There's something about Cleo's finale that really gets me in the feels
The isles broke down and devolved around them. Their home, completely shook to it's core and they didn't know about it. Admittedly blackout drunk most of the time. On top of that, some of the few connections they had made were shattered in the final days, due to certain events.
But...that ending. Starring out to a colourful sky. After everything, they're still standing. Still alive, still surviving. Despite the loss of friends. Despite the corruption infesting the isles.
Despite everything, Cleo is able to seek a brand new world. A world beyond the ice wall. Despite Scar being turned to stone. Despite Acho dying. Despite Scott and Water being wracked with grief over their own losses. She's still here, in the end.
"Explore in our ships, in a whole new world." Is the final line said, gazing out at the sunrise. And there is something beautiful and emotional about that.

hey Hey HEY im not over apo and graecie’s ending at all.
They’re gonna work to bring the lost home… They’re gonna search far and for as long as it may take just at the hope of being able to fix what was done to not only their loved ones and faction members, but those who where from different factions and total strangers to them. And from where the two of them started out at the beginning I’m so happy how much they have grown.
For apo he’s now fully willing to put his life on the line for his family and crew in the pursuit to help them when at the start of the journey he wouldn’t have even bat an eye at their deaths and mentioned something about every man for themselves, and for Graecie she really now is a pirate and has urned the respect through not only her own actions but by urning herself the position as the leader of the nightengales and for the girl who at the start had trouble even being able to steer a ship out onto the seas I think she’s done well for herself.
I really do believe that in the end these two are gonna be able to find a cure and bring them all back. Despite the literal years of non stop adventure and work ahead for them I think they eventually will be able to bring the lost home. Home to lifetimes of tales gathered a long the way and home to all the new friends and faction members sure to follow.
I believe they like ivy’s words they will all be able to make the world a brighter place.

Okay but like Scott totally would’ve made a great Kestrel
His whole POV he’s talking about how he has to like live up to the family name and make a name for himself and also that his brother was ostracized for not really believing in the factioning
Then there’s the whole thing with him Sausage and Kyle that I won’t even try debunking but let’s just say he’s very very close with the kestrels, he seems to immediately fit in and in his POV when the other kestrels immediately tried to kick the herons out of their home base, Kyle just went “oh hi Scott”
so yeah

so there‘s red vines in the bounty guild room….
Tumblr media
why does this feel a lot like the purple vines and like something infecting the island.. hmmm
hook also said that people went missing near the entry to the bounty guild, and there‘s a skull and cages in the room
this just feels like people could have been taken by the vines or something, and that this is also the thing that “has begun to fester under [the pirates] very feet“ as stated in the intro ?

I was overthinking the pirates smp and now have a theory
So I'm going to start this off by saying that I think the whole thing with Gabriel is going to lead to the next death of the series and that it will specifically be a heron death (because we'll the quest for Gabriel was very clearly targeting herons)
Either way in that stream the monster slayer tells the party that took the quest for Gabriel that opening the crypt would lead to their deaths (or something along those lines I don't remember it word for word) and I was thinking about that and realized, I'm pretty sure there's a lot of crypts across the map, and the weird temple thing that Guqqie entered in the animation from the first episode looked pretty similar to those crypts. So what if each crypt houses some kinda corruption or calamity or something and the weird purple corruption stuff originated from a crypt that was on the island it over took?
I think that's the best explanation I can give rn. It's late and I may just be insane and overthinking but if you find this theory interesting then take it an do what you want, ig.

As soon as the finale of Pirates SMP ended I have had this idea in my head and I need to share it.
What if the outside world beyond the ice wall is actually in modern times and, as the pirates explore the world they find huge ships ten times the size of theirs and strange devices they never knew could have existed. The idea in my head is that the cult of Iris has been around for hundreds of years and created the wall in the golden age of pirating and as time outside moved on, those inside the wall reminded in that era, left behind by the world beyond the wall. I don’t know why but I cannot get this idea out of my head.

The Horror of the Petrification is. Really compelling.
Because while we can watch it, slowly see Bek and Will turn into stone and feel this deep sense of dread, it cannot compare to the people who turned to stone without us knowing.
But there's something horrifying about people being stolen away, cold and freezing as they turn into stone. The inherent horror of Scar, or Puffy, or anyone being taken and slowly petrified in a terrifying environment of unknown purple. And that's the last thing you see.
What happened to these pirates? Did Tubbo fight to his last? Did Michaela try and run? We have no idea what happened to anyone of these pirates.
And the most terrifying part? No one noticed. Krow can talk about how if he wanted to speak with a drunk, he'd go to Redd. And not know that Redd was taken by cultists. The Kestrels can constantly talk about how Guqqie is missing, but not notice that Shelby was taken right under their noses.
These Pirates are taken, cold and alone, turned to stone and no one notices. And that truly is the horror of the petrification.

Thinking about the idea that after today p!Graecie doesn’t wear the eyepatch anymore. I think at this point she doesn’t need it to feel like a true pirate. (Hell she helped take down Iris for cry out loud and is gonna help get the others back!) I think by this point with being the leader of the nightengales plus all the other cool shit she’s done I think today she finally stops to wear the old thing.
And hey when the rescue those lost (especially p!will) hopefully they notice the change. Now let’s just hope the change to having depth perception again is a smooth one….
