Only for the redhead model to get a surprise when she sees She-Hulk come out of Peter room fixing her hair and clothes with a little skip in her step.

With a little smile, the Jade Giantess leaves Peter apartment leaving a shocked model who cautiously looks into the room…

A tiny ficlet based on a conversation I'm having with @hey-dw right this very moment

She sent me a tiktok of a woman calling a very long nickname for her cat with the caption "Luke trying to get Pen's attention" but then I added my own caption, "Luke when he comes home and sees Penelope adopted a new pet while he was at work." And this was born.

"Pennifer Pennificent Penelope Pennini!" Luke called, nearly doubled over in laughter. "You come here right now!" Luke had taken to calling Penelope unnecessarily lengthy nicknames when he was pretending to be mad at her. He had just returned home from work to discover a cat that definitely had not been there when he left that morning playing on a cat tower that had definitely not been standing in their living room that morning with some toys Luke had definitely never seen before. Roxy and Sergio were curiously observing their new companion, but seemed at ease.

"Penelope," he called out again. "Come out here please?"

"No," came a muffled reply from the bedroom.

Luke knew his girlfriend likely had burrowed herself in blankets and pillows in their bedroom to "hide" in anticipation of his reaction. Not that she ever suspected he'd actually be angry, but hiding added something to the whole experience and story.

Laughing and rolling his eyes a bit, Luke swallowed back another dose of his allergy pills, patted the new kitten on their head, and made his way to the bedroom.

Leaning on the doorframe, Luke smirked at Penelope who was, as he had expected, buried among too many blankets and pillows for two people to need. "So are you going to tell me their name?" Luke asked.

Penelope poked her head out from beneath the blankets and pillows. "Her name is Gertrude. Gertie for short."

Luke smiled. "Adorable."

"I love you," Penelope crooned in her I'm sorry but not really but please don't be mad not that I actually think you will be but I want to say it anyway voice. "You know, some people grow out of their cat allergy due to exposure, so that's all I'm really trying to do here."

"Is that so?" Luke asked, crossing the room with a smirk. "I guess I should thank you for taking care of my health then." He leaned down and placed a gentle kiss on her lips. "I love you too."
