Corkscrew could be an alter that exists to hold onto Dude's weird relationship with gender and sexuality. Dude, as a single person, is a man, identifies as cis if his P4 lines about "WOE IS ME, A CIS WHITE MALE"(sarcastically delivered by Rick and very uwu btw) have anything to say about it. But we can say he's not even cis and get away with it EASILY.

I personally HC Dude as "gender disinterested" aka "probably cis, does it matter?", but I don't think he's opposed to knowing what its like to have the opposite parts in really any respect, including genitals. All of the headmates share the sentiment that the only reason they prefer having a penis is to piss everywhere at any time.

Corkscrew as a headmate probably shifts and morphs a lot when it comes to how he presents himself. And as far as I can tell he does only use masculine pronouns, despite sounding very feminine at times. He generally keeps the same look, the one on the cover of his mod, but sometimes hes got vag, sometimes hes got dick, sometimes he sounds very feminine and other times he sounds as masc as the others. This can happen mid conversation with him, or he can stay the same for days.

No one really asks about this either. Corkscrew probably wouldn't explain himself anyway, he'd think it's funny that no one can figure out his gender.

a disclaimer to start with: I hc the Dudes as being a DID system but i think their dynamic can fly either way

initially P1 and P3 do not get along. P1 doesn't vibe with P3's blasé attitude and the way he'll just go along with whatever anyone asks of him because he just doesn't give a shit, or he thinks it'd be funny if he did.

on the flip side of that, though, is that P1 comes to respect the way that P3 is basically an immovable object. he cannot be shaken or deterred no matter what happens. he'll just deal with it in the most casual can-do attitude known to man -- a stark opposite to P1 encountering hardship which means praising the lord and passing the ammunition

basically they're the unstoppable force + immovable object couple that will absolutely wreck shop if they have to

also, while P3 doesn't feed P1's paranoia and delusions he also doesn't try to dismiss or challenge them. he goes the route of "well, if the government's spying on us I hope they enjoy watching me laugh at dumb reality TV" which works surprisingly well at calming P1 down because he says it with so much confidence. he just feels safer all around with P3 there

P1 comes to rely on P3 for comfort and company, and P3 starts to gravitate towards feeling protective of P1 as he develops a sort of "this one's mine" sentiment.

his protectiveness of P1 manifests in the way that he wants P1 to feel included. he makes sure that he is heard - quit mumbling already! - and that he's not left out of things because of his tendency to withdraw and isolate.

they also kiss and make out, to the everlasting joy of P1's touch-starvation. P3 is the best kisser out of all the Dudes and I will not move from this stance

He doesnt own a mobile. For delusion reasons. But overall his radio and low-tech skills above average.

Dudes got DID in my AU, keep that in mind

When Redux first spawns P1 is too exhausted to do much about it or really be present at all, even within their head. He knows it's bad news as soon as he and P2 lose control of the front, they all do, but he is the only one with the full memories from '97 to put a reason to the fear.

After the massacre in 2017 takes place at Redux's hands, it is a whole fiasco of Dude trying to figure out what happened. Of P2 trying to pick up the pieces again. He's watching the news obsessively to get any information, It's devastating for everyone in the system and Redux just fucking disappears afterward. For a while at least.

I'll get into how they all get along after Redux integrates into their lil group for fun:

P1 finds Redux both a pain in his ass and invaluable. They share the same mindset of "everyone is out to get me so i need to get them first" and Redux is the perfect weapon for this. And I don't just mean murder. P2 is the identity their system likes to present to the masses because he is just easy enough to overlook that they can move through the world fairly silently. Which is what they all really want, but P2 also gets taken advantage of. Badly. Redux does not. This instills confidence in P1, he is both at ease knowing Redux can handle anything, and on edge.... Knowing how redux likes to handle everything.

After the initial whirlwind of figuring out who and what Redux is, P2 thinks Redux is pretty alright. These two get along mostly, though Redux is quick to give P2 shit for rolling with the punches like he does. He bitches about all kinds of things P2 got up to from '00 to '03 when he broke free of the hospital and thought he was the only one in their head. Their ex-wife, the odd jobs that were mostly scams to get his help for free. But because that's just who P2 is and he isn't looking to change, all of Redux's complaints also just roll off of him like everyone else's.

P3 and Redux don't get along for shit. Redux hates that boy, he wants him gone, but P3 isn't all that bothered, just annoyed. There's nothing Redux can actually do to P3, he can't thanos snap him out of the system, so they have to just fuckin deal. P3 thinks Redux is a liability and he spends a not insignificant amount of time talking P1 and P2 out of listening to him. Redux has no mind for consequences, P3 has all of the brain that says "remember when we went to prison and there were severe quincies to our cute lil actions"

P4 flat out ignores Redux most of the time. It's like when you're asking your mom for something she doesn't want to buy you so she just acts like she didn't hear you. However, that doesn't mean Redux is powerless or useless when P4 is fronting. Redux continues to be the driving force that will cut P4 Dude's seemingly boundless patience short, if he is put in a dire enough situation or if Redux is able to worm his way in to affect P4's emotions, Redux can influence him to take the shorter route- aka pointing guns at ppl to make them sign a petition.

First Case of Ceftriaxone-Resistant Multidrug-Resistant Neisseria gonorrhoeae in Singapore

The SGH laboratory has been doing antimicrobial surveillance testing on regular  systematic sample collections of Neisseria gonorrhoeae sent to us from the Department of  Sexually Transmitted Infection Control, National Skin Centre since 1992 (at least). These results are submitted to the World Health Organization Gonococcal Antimicrobial Surveillance Programme (WHO GASP). If you are interested, the reports are freely available at the WHO GASP website (https://www.who.int/reproductivehealth/topics/rtis/gonococcal_resistance/en/).

Local isolates of N. gonorrhoeae are often resistant to penicillin, tetracycline, and ciprofloxacin. The key antibiotic is therefore a third generation cephalosporin like ceftriaxone, with azithromycin thrown in for good measure (https://www.dsc-clinic.sg/Healthcare-Professionals/Books%20and%20Publications/Pages/STI-Management-Guideline-6th-Edition-(2013).aspx).

Ceftriaxone has remained a reliable antibiotic for a surprisingly long time but resistance has finally emerged. The first ceftriaxone-resistant N. gonorrhoeae was reported in Japan in 2011 (Ohnishi M, 2011). This strain named H041 had a ceftriaxone MIC of 2 mg/L. Since then, ceftriaxone-resistant N. gonorrhoeae have been reported in an increasing number of countries. Resistance is due to a mosaic penA allele (i.e. the gene is made up of bits of DNA from different genomes, N. gonorrhoeae can do this because they can acquire DNA from their environment by a process called transformation). This results in an altered penicillin-binding protein with reduced affinity to beta-lactam antibiotics.

A particular clone, named after the original strain FC428 isolated in Japan in 2015 has spread internationally (Lee K, 2019). In 2017, the World Health Organization published a list of bacteria for which new antibiotics are urgently needed. Cephalosporin-resistant N. gonorrhoeae were listed as Priority 2: High.

Our lab diagnosed the first ceftriaxone-resistant N. gonorrhoeae to be isolated in Singapore in early 2018.

The isolate was resistant to ceftriaxone with an MIC of 1 mg/L (left) and an annular radius of 5 mm by the CDS method.

Whole genome sequencing was performed and analysis showed that the strain had the same penA allele as the FC428 clone. Furthermore it belonged to ST13871 (allele profile abcZ 126 adk 39 aro E67 fumC 987 gdh 148 pdhC 153 pgm 65) which is a single locus variant of ST1903 (allele profile abcZ 126 adk 39 aroE 67 fumC 157 gdh 148 pdhC 153 pgm 65), the common multi locus sequence type of the FC428 clone. More details can be found in our paper which has just been published (Ko K, 2019).

As many of the cases of ceftriaxone-resistant N. gonorrhoeae were reported to have been acquired in south-east asia, we can only expect this problem to become worse.
