"So you're with Umbrella. I'm guessing you and Carlos know each other pretty well." (Jill, after Apocalypse)
"I was with Umbrella," Rain corrected. She leaned back further on the worn couch in their cheap motel room, scratching at the faint teeth marks hidden by the sleeve of her bomber jacket. "But I quit pretty fuckin' quickly after I realized what their research actually entailed."
It had been about a week since her former employer decided to nuke Raccoon City. Now, because they all knew too much, Rain and the other survivors who made it out alongside her were considered fugitives in their database, meaning they had to lay low.
"Yeah, Oliveira is a good friend of mine. We hang out together. Even though I wasn't in the U.B.C.S., we'd train together. And considerin' what happened to all my other friends, he's the only one I've got left now... from before all this bullshit happened, anyway."
She watched Jill for a moment, studying her.
"This better not turn into an interview or somethin' 'cause I was already over that when Terri was tryin' it."

@outbreaksurvived || Liked for a Starter (Claire & Jill)
"It's been a while, Jill. How have you been?" Claire asked as her brother's work partner entered the TerraSave offices. "I hope my brother isn't annoying you too much with the BSAA stuff."
Claire gestured for Jill to follow her to the elevators. She was still rather new to the company so it would be a few more years until she got her own office. For now, she would have to meet with Jill in a separate conference room - her cubicle was far too open and public for a private conversation.
"So what brings you all the way out here?" She asked as the elevator took them up to the tenth floor. "We've been pretty busy here. TerraSave has been working around the clock to help set up refugee camps and services in places affected by bioterrorism. How has work over at the BSAA been?"

❝ ...did you know there's a- ❞ She turned from the dust covered shelf of books as she spoke, expecting he was farther in the space. Instead, she greeted his gaze directed at her, closer than expected. With a nervous grin, she quickly turned her gaze down at the book she now held, before looking back up, looking at him from underneath her brows. Smile still lingering. ❝ ...yes?❞

"I'm not used to relying on other people." (vampire!leon, RE8 AU)
"So you're more the lone wolf kind of person? A very cute lone wolf..." The redhead giggled, circling him in an almost playful way. "I can be very reliable." Her eldest sister would probably say otherwise. "It all depends if we get along or not."

"Sunglasses at Night." - from Jill during STARS years
It's not the most absurd thing that one of them has cooked up - when left to their own devices the S.T.A.R's are an exceptionally creative bunch. Though it doesn't mean he spares her the low groan of displeasure he bestows anytime that one of them get's the clever idea of sharing it.
"Jill, if you have time to be ridiculous then you have time to finish your work."
And not give him a headache, though he keeps that point to himself.

His apartment felt more cozier than ever that night, it could be the high off a successful mission, or his general enjoyment of returning home and shrugging out of his work clothing in favor of shorts and a t-shirt, something comfortable. Chris knew the real reason though, a semi repaired relationship with Jill meant the world to him. For years there had been a wall between them, both literally and metaphorically, she was out of reach, healing from her trauma on her own terms and not present in his life. It sucked, it had sucked even years prior when she disappeared, going from being around someone every day for so long to that person being gone and then getting them back only to rarely see her. Hollow was his heart whenever Jill was out of reach.
Now though? Here she was in his apartment, not unlike their days in Raccoon City when they'd stay up late and discuss their dreams and hopes and fears. She was back and she was tangible based on their sides being pressed together on the sofa as the adrenaline of their last few days died down and they were left with sore bodies and and an unspoken agreement that he'd cook breakfast in the morning.
"You kicked ass." Chris praises, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Don't think I've seen those sort of moves since you kicked my ass in Africa."

"just be honest with me...do you hate me?" - leon
Bela raised an eyebrow at him. "Hate you? No. Do I like you? Also no. I'd have to say I'm indifferent. I haven't known you long enough to form a personal opinion of you." The eldest Dimitrescu daughter replied matter of fact. "Disappointed not all women swoon over you right away?"

"Fine. You were right. And I was wrong. Happy now?" -Kathy Burton from Barry @outbreaksurvived
She looked at him, a quizzical look on her face. Was he referring to Albert Wesker? That man had everyone fooled, even her and the kids. But she did sometimes get a gut feeling when he was near them. She did point out a few times to him her guts reaction but then chalked it up to being a new mother and Barry being an officer.
"I did not even realized that we were discussing that."

"I certainly know who I'd put in that category." The thought of Méndez and Saddler, along with a few former Umbrella colleagues, had Luis' lighter snapping shut with a sharper click than intended.
But, the first drag on his cigarette, and a sidelong glance to Leon, eased his expression enough for a playful smirk past an exhale of smoke.
"But if you're talking about me, you can just say so."

"you belong to me, with me, underneath me. consensually, of course." - to Claire from Leon
Reassurances || Accepting
Claire shot the man a smirk. He was rather slick when we wanted to be, a real flirt when he tried. Their years of friendship had grown into something more and Claire was happy to know he thought of her so fondly.
"How poetic," she teased him, leaning forward to move his hair out of his eyes for him. "Where'd you get that line from? It's almost as cheesy as some of your other ones."
She pressed a kiss to his cheek. "I love you too, Leon."

⸻ @outbreaksurvived asked: Randy panted, after the police had arrived, gritting his teeth tightly as the medics helped him up onto the stretcher, his shirt soaked in blood from Billy shooting him. He felt his eyelids growing heavy as he fought to hang onto consciousness, as he took Sidney's hand into his own, and squeezed her hand, passing Billy's body, where Sid herself had dropped a bullet into his brainpan. The pain was intense, as his oxygen mask fogged up, hearing faint things about the paramedics needing to get him out of here now. He felt weightless, after he felt his shoes leaving the ground, and his gurney was loaded back into an ambulance, feeling the pinch of an IV being put into his arm, looking to see where Sid went, lifting his head. (sidney & randy)
sidney gave her friend’s hand a light squeeze and watched helplessly as he was wheeled out of the house. the room started spinning. the nightmare was finally over, but the guilt weighed heavily on her. so many people were either dead or getting there because she was too blind to see what billy was from the beginning. the signs were all there and she chose to ignore them. a paramedic started asking if she needed medical attention and before answering no, sidney quickly rushed outside to jump into the ambulance that randy was in. his condition was touch and go and she wanted to make sure he made it through this. “hey.” she held onto his hand again, wiping blood from her forehead. “it’s gonna be okay. randy, i’m – god, i’m so sorry. this is all my fault.”

[smudge] - her lipstick becoming smudged from them kissing
when their lips meet it feels like time has stopped, claire could do without the oxygen if it meant staying like this for as long as possible - but obviously they can't, so she's the first to pull away and gasp for air, hand gripping at leon's arm to keep herself steady.
"that was... something." is all she can breathe out, urgency in the kiss they just shared not being lost on claire though she's still too dizzy to make a comment about it. gaze narrows when she meets leon's, already staring at her. "what?" she inquires curiously, half smile forming on lips but quickly fading when he reaches to clean the smudged lipstick from her lips. "uh, thanks. wouldn't wanna look like a clown when we get out of here."

@outbreaksurvived 'Be honest....did you ever have hope of finding a boyfriend after what happened at the cabin? I mean, you're mega hot and gorgeous...but you came up there alone." (leon x mia)
“Fuck no.” Mia rolled her eyes. “I don’t do boyfriends. It’s usually friends with benefits or just fuck and be done with it. Who wants the messy shit that is a relationship?” Her tone was cold as she spoke. Her own parents ‘love story’ had left a sour taste in her mouth. Her dad bailed when she was 5. Her mom broke down shortly after that. Why put all of your time and energy into someone that was just going to throw it away?
“I didn’t go to the cabin to get clean so that I can come home and settle down. I did it for me. I was literally killing myself every time I was putting a needle in my arm. Having a boyfriend was never on my mind.” Mia sighed. Besides all of that, she never found a decent guy. Most of the men she got involved with were the worst kind. She’s always liked girls too. But all of them were too much drama and not worth anything serious with. Or maybe it was Mia who wasn’t worth anything serious. Either way she always shut down any commitment that was offered.
“Why do you ask? Are you asking to be my boyfriend?”
