These are some phonebooks by Handshake Studio, a publishing house and design studio in Spain.

Below are some spreads from a book called Cinco Elementos by Cris Bartual. They act as interactive spreads which I find pretty interesting. The book also doesn't appear to contain any text. Conceptually the book explores the four elements - water, earth, fire/light and air in various explicit and abstract forms.

Below are some spread from a book called Wild Place that was copublished with Pomegrante Press, the photos by Daniel Rampulla. Though Rampulla's photographs are not to my personal taste, his technique and layout of the book are more what I looked at. As I gravitate toward b/w photography I do like how the book approaches a very simple layout with similar image ratios throughout.

Another book published by Handshake is B, which was selected as a finalist for the best photobook of the year award by PHotoESPAÑA 2020. This book, like the one above, is very simple with a consistent layout and image ratio.
