So.... Headcanon time.

Bon Bon isn’t actually royalty. She actually comes from a family of humble bakers... and this disgusts her to no end. She was absolutely repulsed by the idea of a mundane and normal life. She sold her sold her soul to the devil to escape that realm of normalcy in order to become The Baroness that we know today, but bringing her sweet creations to life to serve her, including her cake castle. However I’d like to think that Bon Bon did most of the heavy lifting, The Devil just gave her access to alchemic and arcane rituals to breath life into her creations.

However, she can’t find anything about Clyde’s past and who he is and that annoys the shit out of her. She needs to know everything she can about this man but all the leads she possible has about him have either led to no where or have lead to people that are already dead. Trans rights!!

In terms of Clyde he was more inspired by drag culture. He would go to many shows in his youth, when he was a human and that really influenced him in terms of his gender. 

Meanwhile Vlad was influenced by fairytale princes. He used to read about them all the time when he was a child. A brave a strapping young man that selflessly tended to those in need regardless of the price they pay. Princes were graceful, elegant, calm kind and brave in the face of danger. Exactly the kind of man that Vlad wants to be.
