I don’t know if those people saying that Jess wouldn’t be a perfect match for Rory because he hates Stars Hollow and the High Society’s lifestyle, are aware of the fact that by saying that are kinda implying that Luke wouldn’t be a perfect match for Lorelai, since he hates the very same things.

have you heard the shipping room podcast's episode with keiko agena (lane)? she ships literati big time! its interesting how most people seem to ship them and they were only a couple for one season. why do you think most people seem to ship them more than any other rory pairing? is it the will they/wont they aspect?

Yes, I did! And Vanessa Marano (April) is Team Literati as well. And yeah, I think the will they/won’t they thing plays a big part in the whole thing, but there’s more than that, imo. I think a lot of people ship them because their relationship was the most interesting. Let's be real here, S1 Dean/Rory was a yawn and Dean has the same personality of a dead plant, and S4/5 Dean/Rory was a complete disaster. Logan/Rory had some interesting bits, especially at the beginning, but then, with the whole cheating thing, and Rory moving in and out... God, no. With Jess, it was entertaining to see them flirting and teasing each other during S2, and even after their break-up, Jess kept on coming back in Rory's life and by S6 he was everything the literati shippers wanted him to be. S6 Jess (and Revival Jess) is the best match for Rory, because he's the only one who didn't put her on a pedestal. He challenged her, he called her out when she needed to. She came back to Yale thanks to Jess. He knows her, and they have always had a strong connection that can't just break and the Show reminded us of it constantly. When Rory was with Dean, she kissed Jess. When she was with Logan, she kissed Jess. When she was with Jess, she never even thought of kissing anyone else, no matter how mad or confused she was with him, she never did such thing. Also, I think people love Literati because Rory was the most herself when she was with him. I didn't like her when she was with Dean the second time, and I didn't like her when she was with Logan either. "This is not you", Jess said.  And I agree. Rory was just Rory when she was with Jess.
