Story:
Feathercloud was always a good warrior. He would do everything he was asked of, went on dawn patrol every morning, gave first pickings to the elders, and most importantly, he did his best to make Orchidsmoke happy.
He knew how awful her life started. He wanted to protect her from ever feeling that pain again. He had thought that nothing could ever go wrong, everything was so perfect … then one morning, instead of waking in his nest, he found himself in Starclan.
He watched everything that transpired after; and Feathercloud was there for both his mate's and his kits' trial. Despite knowing everything that they had done, Feathercloud still loved them with every inch of his being, and only grew to miss them more with every moon he was forced to live without them.
Feathercloud tried to figure out different ways to enter the Dark Forest, even asking other Starclan cats if they could help him; but they all ended up being a major bust since, of course, nobody wants to let him into the Dark Forest. He had never done anything wrong, just a poor, poor father missing his evil mate and kits.
He was kind of hesitanted, even with his determination to see his family again. Feathercloud decided that if they won't let him into the Dark Forest,  then he'll make them chase him out.
Better yet, he'd ruin others’ possible loves while he's at it. Why should they be allowed the chance of happiness that he had stolen from right beneath his paws?
It all started with a young, naive Thunderclan medicine cat named Robinflame. The healer had an unrequited crush on a warrior named Silktwist. Feathercloud appeared to Robinflame in a dream, promising that he would help him get Silktwist. Soon those supportive messages became insistent. It’s okay for Robinflame to love, you only have one life. They just need to try harder. And harder. It’s important Silktwist becomes one with them, Feathercloud, a Starclan warrior, should know. Silktwist is her other half, and if she doesn’t share his feelings, does Robinflame’s own being even matter? She just can’t see it. They need to make her see it.
Robinflame grew awfully obsessed with Silktwist, a horrible infatuation that ended in Robinflame’s death, killed by Silktwist’s brother after the healer murdered Silktwist to ensure that nobody else could have him.
Feathercloud didn't try to hide that he had a major hand in the murder, Robinflame even revealed so in his trial. But strangely enough, the other Starclan cats didn't seem to care!
Feathercloud was confused, and decided that perhaps he needed more proof.
Second was Badgerhear, head over heals for Fawnstep; then Rabbitwhisker with a crush on Quailcry; and on and on it went. The cats began to blur together for Feathercloud, only some sticking out as bizzare, like that one cat he convinced to murder those they thought were in love with their crush, only for their crush to turn out to also be a murderer. Those two became mates after that. Feathercloud still feels weird about it.
The continued uncaringness of Starclan fueled Feathercloud’s increasing desperation.
He coerced Ashfur into becoming worse and worse in his obsession with Squirrelflight (not that he had to do much). And where does Ashfur end up after he was killed? In Starclan! At this point, Feathercloud began to wonder if Starclan were messing with him, or if they were just a bunch of brainless idiots.
He messed with Bumblestripe and Finleap a bit, but didn’t make them do much outside of acting creepy and pushy toward their respective love interests, Dovewing an Twigbrance.
It wasn’t until the incident with Ashfur’s possession did Starclan question allowing him into Starclan, and truly paid attention to Feathercloud’s actions.
At last, Feathercloud would be with Orchidsmoke again. Their kits had since faded, a fact that caused his heart to ache so painfully he thought he would die again, but he could stand it. Because he was finally with his love.

Orchidsmoks

The sudden appearance of Orchidsmoke had not gone unnoticed. Despite being shown time and time again that the rest of the crew meant no harm – most of the main crew, anyways – she'd often kept herself and her kits away from them. Yet now she stood there, having just stumbled into the clearing, eyes wide and her kits nowhere in sight.
Ferndoe had always liked Orchidsmoke, even if how the other molly hissed and spat at her hurt. She understood why, of course – word of a cat killing their own kits spreads fast, just like anything else, and a queen who had only her kits to care for now wouldn't want anybody of that sort near them. Ferndoe could recognize the look in Orchidsmoke's eyes: the wild look of grief, anger, sadness, guilt – she'd seen it in herself in the days before she died, after she killed her kits, in the scarce moments where she could stand to look at herself in streams and puddles.
The words tumbled out of Ferndoe's mouth before she could stop them. "Where are your kits?" And the moment they did, she regretted it instantly. Orchidsmoke's face twisted, and she shook, ears flattening, and all she said in response was; "They're gone." Ferndoe barely made it there in time to hold Orchidsmoke before she collapsed, breathing hard and sobbing harder.
"Who did it?" Jackdawfoot growled, and his eyes burned with the rage only a father could have. "We can kill them back!" Smalljump immediately butted in. "Anybody who kills kits here gets double-killed!" He'd gotten so much braver since his training with Gorseheart, and Ferndoe felt pride swell in her chest before it quickly died, as Orchidsmoke shuddered in her paws.
"They forgot them," the other queen sobbed out, her voice shaking, "how could they forget them? My babies, my sweet little daisies, they–" Orchidsmoke broke off in a pained whine, digging her claws into Ferndoe's pelt. It hurt, but Ferndoe didn't mind. "They're gone. I couldn't do anything. They're gone…" This time, Orchidsmoke's whine became a keening wail, and Ferndoe only held her closer.
"Sshh, sshh… It'll be alright, sweetheart," Ferndoe cooed as gently as she could, gently licking the side of Orchidsmoke's face. "I know how you feel–" "You don't." Orchidsmoke growled, though even that still shook as she pushed Ferndoe off of her. "You don't know how I feel. You don't understand." The black molly bristled in front of her, face still wet with tears, teeth bared and claws digging into the wet mud.
Ferndoe frowned. "I lost my kits too, you know." Orchidsmoke hissed at her, fresh tears rolling down. "Because you killed them. I didn't." Ferndoe's own paws shook, and despite her best efforts, her temper broke. The topic of kits dying was never her strongsuit. "At least I never made them kill anybody!" And that seemed to do Orchidsmoke in as well – she let out a wordless scream of anger as she threw herself at Ferndoe, clawing and biting at her.
Ferndoe clawed and bit her as well, and the two mollies hissed and spat, rolling around in the mud and dirt and blood until one of them kicked the other away. They faced each other, bloodied and crying. "I did what was best for them! What I… What I had thought was best." Ferndoe panted, voice cracking in the middle of her sentence. "I regret what I did everyday. And I know that you- you wanted them to be safe. I understand how you feel."
Orchidsmoke only stared at her, shaking, breathing heavily. Ferndoe continued. "I understand your pain, of losing your kits, and… and knowing you'll never see them again." Ferndoe straightened, making her fur lie flat. "And I understand that right now, all you want to do is hurt everybody and blame yourself for letting this happen, but…" Orchidsmoke's body eased, and she tried to stifle a sob, only to fail.
"You can't blame yourself for this." Ferndoe slowly padded toward Orchidsmoke, letting her tail stay low. "You couldn't control what would happen. Time passes and… sometimes, it takes cats with it too." For a moment, all of the other Dark Forest cats Ferndoe had met in her afterlife went through her mind, the ones who'd since faded, and it was with a twinge of pain and guilt that she realized that she couldn't remember their names or what they looked like.
"And we can't fight it when it happens." Tears rolled down Orchidsmoke's face again, and she whined again. "But I want to. I want it to take me instead, I want them to still be here." Ferndoe smiled as gently as she could as she finally came to a stop in front of Orchidsmoke. "You can't." Orchidsmoke collapsed again, and Ferndoe held her again, letting the other molly bury her face into her chest.
Jackdawfoot stood by Ferndoe, and nuzzled her for a moment, before wrapping his paws around them both. Then there was Smalljump, and Hootpetal, and pretty soon it felt like everybody was there as Orchidsmoke cried her pain out. Occasionally she blubbered something about 'my cloud', how her kits 'never got to see him'.
Ferndoe's wounds stung, and she knew she'd have to lick them soon. But that could wait. Right now, she'd stay there for as long as Orchidsmoke needed until she felt okay again. And when she didn't feel okay? Ferndoe would be there for her again.

.
.
"Feathercloud! Feathercloud!" Feathercloud's ears pricked at the sound of a familiar voice calling his name, and turned to see Orchidsmoke cresting the hill, running toward him. "Orchid!" Feathercloud gasped, watching as she came to a stop in front of him, panting. "What are you doing here?"
"You're supposed to stay in camp." Sandpatch, WindClan's deputy, butted in. "Badgerbrook said that you were sick." Orchidsmoke shook her head, eyes sparkling with joy. "No, no, I'm not sick, I'm–" she turned to Feathercloud, laughing. "Feathercloud, I'm pregnant!"
For a moment, it felt like the world stopped and went silent, and for a heartbeat, everything felt unreal to Feathercloud. Then came the overwhelming happiness and love. "We're going to have kits?" He breathed, and Orchidsmoke nuzzled him. "We are. Badgerbrook said it's likely we'll have three."
Feathercloud could barely imagine it – his and Orchidsmoke's kits, their… their little daisies, playing in camp, growing up, becoming warriors… He couldn't stop the tears that came from his eyes as he wrapped his paws around his mate, holding her close as she cried as well.
"Bless the stars! Congratulations, you two!" Sandpatch purred, soon joined by the other patrol members, Petaldawn and Larkgrass. "Yes, yes, congratulations!" Larkgrass chirped. "It'll be so nice for Sheepfrost's kits to have some friends," Petaldawn purred, "they already keep her paws so busy, I'm sure she won't mind letting them play with yours, Orchidsmoke!"
Orchidsmoke pulled away from Feathercloud, and laughed. "I'm sure she will! Bless her heart, but Pricklekit's such a little troublemaker!" "Should we think of names soon?" Feathercloud asked, licking Orchidsmoke's cheek. She purred, and licked him back. "Badgerbrook said that I still have a moon or two before they're born. We have time, Feather!"
"Yes, and you still have a patrol to finish." Sandpatch added. "You two lovebirds can plan out your kits' lives once he gets back, alright?" Despite his serious sounding tone, Sandpatch's smile was teasing. "Orchidsmoke, are you sure you can make it back on your own?" Orchidsmoke nodded. "Yes, I am," she nuzzled Feathercloud again. "Stay safe, my cloud." Feathercloud nuzzled her back. "I will, my orchid."
.
.
.
.
"No, no, please!" Orchidsmoke's voice broke as she clutched her kits closer to her chest. She could barely make out their forms by now, so transparent that they almost blended in with the ground. "Wispkit, Stormkit, Cinderkit- please! You can't leave me!"
Even as their forms continued to fade, the queen could still make out Wispkit's eyes as he looked up at her. "What's happening, mama?" His voice was still sweet as ever, but weak, and distant. It echoed in her head, and tears seeped into the ground. "Please, don't leave me." Orchidsmoke whispered.
Stormkit's barely-visible paws weakly pressed against her muzzle, and she could just hardly make out a small smile on his face. "Don't cry, mama. Please don't be sad. It's okay." Orchidsmoke choked, nuzzling gently into her kits. "You can't go. Somebody has to still remember you. How could they ever forget you? You're so important to me."
Cinderkit weakly licked her face, purring. "It's okay, mama. You'll still remember us, that's all that matters. We love you." Orchidsmoke sobbed again. "Don't go. You can't leave me. Your- your father, he still needs to see you! Don't you all want to meet him? Please, please don't go."
Only silence met her ears, and Orchidsmoke realized that she could no longer feel the fading fur of her kits.
Throughout the Dark Forest, a long, mournful wailing wound through the trees.
.
.
.
.
Alone on a grassy, starry hill, Feathercloud stood. Gentle winds blew around him, the tall grass rippling in a smooth wave. The scent of prey tickled his nose, but his eyes were focused on one thing only – the distant form of the Dark Forest's edge, where the sky grew dark and the earth became black and ashen.
His heart ached at the thought of Orchidsmoke, and at the thought of their kits. He'd only seen them for a moment, small and huddled against one another as the council decided to send them to the Place of No Stars with their mother. His claws dug into the ground. It wasn't fair. He'd never even learned their names. Had Orchidsmoke used the names they'd come up with together? Had she used the one he liked the most – Cinderkit?
Feathercloud had done everything to try and see them again. He'd begged, pleaded, even threatened anybody who he thought could help him in getting into the Dark Forest, if even for just a moon. All that had gotten him was lectures. Feathercloud couldn't understand – didn't they see the injustice of it all? Banishing a mother, let alone her kits, to the Dark Forest? They'd be torn to bits in there.
Feathercloud shook, and tears spilled from his eyes. None of this was fair. None of this was just. He should've made them send him to the Dark Forest. His face twisted, and he let out an ugly sob, breathing heavily. Feathercloud's belly burned with rage, a low growl rumbling in his throat. If asking wouldn't work, if asking wouldn't let him see his orchid and little daisies, then he would make them put him there.
"My orchid," Feathercloud whispered, determination bubbling in his heart. "I'll see you soon, I promise. No matter how many lives I need to ruin, no matter how many cats I need to kill, I will see you and our little daisies again. I swear." He breathed deep, letting the last of his tears seep into the ground. "I love you, my orchid."
Alone on a hill, Feathercloud stood, waiting for a response that would never come.

ah , y'kno a sad thing i just realized ?? while in windclan tha story of orchidsmoke - the queen who killed others kits for her own - would remain , possibly even become a myth or a boogeyman (mayb even twist her story a bit , turning her in2 a jealous molly who couldn't have kits of her own or sumthin) but her kits ... would probably get phased out at some point. hard to remember three extra names an all that. an eventually it goes from "an evil queen n her three kits" to "an evil queen". an , well , y'kno how spirits in warrior cats fade when they'r forgotten ,,, :]
don’t
don’t you dare

There’s probably a LOT on here that do have refs, but I’m not gonna double-check every single one lol
Feel free to do one if you want! I’m fine with anyone using the Turukhan ref for my characters, you’ll have to ask the character’s owner if they belong to someone else. Link of who’s character belongs to who is on the long post linked on the pinned post.
Sometimes I don’t realize a character has a ref, because a different kind was given than the ychs I usually use, so let me know!

Bristleblaze talking to Orchidsmoke: so that’s two of the Starclan kits sent home, where are the others?
Orchidsmoke: others???
Bristleblaze: yeah, there were three more using me as a slide. They were really little though. I could hardly feel them.

Story:
Her mother perished alongside her brother during the harshest leaf-bare the Clans had witnessed in seasons. The lack of proper food proved too much for the little Sedgekit, and Poppypelt.. well, any food that was caught had to be given to someone, and if it was her or her kits? The answer was easy.
But while Sedgekit and Poppypelt perished, two other litters thrived with hardly a problem. Orchidkit couldn’t think of any difference between them, other than the fact that the other kits knew their fathers.
That couldn’t be it, could it? Did everyone think that not knowing who their father was somehow made Orchidkit and her brothers lesser, or Poppypelt less worthy because her mate didn’t bother sticking around? Did they let her family die?
She could never know for sure, but the suspicion never left. She drew into herself, preferring to do her own thing than to stick around the cats that let her family die or the kits that was apparently more important than her or Sedgekit.
She didn’t change much as an apprentice, other than, for what might have been the first time ever-- gaining a friend that wasn’t her sister.
Featherpaw was not like the others, as cliche as that sounded. He cared about Orchidpaw, unlike the warriors that were happy to let her family die. He took the time to hunt her favourite prey. Bringing food to her. Finally someone viewed her as more important than anyone else in the Clan.
It came to no-one’s surprise when the pair, now known as Orchidsmoke and Feathercloud, became mates. Their lovey-dovey eyes weren’t exactly hard to hide.
Their affection continued to blossom. It was leaf-fall when Orchidsmoke realized that she was carrying kits-- Feathercloud’s kits!
She wouldn’t be alone in the nursery either. Sheepfrost was already nursing kits.
It was a good morning. It was warm, hot even. The birds sang as if celebrating the new to-be kits. Then she felt the cold beside her. But it was still leaf-fall, closing in on leaf-bare. Maybe he got up in the middle of the night to hunt for her. She looked around the den, but didn’t see a mouse, nor a vole or bird.
She asked his name, saying it louder and louder and shaking him harder and harder, but he didn’t respond.
It was happening again.
The terrible deaths of those she loved, the trauma of knowing the Clan had failed her, both having took so long for her to get over.
It was happening again. And she would not let it.
Sneaking out of camp proved difficult in her heavily-round state, especially with three kits she had to shush every two steps. Starclan above, those kits were loud. She thought she would never get Tigerkit to stop screaming, and Flashkit’s crying only seemed to make Tigerkit more scared.
The worst was Pricklekit, who managed to pull on Orchidsmokes heart strings with her begging to be let go, wailing that they wouldn’t tell anyone. Orchidsmoke snapped her neck before she could change her mind.
Amazingly, the dawn patrol (who were unfortunate enough to discover the poor kits) thought that it had been a Starclan-cursed fox. So driven and angered by the past coming back to her, Orchidsmoke had almost forgotten about not getting caught. Or maybe it was ‘pregnancy brain’. Luckily, that was after she silently snuck out of camp to kill them. Her mind was still working then.
Sheepfrost’s mournful cries made Orchidsmoke shrink into her fur, and not just because it was so like her kits.
But the regret dissipated quickly when later that day, Orchidsmoke’s own kits were born: Wispkit, Cinderkit, and Stormkit.
Everything was perfect, even if Sheepfrost did push herself onto Orchidsmoke’s kits one too many times-- it was the least Orchid could allow her. The trio were nearing apprenticeship when Woodpetal announced her pregnancy and had Flutterkit and Thrushkit.
True, her kits were nearly apprentices, and true, leaf-bare was nearing its end. But no mother would risk it.
She had help this time, her kits, eager to please their mother, aiding in coaxing their younger cousins out of the camp. Why not take the chance to use the warrior moves she had taught them?
It was difficult to convince them to use their claws, particularly when it was over, and Stormkit began to cry over the bodies of Thrushkit and Flutterkit. Forgetting about the time-sensitive need to get away from their crime, Orchidsmoke held him close.
But Woodpetal had awoken in the middle of the night, instantly following the kits’ trail the second she saw that they weren’t with her. Seeing her sister, paws bloodied, around the bodies of her kits. It wasn’t hard to put two and two together, and harder less to take her exploding anger out on the littermate she had been so close with for seasons.
Even in the Dark Forest, Orchidsmoke wasn’t finished. Angered by the death she viewed as unjust, she visited her kits in their dreams and managed to convince them to avenge her, to kill Woodpetal. It wasn’t hard, they were young, not fully understanding right from wrong, and their previous murders certainly didn’t help their views.
They piled onto Woodpetal in the nursery. The noise attracted the attention of a poor-sighted warrior. Perhaps they would have lived if he had seen that, for whatever reason, Woodpetal’s attackers were kits. But, alas.
Starclan had been heavily divided. The kits were so close to joining the paradise, but kits or not, they were murderers, and close enough to apprentice age. Besides, what heavenly afterlife allows three young kits and a queen to be in the same territory as their killers?

--submission by @bvuuy-skv11z ! Give them love!
--You’d think you should be worried about kits in hell, but also consider that Poppyhill, Ferndoe, Jackdawfoot, Batroot, Fennelbur, and even Blackdawn miss their own kits so much and would totally dote on the three.
--I thought of giving Feathercloud death by aneurysm! Let me know what you think

====================================================
The ones who only killed very little were mostly the ones that targeted for revenge,
The ones with somewhat higher numbers mostly killed for a cause (e.g Rosefrost was getting rid of the medicine cats in other Clans), but were also among the revenge
Those higher were pretty much just the ones who did it for fun!
=====================================================
Myrtlewing has bragging rights

Orchidsmoke, the three kits, and Marrowpaw belong to @bvuuy-skv11z

So if Alderstar and Myrtlewong were great with kits does that mean they're good with Orcidsmoke's litter?
Yeah, I imagine so!
Alderstar likes kits because he always felt like an outcast, even being the leader's son, and that everyone (but Myrtlewing) only saw him as the result of a loveless union. Kits never judged him. Their only thought is to play, something Alderkit never got to do.
And since they were so close to apprentice age, he might even teach them a few battle moves. They are in the Dark Forest after all, they should at least know how to defend themselves, not everyone is as nice as most of the crew.
Myrtlewing on the other hand, likes them for a less complicated reason. They're cute, funny, and energetic, at least until a certain age (then they become annoying), and since the kit trio stay the same age forever, it's a perfect arrangement.

a random thought: i think that if orchidsmoke's kits had lived 2 adulthood , then their warrior names would'v been stormpelt, cindersedge , an wispcloud . bc orchidsmoke would def be sentimental enough 2 ask the leader to name them after cats she lost in her life (assuming she Also lives)
aww
and Cindersedge rolls off the tongue really well
