“OF COURSE YOU’VE faced hardships, but so have i. they’re just vastly different from your own. you’ll never understand the pressure that comes with being a woman. symbolizing property.” rose unloaded passionately. the thoughts had been on her mind for so long and for whatever reason, jack was the only one she had voiced them to. “marrying for love is overrated. i don’t have the luxury of doing what i want.” marrying cal was the only way to pull her family out of debt. otherwise, she and her mother would be out on the street. if she had to be the sacrificial lamb, so be it.
Jack threw his hands up in his defense. He didn't really think that Rose loved Cal at all like that. It was apparent from how they acted towards each other. "What am I supposed to know about hardship or being forced to do something I don't want to do." He echoed. "I only slept under a bridge before landing the ticket here." Dawson reminded her. "Besides, what I can remember of my parents was their complete and absolute love for each other. You and Cal..." He shook his head at that. "I'm not too certain about that one."

AN AWKWARD LAUGH slipped out as rose scooched by him in the narrow hallway. “did i?” she asked, caught off guard by the response. his honesty was refreshing. “and how did i do that?”
Reply; Jack -> Rose @vntagetee
He was a glutton when it came to wanting the things he knew he would never be able to get, be it food that night or the love or even attention of a woman of substantial class- one he didn't even know at all... one who might be just as closed minded at the other women he had the delight to speak to.
Jack knew he shouldn't had let his curiocity take conrtol of his movements but here he was, peering at the woman who had utterly captivated him just a few moments ago.
"Sorry, miss, didn't mean to." He said with a small chuckle, moving to get out of her way should she wish to bypass him. "Oh.. didn't realize you noticed that... I just... you intrigued me." Jack finally managed to say even as he was mentally hitting himself in the face. 'Because that didn't sound remotely weird, right Dawson?'

NANCY GAVE AN indifferent shrug, tracing the rim of a burning candle with her fingernail. “not everyone cares about dying … but maybe.” the thought of not being able to die and reincarnation did interest her a great deal. though she wasn’t sure which one she’d prefer. “i’d choose chaos over peace any day.”
"No, certainly not but you must admit it is a bit of a kick in the butt. i mean would people do half of the things that they do if they couldn't die?" Michael looks at her and then smirks "Perhaps we would be able to figure out how to bring a bit of peace to the world when everything ends." He chuckles and shakes his head "When things end something new comes from it.'

RACHEL SMILED AT bruce’s soft playfulness, giggling to herself. she made little effort to help him remove the bra. letting him do it was more fun. last but not least, her hands pushed down her underwear. “horray for us.” rachel teased and pulled bruce in for another kiss, naked body flush against his.
Bruce wasn't normally like this... but something about Rachel just brought it out in him, brought this need out of him. She was atop him now, and he wouldn't have asked for anything better. His wife was beautiful- he loved when she let loose with him, when she would let loose with him.
As she unbuttoned her blouse and skirt he worked on his pants, eventually helping her to undo his dress pants so she could see all of her. Once his pants were far down enough he could be rid of them Bruce went to work on her bra, playfully pressing kisses to her exposed skin as his eyes stayed locked with hers.

“TOUCHÉ. MIGHT DEPEND on who you ask. i happen to think we’re one of the more respected news sources, but that’s me.” she would’ve moved onto another paper years ago if that wasn’t the case. vicki sighed, running a hand over her face. “right. okay, well, if you do remember anything and want to share your story, give me a call?” she handed him a business card. “my office and cell are on there.”
"That's not the same thing?" It was said in a jest, but sometimes he wondered if the news bordered on tabloid material. "I'm familiar with your column, yes. Working night shift gives me plenty of time to read the newspaper over... and over." He shifted his weight at the mention of what he remembers. "Well... I'm afraid you've reached a dead end 'cause I don't remember much of anything." He laughed. "Most of my memory is gone, so I won't be much of help. Unless you really want to try to put my brain back together like a jigsaw puzzle."
