I have this adorable idea about how Spinner would be as a Boyfriend?

( I feel bad that they treat him as an underrated character. even though he’s a part of the league of villains He deserves more love.🥰)

I’ve never written for Spinner before and he’s not technically on my list of characters I take requests for, but I do agree that he’s underrated and has a lot of potential. I’ve only read a handful of fics about him but they’ve all been very cute.

One thing I notice about Spinner is that he’s actually kind of shy, an introvert for sure. I imagine that, in the beginning, you’d have to do a lot of initiating in the relationship. I also imagine that you two were friends first before you started dating, which makes things feel both more natural but also a little more nerve wracking once you take that next step. Plus, you know what they say about friendships-turned-romantic-relationships that don’t work out…

Spinner’s used to having chill hangouts with you where you two play video games or watch movies or just talk and laugh, only, once you start dating, suddenly there’s kissing and touching and courtship involved? He has a lot of insecurities in a lot of areas— both physically and just from inexperience— and because of this he often finds himself holding back.

But you’ve always been one to hype him up, to assure him it doesn’t matter what other people think— especially strangers— if they form a bad opinion on him just from a single judgmental glance. Because you love him, he’s your best friend, and you wouldn’t change a single thing about him.

You press gentle kisses to his scaly skin. You tell him you like that he feels kind of cold, like it even more that it’s an easy excuse for you to cuddle up with him to help keep him warm, which only makes him blush. It takes a while for him to really believe this is real— that you’re really his girlfriend now— but the more comfortable he becomes with accepting that, yes, this is real, and yes, you really are his girlfriend, the more confident he gets with you.

I also think he’d be a great listener and very supportive. I feel like, among the league, he’s perhaps the most emotionally intelligent, he just happens to keep to himself a lot so only those closest to him know that.

At the end of the day, you both feel incredibly lucky to have each other in your lives. So yeah. I think Spinner would make a great boyfriend.
