch onto, followed by how the sun both felt welcoming and like an enemy at once.

Three days. He had spent Three days in what could only be described as the perfect hell. An endless menagerie of puzzles and traps at every corner and sight. Noctis lost count how many times a giant sphere almost ran him over. How on the second night he cried himself to sleep, wondering what sort of closure his friends would get if they could never find his corpse. How Eos would be doomed to calamity because he decided to screw off and perform a dangerous feat; all for some damned piece of cloth.

Noctis didn't know what he was expecting when he got to the end of the dungeon. There was no hidden knowledge acquired, no interesting artifacts, no treasure; just a rag of a hood and a window leading right back to where he started. The lackluster experience further added to his irritability while he clutched the hood and felt a strong temptation to rip it in half. He almost died for this thing, and the thought pissed Noctis off to no end.

"What did you see down there?" Ignis couldn't help but ask with excitement. His growing fascination with Ancient Solheim showed through his tone.

"What Ignis said!" Prompto chimed.

"By the ass of the Astrals, you look pale! Holy crap...you good, Noct?" Gladio raised a brow.

Noctis went neutral, his gaze poised on the Regalia straight ahead. He marched over to the car without a second thought, ignoring the confused glances his friends gave.

As soon as Noctis opened the door and slammed it behind him, be broke down. Crying hard into the black hood while the boys watched on from afar.

"Whatever he witnessed, it must've overwhelmed him with awe." Ignis murmured.

"I uh, don't think it's quite that..." Prompto chuckled nervously. "Um, should we go and check up on him?"

"No," Gladio shook his head and made a face. "That right there, is a man who has been broken down to where he's having an existential crisis. Let's give him some space."

"Considering the end game for Noct, that's messed up..." Prompto winced.

the thing about me is i love the depths absolutely favorite part of the game so far have probably spent half my playtime down there. sooooooo so scared of them. and keep ending up exploring them at 2am

You know... it's the year of our Lord 2022 (almost 2023), and I still have PTSD from the Pitioss Dungeon from Final Fantasy XV. I swear.

i love wanderlust!!!!! first and foremost <3 the beginning of it especially but i like all of it <3

veiled in black is my favorite fight theme & careening into danger is good also :-] <3 melancholia has a really beautiful melody though it makes me sad <3

disquiet is REALLY GOOD even though it plays in the most agonizing dungeon and i had to listen to it for 4 hours straight <3 still good <3

i’m not ok about luna and i’m ESPECIALLY not ok about dewdrops at dawn!!!!!!

and bros on the road II’s name does NOT make it sound emotional but that’s the song that plays during the motel/rooftop scene and so it is dear to me <3 the end <333

「 Happy Halloween from the most remote Niflheim base on Eos, where twisted and macabre experiments are brewing, my Prompto being part of them, with an ending not as happy as the one shown in Episode Prompto, revealing its true nature, a killing machine. An idea that I obviously had thanks to the lore of this character and images that I saw of demonizations and robots in this game, deciding to combine both to create the cosplay of today⚡

⠀The truth is that this week I haven't drawn, because I already have a drawing almost finished for next week, but it has been a very spooky week, of rest, creativity, costumes, makeups, supernatural stuff... and the usual, playing FFXV, Minecraft, playing the kalimba... In short, a common but halloweenesque week, so with a very good atmosphere and of course, immersed in the deepest part of my universe and also in the dungeons of FFXV (I've done two of the longest and most complicated ones: Pitioss and Steyliff second one!)🎃

Hunting for the last couple of rainbow frogs was filling me with rage so i decided to take a break from that and try out Pitioss Dungeon. A number of flying car crashes later, I finally made it there and A) this is not at all what I was expecting and B) this is somehow much, much worse

#i know i know... #this difficult but straightforward side quest is filling me with rage so let's go do the optional dungeon that's notorious for causing rage #is perhaps not my finest progression of logic #but i am here now and i am extremely stubborn #at least it's a different rage now #I'm mixing it up and keeping it fresh #Maria plays FFXV #dragonwords

Since the new Final Fantasy 16 trailer is up on youtube. I had the urge to play FFXV again but since I've finnish the main story I for some reason decided to do all of the bonus mission after new game+. My favourites are doing the secret dungeons with the big doors lots of stronger monsters and great drops.

However the Pitioss Ruins can just DIE! I hate this puzzle dungeon with a passion! This Optional dungeon just to get 'Black Hood' accessory for Noctis is HELL (Hell I tell you!).

I am amaze at those who are able to navigate that treacherous dungeon and jealous cause it is the only way to get that accessory in the game.

After hours in that hell I had to remind myself it is not necessary to have 'Black Hood' so I just gave up. So here I am just to say FFXV is an amazing and fun game to play so don't stress yourself on optional quest. Cheers!

I have a suspicion now that the weird doors in dungeons are actually more royal tombs (+ obligatory boss battle) because I went up and down the insomnia waterways dungeon for like an hour and found a weird alien door but not a royal tomb and every other dungeon has a royal tomb.....

Tho I hear pitioss (wherever it is. I'm looking forward to this one) doesn't have a royal tomb so maybe this one doesn't either....

i remember when i first read about pitioss ruins, I didn't get into all the details, but read that only Noctis is allowed inside, and it's like a big deal dungeon that you've got to use the flying car to get to and it's hard to land... and I was like "oooh... scary. I'll be on my own... dangerous..." but I had no idea it was dangerous mentally and not physically. And that landing the car was the least of our concerns.

tbh every time I play Elden Ring i get the urge to play Final Fantasy XV

dungeons that are ruins of an ancient civilization can only be explored at night time in that game holy shit. also the post game dungeons that would restrict your actions and the mindfuckery that is pitioss dungeon. there’s just no other game that has a dungeon level like pitioss

I took a trip to Pitioss.  I spent way too many hours there last time trying to navigate this rage inducing dungeon.  I swore I’d never do it again but I’m a glutton for punishment.  This time I had Ansel to help me document my journey.  It’s not easy to take pictures in a dark dungeon but one thing that caught my eye were the neon moths that flutter about the place.  The look like nothing more than blue specs on the screen but up close they are really detailed and stunningly beautiful.  It made the trip worthwhile.
