amidst covid-19
Me: . .
since the outbreak, naging cautious na din ako sa mga hinahawakan ko sa labas especially sa railings sa loob ng train - iniisip ko na lang na nagsnow board ako kapag walang makapitan :) .. dahil kakaunti ang alcohol ko dito sa bahay (nagpanic buying din sila ng beri layt kaya wala akong nabili) kaya dapat maingat ako.. buti na lang sa opisina meron silang nakahanda na alcohol sa entrance pa lang ng building.. refill-an ko kaya ung 60ml bote ko mula dun? ~evil laugh~ hahaha bad..
let us keep ourselves healthy.. keep calm..
let us keep our faith and pray always..
matatapos din ang ka-virusan na ito..

My 3 chosen Field of Expertise/  Social Media  Influencers
What is Social Media?-  It is a forms of electronic communication (such as websites for social networking and microblogging) through which users create online communities to share information, ideas, personal messages, and other content (such as videos). The social media platform is a crucial tool for your business marketing strategy. Social Media increase awareness about your business, connect you with your customer and increase your leads and incomes. To engage with brands and latest fashion most of the people use social media accounts. Some examples of social media sites and applications include Facebook, YouTube, Del.icio.us, Twitter, Digg, blogs and other sites that have content based on user participation and user-generated content (UGC).
DANCING
First field of expertise that i chose is Dancing, one of my influencer is MAJA SALVADOR. Maja Ross Andres Salvador ; born October 5, 1988) is a Filipina actress, dancer, singer, model, occasional host and producer. She is currently under the management of ABS-CBN's Star Magic and is regarded as the "Dance Princess".[1] In 2011, Salvador co-produced and portrayed the title role in the film Thelma, which earned her the Gawad Urian Award and the Film Academy of the Philippines Award for Best Actress.[2][3] She is widely known for her roles in the TV series Nagsimula sa Puso, Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin, Ina, Kapatid, Anak, The Legal Wife, Bridges of Love and FPJ's Ang Probinsyano. In 2017, Salvador rose to prominence for her role as Lily Cruz / Ivy Aguas in Wildflower.
I really love Maja Salvador when it comes of Dancing and Acting that’s why i choose her as one of the influencer in Dance Category. The most important why her because i love her wild confident while she performing on the stage, and i love her also when she act  on the TV screen she can portray both protagonist and anthagonist. Im so proud of her very versatile or  multi-talented person that i know in showbiz world.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ENTERTAINMENT
Second expertise that i chose is Entertainment, in that field of expertise i choose MAYMAY ENTRATA or her real name was Mary Dale Entrata born in Camiguin on May 6, 1997 though raised in Cagayan De Oro City, Philippines. She grew up with her grandparents as her father left them when she was just a year old and her mother went to Japan as an OFW. Starting at the age of 14, Entrata began auditioning for various reality TV shows to fulfill her ambition of becoming an actress.
Through the years, she was rebuffed from Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Clash 2010, Pinoy Big Brother: 737, The Voice and Pilipinas Got Talent. In 2016, Entrata auditioned for Pinoy Big Brother Lucky Season 7 and was chosen for the Teen Edition. Entrata was the Lucky Teen Housemate chosen by the Celebrity housemates after accomplishing 6 out of 7 lucky tasks to become a fully pledged housemate for the Teen Edition. She entered the house a day after the two Celebrity Housemates, Jinri Park and Nikko Natividad & McCoy DeLeon were announced as the two Lucky Stars finalists.
- Im really proud of her now because of her achievements on her life from nothing  until  she became a successful young woman in abs-cbn network. I love her confident also because she show her talent to the world and her fighting spirit im really amazed. She shared her joy to others that makes people happy and i wish she will not change of what she is right now, and  let her life will recieve a more blessings. SHE JUST KEEP ON FIGHTING AND DREAM HIGH MAYMAY ENTRATA.

NEWS ANCHOR
The last field of expertise that I chose is News Anchor and for me, one of the influencer is MIKE ENRIQUEZ or  .Miguel Castro Enriquez (born on September 29, 1951, Santa Ana, Manila), also known as Mike Enriquez, is a Filipino television and radio newscaster. He is also the Consultant for radio operations of GMA Network, and president of the network's regional and radio subsidiary, RGMA Network Inc., and the Station Manager of Super Radyo DZBB 594 AM. ..
He started his career in broadcasting as a staff announcer at the Manila Broadcasting Company in 1969. It began when he visited a friend in that company and accidentally discovered his interest in radio.[1] He has since worked in various positions, as a broadcast reporter, a news editor, program director, and station manager, until he became manager of a medium-sized radio network.
He also had stints in other radio networks such as Freedom Broadcasting Radio Network and Radio Mindanao Network (RMN), where he became vice president for the company. He was the man behind the huge success of DWKC 93.9, which stayed in the number 1 spot for so many years before he left in 1995. He is the voice behind the Mellow Touch 94.7 signature and introduction.[1] He also became a disc jockey known as "Baby Michael" and he played a cameo role as a disc jockey in Andrew E.'s 1992 movie Mahirap ang Maging Pogi (It's Not Easy Being Handsome).
Mike Enriquez was one of my best anchor for me because he has a gifted voice given by GOD, i love his modulated and husky voice and the way he delivered his report on TV News Caster it is very nice.
Tumblr media
In general, i would say that its better to know your self of  “Who i am “  or “What can i do” as a person, we need to explore more ourselves because it would be easy to know of what field of expertise we belong as individual in this world where we are living. We can’t say that we don’t have a talent or expertise and the answers is no because  all of us have a field that we are good and expert, but there was a time that we are afraid to show our talents beacuse fears is always win. If we have a talent let it show to the world , do not hide of what you can do because it you no one can take your place or substitute of your life.
Right now, i really know of what field that i belong to. The field of expertise that i have was Dancing, Acting, being an anchor of Filipino Broadcasting and last is being a Good chef. I have full confident to showcase or shared my talents in front of many people, sometimes even if i have that confident the destroyer of all my talents was a Fear, a fear that push me not to do like for example the comments and reaction that i will recieve to others after doing my performance, to let this fear will not appear i would always thinks positively in order to achieve my goals and to be successful person, as what i said no one can take our place because its our individuals self no one can controlled us.

Life's still good: Overseas Pinoys share Christmas amid pandemic
#PHnews: Life's still good: Overseas Pinoys share Christmas amid pandemic
MANILA – While the Philippines is still battling with the impact of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-2019) pandemic, Filipinos are slowly but surely bouncing back and showing glimmers of hope to celebrate the Yuletide season. Filipinos working overseas are no exception in spreading the Christmas spirit amid the health crisis and willingly shared to the Philippine News Agency (PNA) how some of life's biggest blessings are borne out of their hardest challenges. Reyven Osorio, 54, works as an engineer for various oil companies for 27 years in different parts of the world.
Due to the pandemic, Osorio is now temporarily out-of-work but the Japanese government is providing for his monthly stipend covering at least 60 percent of his income. He is spending his free time to good use by going around different tourist spots in Japan such as Hokkaido, Harada, Tokyo, and Asakusa, with his daughter Vena Roshiena.
“A lot of good times have been created during this pandemic, there are ups and downs but the blessings that came along with it are definitely bigger. I am able to spend a lot of my time with my daughter. We would go to places and she would keep records of it through her vlog which our family in the Philippines can see. It’s a way to ease their worries by letting them know we are doing alright here,” he said. Osorio has been working abroad as an engineer since he was 26.
He first worked in Saudi Arabia where his journey as an OFW began when his older brother died and he stepped-up to be the kuya for his four other siblings. Soon, he also had a family of his own which prompted him to continue working abroad.
Osorio said there are a lot of happenings in the world that may distract a person and the key to remain grounded is to keep the focus on family.
“It’s difficult in the start but it will grow on you eventually and in a lot of ways the sacrifices of being an overseas worker are worth it. To those who are still in their early years of work and are having a hard time, it will get better. For now, let’s enjoy what we have and do what we have to do, celebrate the little things and the big ones with pure joy like Christmas,” he said.

Jianzel Villacorte, 25, who has been in New Jersey, USA for five years recently got her nursing degree.
Villacorte followed her mother to the United States in 2015. Despite being armed with her AB Mass Communication degree from Ateneo de Davao, she studied and earned her nursing degree from New York University in May this year.
But jobs were hard to come by following the restrictions due to the Covid-19.
“I was in the process of doubting myself during job hunting. Luckily I found one, and it was not easy either. As a pediatric nurse, I had to be there not only for my patients but also for their parents. I had to provide emotional support. The term 'patient care' was given a new meaning at this time. I coped by thinking that it is a big opportunity to be able to give service to these people during this challenging time. It’s very rewarding,” she said.
A simple dinner shared with family after attending the Holy Mass would be a delightful Christmas for Villacorte. There may not be any parties for this year but she shared she is still happy that she is spending the holidays together with loved ones.

Marion Florentino, 27, is a seven-year licensed seafarer.
The life of a seafarer is already filled with uncertainties but much more during the pandemic.
Florentino shared his flight from Davao to Manila had to be re-booked three times by his crewing officer when he was called to receive a new contract in July this year from the company he has been working for since he got his license.
“I had to find a safe place to stay while waiting for the confirmation from the agency and it was a tedious process looking for a unit that is safe and clean, there were many restrictions and protocol. Luckily after I got my swab results which turned out negative, the company has provided us with decent accommodation. Still, anxiety was sky-high then thinking we do not have an income yet and there were bills to pay. I’m just blessed that my company allocated some financial aid for us while we were waiting for dispatch,” he said.
When he was younger, he said, he did not plan on becoming a seafarer but he was offered a scholarship grant by a shipping line based abroad so he took the chance considering how much he can save from the deal.
Florentino likened spending his days at sea to being in quarantine. “It’s hard. It has its ups and downs but seeing my parents happy, that they are proud of what I have achieved takes all the sacrifices away, it’s the best incentive. Really, it is just about looking forward to a better future for them and for the family than I will be building,” he added.
For this year, he will share Christmas with his shipmates as he started his new contract in September.
“We just video call with family. Hopefully, the Internet connection will cooperate,” he added.
When time permits, Marion Florentino and his parents (Ariel and Gina) will catch up with each other via video call.  It is a cure to loneliness, he added. (Photo from Marion Florentino)
Rhea Bragas, 31, moved to Australia in 2018 to study culinary.
Relocating to a different country was a decision Bragas pondered on for over a year. After quitting her job as a journalist for almost nine years, she went on to chase another dream in Australia.
“I want to make more so that I can give more. I knew that there is something big for me, supernatural opportunities that are waiting for me in Australia. I won’t settle for a life that is less than the one I am capable of living,” she said.
Everything for her was a learning opportunity when she finally arrived in Sydney.
She shared that she developed a better grip on managing her time and finances because she can only rely on herself.
“When I was still studying Culinary and Hospitality Management, I had two jobs: an apprentice chef and the TFC (The Filipino Channel) News Correspondent for Australia. After two years, I completed my studies and I graduated last July. It was not easy and comfortable, but it was all worth it,” she said.
When the pandemic hit, the tourism industry halted its operations leaving her jobless.
However, she was hired for temporary work in Sydney Transport until things get back to normal again.
“We are so blessed to have a job during the pandemic. Giving up and going home was never an option. Everything is still working out for us. Now, I ended up having three jobs and I am so grateful for it,” she said.
For Christmas however, “work is life” is her mantra.
“If you are working in the hospitality industry, it is expected that you always spend your Christmas and New Year working, giving the customers the best dining experience. But I won’t mind at all because I can still enjoy watching the fireworks in the most beautiful harbor in the world. It’s just a matter of perspective. We just need to carry on with life,” she added. (PNA)

BEST FOREIGN CURRENCIES FOR OFWS TO EARN
One of the perks of being a Pinoy abroad is that they earn foreign currencies instead of Philippine pesos. However, you must understand that not all money is created equal; some have more value than others. So if you’re planning to chase your dreams outside the Philippines, then best go to the country whose currency has high value. Check out the currencies below.
US Dollar
The US Dollar is still the king of all currencies, with most foreign money’s value still pegged to it. And thanks to the USA’s world economic leadership, the US Dollar was dubbed as the “Word Reserve Currency,” meaning that OFWs like you can earn it anytime and anywhere.
Europen Euro
Recent years have seen the Euro strengthening, allowing it to become among the world’s top currencies. This growth is largely due to the European countries adopting it as their official currency. So in case a land-based employment opportunity appears in Europe, don’t hesitate to seize it.
British Pound
Though no longer the world’s strongest currency, the British Pound is still a financial force to be reckoned with. Being slightly higher than the US Dollar in terms of exchange value, it’s definitely a great currency for OFWs to earn.
Japanese Yen
Although the Japanese Yen’s value seems small in comparison with the other currencies on this list, you can rest assured that it’s one of the most stable money to earn for OFWs. After all, just because a currency has a small value doesn’t mean it’s not performing well in the global markets, and Japan happens to be one of the strongest countries in the world.
Hong Kong Dollar
Used in both Hong Kong and Macau, the HK Dollar is the official currency of Hong Kong. It also happens to be among the most traded currencies in the world. Relatively higher than the Philippine peso in terms of value, it’s also a great currency for you to earn in case you’re dreaming of making it big abroad.
Canadian Dollar
Being the fifth largest reserve world currency, the Canadian Dollar is another great currency for OFWs to earn. With the country very welcoming to foreign employees, Canada is a great place to work in. And with the country pursuing a policy of multiculturalism, working there is pretty breezy.
Final Thoughts
Working abroad may be hard due to you leaving the home and people you love, but at least you get to earn higher than most of your kababayans in the Philippines. So if you happen to have a job in a country that uses the currencies listed above, good for you!

EB 4.0: Believer. Mover. Giver. Lover. Forever. (Last Part)
Tumblr media
Since its inception in 1979, the show made milestones on Philippine TV, including: -The Biggest raffle draw (through Lottong Bahay) held at the Quezon City Memorial Circle with millions of entries scattered the venue -The 1st TV show to give millions (including the so-called Laban o Bawi segment) -Historic commercial-free special episodes -Worldwide trending topic on social media due to the AlDub phenomenon -Eat Bulaga now broadcasts worldwide either express airing or delayed broadcast via GMA Pinoy TV since 2005, which in turn mounted sold-out shows abroad where the hosts led the celebration in front of OFW's. -First noontime variety show to be exported internationally through Eat Bulaga Indonesia (2012-2016) and now this 2019, it will bring the viewers in Myanmar through the 2nd franchise of the show as Eat Bulaga! Myanmar very soon.
Tumblr media
And it is proven that 7 presidents survived the show's existence from Marcos to Duterte (even Pres. Duterte had a pre-recorded message for the show back in 2016 during their 37th anniversary, and he applauded for the show's staying power). Most of all, the show began airing franchised segments that had been carved from its original series in Israel and Japan, another first in the show's history. BOOM! franchised from Keshet International, and Rush 4 Win Philippines from its original series Slippery Stairs produced by Tokyo Broadcasting System. The show not only delivers pure happiness and awesome surprises, but also gives the hosts a time for their acting skills. In the 1981, the show introduced its annual lenten drama specials that are part of the Holy Week observance each year. The tradition revived in 2014 after it halted its production for 7-years.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In 2017, the show began producing Telemovie Specials, including 'Love Is...', a telemovie stars Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza tackles the effects of depression, and in 2018, 'Pamana', a horror-comedy telemovie stars the so-called Pamilya Nunal of Barangay Jokers segment and is directed by Ariel Manalo, Jose's real name, making his first directorial project for TV, and also serves as a kick-off to the 1-year countdown before the 40th Anniversary of the show.
Through the years, Eat Bulaga has become iconic in its segments: Mr. Pogi, That's My Boy, Ikaw at Echo, Banda Rito Banda Roon, Kahit Sino... Pwede!, Birit Queen, Tsuper Star, She's Got the Look, Palengke Queen, Tunog Tao, and many others. In 2007, Juan for All All for Juan, an iconic segment began its run, and it held in various barangays nationwide through the facilities of PLDT providing LIVE remote broadcasts. It originally had a takbuhan segment, but eventually became Sugod Bahay and Bayanihan segments. The show not only gives happiness beyond 1,001 joys, but also giving back to the people and communities. Through the Plastic Ni Juan/Straw Ni Juan project, close to 200 schools were benefitted for plastic chairs made from recycled plastic bottles donated for the entire duration.
These are some of the notable highlights of Eat Bulaga as it will move further on its 4th decade on Philippine TV.
youtube
12, 408 episodes (equivalent to 310-311 episodes a year, and aired LIVE or taped from different studios) and counting... close to 100 segments, with more than PHP 1-Billion were given to thousands of people from all walks of life. And notable awards were given and received by prestigious award-giving bodies and collegiate award-giving bodies as well as recognitions from the PMPC Star Awards for TV as Best Variety Show (Hall of Fame) and from Box Office Entertainment Awards 2016 for being the Highest Record Rating of a Noontime Show of All Time (Local & Global) through the 'Sa Tamang Panahon' TV Special aired on October 24, 2015, it garnered 50.8% in its audience share against 5.4% of It's Showtime and 2% of Movie Max 5.
Indeed, it has gone a long way run for Eat Bulaga. It had so much rivalries especially during their stay at GMA-7, it competed against 8 noontime shows of ABS-CBN (including It's Showtime, which will turn 10 years on the airwaves), but it will remain true to its forever mantra of beyond a thousand and one joys (Isang Libo't Isang Tuwa) to the Philippines and the whole world. And as we move further to its 5th decade by 2029, Eat Bulaga will always be the game-changer of Philippine TV. From the banging of the gong and the theme song as its opening salvo, up to the finale segment/gap before the clock strikes 2:30pm, another day has come for Eat Bulaga & TAPE Inc. for its timeless 40th year of broadcast.
Happy 40th Anniversary to Eat Bulaga! We at KRD is one with the Filipino people in this joyous celebration of Philippine Television's longest-running noontime show and soon, the longest-running TV show in the Philippines (Kapwa Ko Mahal Ko is on record for the longest-running TV program and longest-running public-service program towards its 44th year by December 2019).
(Eat Bulaga! airs weekdays 12:00nn-2:30pm PST/6:00am-8:30am UTC and Saturdays 11:30am-2:30pm PST/5:30am-8:30am UTC from the APT Studios and seen nationwide via satellite on GMA Network and worldwide through YouTube livestream and either in express or delayed airing on GMA Pinoy TV. Selected segments are uploaded on the same day through the show's YouTube channel. You may visit fb.com/EBDabarkads on Facebook, @EatBulaga on Twitter, @EatBulaga1979 on Instagram, and Eat Bulaga! Pinoy repatriates reach 237,363 in October
#PHnews: Pinoy repatriates reach 237,363 in October
MANILA – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) wrapped up its 8th month of coronavirus disease (Covid-19)-related repatriation efforts as it brought home a total of 37,095 overseas Filipinos (OFs) this October.
This, the DFA said, brings the total number of repatriated OFs to 237,363 since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Of the total, 77,326 OFs (32.58 percent) are sea-based while 160,037 (67.42 percent) are land-based.
The repatriates this October came from the following regions: --31,849 or 85.86 percent from the Middle East; --2,716 (7.32 percent) from Asia and the Pacific; --2,406 (6.49 percent) from Europe; --92 (0.25 percent) from Africa; and --32 (0.09 percent) from the Americas.
October’s repatriations were marked by several “firsts” — the mass repatriation of more than 500 Agrostudies students from Israel, the safe return of 92 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) from Benghazi, Libya, and the first-ever repatriation by sea from Indonesia of 40 Filipino fishermen via the BRP Tubbataha.
The DFA also chartered three flights from Jeddah and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia which flew home 920 OFs, including OFWs with chronic medical conditions.
It also facilitated several medical repatriations from Australia, Brazil, French Polynesia, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Norway, Oman, Spain, and the USA.
“As we sustain our repatriation efforts in the last two months of the year, the DFA remains fully committed to bringing home our kababayan, whatever challenges we may face,” Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for Migrant Workers’ Affairs Sarah Lou Arriola said.
The DFA expects to repatriate more than 107,000 Filipinos by year-end. (PR)
