It’s Craig Veroni’s Birthday today so there will be a small spam later tonight. It is so small because we didn’t get enough of poor Peter Grodin 😢 If you don’t want to see it then you can blacklist it by using the stargate spam tag.

I'm convinced that the animosity between McKay and Grodin later in season 1 is because they are ex's
I think they started dating early on the expedition, or maybe just sleeping together, but when Rodney was so obviously jealous of John and the Ancient woman in "Sanctuary", Grodin broke up with him
Rodney's animosity comes from him being upset a) to have been dumped and b) at the suggestion he's in love with John Sheppard, which is NOT true

July 16th is the 19th anniversary of the show premiering on the SyFy Channel here in the States. Just a heads up that I'm planning on posting nothing but SGA and I'm even going to attempt to get my creative juices back online and make some new things in celebration of the day. (It's been a while, I admit.)
And, of course, everyone is absolutely invited to join in the fun!

Reluctantly, Sheppard raised his hand. He deliberately didn't look at Sumner, but could sense the man's pleasure at this small display of ignorance. "Ah, I must've missed that in my briefing."
"It's a GDO."
Well, that cleared that up. "What's GDO stand for?"
Grodin hesitated before he answered, glancing around and then leaning in and speaking in a low voice. "Garage Door Opener, but don't tell anyone."
Sheppard grinned. That sounded like something O'Neill had come up with...

You know it‘s time for another Stargate Atlantis-marathon when someone says „Grodin“ on TV and you don‘t make the connection. Or don‘t start sobbing immediately.
