Y’know what, sure, I’ll post this here too~ I saw some art the other day that got me thinking about how Shu would react to Mika’s SCR Acanthe outfit, so just wrote a short little thing about it that I wanted to share

Shu tunes him out; of course he knows, he’s crafted at least half of them himself for various units. This one though, for Acanthe…it’s the one thing Mika took full control of, refused to let him see. He’s been well involved in the creation of the standard costume, but Mika felt so strongly about this alternate piece that he couldn’t refuse him.

Shu comes back to the conversation at hand to find Ibara still going on undeterred. If he noticed Shu not paying him attention, he doesn’t mention it. ‘-Now that it’s been completed, Kagehira wanted you to be the first to see it, before the photo shoot, for final approval.’

They arrive at the dressing room and Shu knocks on the door, hearing his partner shuffling about on the other side.

‘Jus’ a minute!’ comes the response, then a few moments later, ‘‘Kay, y’can come in now!’

Shu swings the door open and is immediately struck by the image of Mika, standing there by the window, the sunlight pouring in and illuminating him in a way that’s almost unreal. He freezes in place, eyes widening as he takes in the sight before him. Without thinking, he hears himself speak.

‘èpouse moi.’

Mika cocks his head sideways, confused. ‘What was that?’

For one of the few times in his life, Shu’s at a loss for words. He collects himself after a moment, waving Mika off. ‘It’s nothing.’

(Judging by the shocked look Ibara’s giving Shu, Mika suspects it’s NOT nothing, but doesn’t press)

‘D’ya like it?’

‘You look…’ Exquisite, enthralling, downright ethereal, Shu’s brain supplies. Ibara softly clears his throat, grounding Shu and reminding him they’re not alone. ‘…lovely. It’s a beautiful alternate design, and you wear it wonderfully. You’ve done well, Kagehira. Now then-‘ Shu steps toward Mika, wanting nothing more than to pull him to him and never let go, ‘-Let me see you up close.’

(Aaah, rich fragrance fills my nostrils the second I bite into it! This bakery's croissant is an unmatched perfection, after all...!)

(The bread overseas just can't compare, I can't stand it... Although, some of it is tolerable.)

💜 Summary: Rinne makes sure Shu takes a break from his sewing

Shu was quiet, peaceful. He was sewing small beads and embroidery onto Mademoiselle's newest dress. It matched his and Mika's outfits they wore for their song Acanthe. Graceful, elegant, and artistic.

He had been working for hours, losing track of time. He didn't have anything planned that day, and he hadn't skipped a meal, so he saw nothing wrong with working for four hours straight.

He was in the zone, and he refused to let anything he gave to Mademoiselle be anything less than perfect.

He had classical music he had heard in France playing softly, and the room was quiet other than that. Mika was off at a Pretty 5 meeting, and Kuro was with the karate club, so it was just him in the arts and crafts room.

Shu was too in the zone to notice the door opening, and was only pulled out of his thoughts when a loud voice rang through the room, approaching him.

"Kyahahaha!~ Shu-kun! I've been looking for you!" Rinne grinned, coming over and resting his elbow on Shu's head, much to his disdain.

Shu set the needle and dress down, and pushed Rinne's arm off his head. "Amagi, must you be so loud?"

Rinne put his hands on his hips, grinning. "Why so mean, princess? I thought you would be glad to see me!"

Shu stood up and brushed off his clothes before looking at Rinne. "Don't call me that. Why are you here? Aren't you usually gambling at this time?"

Rinne smiled wide and leaned forward to peck Shu's lips. He made a loud and obnoxious "mwah!" sound as he did, and Shu flicked him. "I decided to spend time with you instead!"

"How lucky I am." Shu sounded sarcastic, but he's happy to spend time with Rinne, even if he wont admit it.

"Yep! You're the luckiest man in the world! Now, i'm sure Mademoiselle wont mind waiting a bit longer for her dress!" Rinne laughed again.

Shu wasn't able to reply, as Rinne scooped him up princess style and ran out of the room.

"Amagi!?" Shu cried out as he held onto Rinne so he didn't get dropped. Despite the two being similar sizes, Rinne carried Shu as if he didn't weigh a thing.

"Don't worry, Shu-kun! I wont drop you!" he said as he carried him back to their dorms.

Rinne kicked open his own door, and Shu was glad that Kanata and Hiyori weren't there to witness him being carried like a stuffed animal.

"Amagi, you're a fiend." Shu said as Rinne set him on his bed and sat next to him.

"You love it, kyahahaha!~" he pulled Shu so they were hip to hip and hugged him, glad that Shu was taking a break.

Shu was glad to spend time resting like this. Even if he was rude to his disaster of a boyfriend, he cared for him a lot.

Hiyori and Kanata returned to see Rinne quietly petting Shu's hair as the artist slept.

Shu was unhappy to see the picture Kanata took the next day.

i dont know if you play jpstars, but when you play the anniv and theme mvs (the one that has a little orange square bubble in the left corner of the music option, theyre in the farthest below among the unit categories n all that) basically the all stars mv, the one thats gonna sing are your team members and the character in your center will be the lead singer! I JUST THINK THATS AWESOME LIKE YOU CAN CHANGE IT WHENEVER AND YOU CAN MAKE ANYONE YOU LIKE SING, in my case I always put mika in the center heheheh my silly little scrunkly!!

theres also this thing abt the surprising thanks!! mv (7th/recent anniv mv) that theyll give the main three in your mv (center and the ones beside them) a special outfit change! there are 4 options that you can pick before the mv, the first being random (among the ones thats gonna be mentioned) and the others being cherry (the outfit stays the same), 777 (changes to the one like in the official/yt mv, super awesome and sparkly) and jackpot! in jackpot i assumed theyre gonna choose a random one, so its basically a gamble.

FUNNY THING MY FIRST TIME PLAYING THE MV AND PICKED RANDOM THEY GAVE ME JACKPOT AJD GAVE ME MY TWO FAVORITE MIKA AND ARASHI FEATURE SCOUT 5* OUTFIT THAT I DONT EVEN HAVE THE CARD OF I WAS RLLY HAPPY, they gave ritsu the 6th anniv uniform (he was wearing the meowsketeer costume LMAO).

afterwards I tried to put shu in the main 3 to see my absolute favorite feature scout outfit that i REALLY want but have never gotten the chance or luck of getting and set it to jackpot, but he kept getting rlly generic and lame ones 💀 i was so distraught like i tried over 5 times and it aint doing shit.

they did gave mika the bunny⭐️puffy uniform two times and thats cute though!! i love him so much.

I imagine that in a self-aware AU they would be even more honored to be put on the team if you played a song like that! Usually all they can do is follow the moves and watch as you play the game. They perk up when you choose one of their own songs because it means they can show you their passion properly and sing just for you! Meanwhile they probably don't enjoy dancing to someone else's song that much. Why choose their song over one of their own?

But with the ones where the voices change? Oh, they're very happy!! You could have chosen anyone else but you put them on the team! These songs don't have an advantage for any particular color or unit members so you had complete free reign when it came to picking the idols you wanted.

So when you chose them over all the others? They're so so happy!! Especially the one you decide to put as the center. You love them the most, don't you? Oh they love you so much too!!!

And omg I didn't know that that was a thing for surprising thanks??? I actually haven't played the song yet so this was completely news to me! That's such a cool feature! I already was impressed with the way the beatmap would change in fusionic stars depending on who you put as center but now we also get outfit changes? And it's even possible to get them to wear outfits you don't even have? That's so cool!!

Imagine if this wasn't actually in the game originally and the characters just put that feature into the game themselves in hopes of impressing you with all the outfits they have to offer. You may not have pulled for their cards but that's okay, they'll just have to show you what you've been missing out on and maybe then you'll reconsider and give them some more attention!

At the same time, maybe the idols try to mess with the wardrobe of the ones you seem to prefer and only give them the really basic outfits you'll find boring. Don't they shine way brighter compared to them?

So direct your gaze their way and forget about those idols that couldn't even be bothered to dress up properly for you!

Meanwhile your favorites in question are upset that someone replaced their clothes without their knowledge. They wanted to show off an outfit you sadly didn't manage to get to cheer you up a bit but now that was so rudely taken away from them.

OKAY! Event grinding! You'll want to have approx 900-1000+ (9000-10,000+ on en i believe?) dia saved up!

Play on whatever's comfiest for you in terms of BP, i recommend around 2-3 until it starts getting unbearable and then popping up to 6 with a 10bp or two in there every now and then. There's apparently some optimal rotation but I've long forgotten it. If you're a masochist like I was the first time i did an event, you can play on 1bp as well since that maximizes your level exp gain.

You'll want to play on whatever song gives you the highest score - aim for anything close to 1mil in terms of power in the song (i can show you where to find that if you don't know :3) playing a song with the members of the unit in a matching element also boosts your score! Also play only that song and the event song. Get comfy (<- guy who still cannot stand walk with your smile and stippling to a small degree) and learn the beatmap - then go listen to something other than the game. trust me. listening to a video essay makes it way more bearable while you play the same song 500 times.

Anyway! Score! You'll want to get 500k points a day. Roughly. You can get more or less, but you want to shoot for a minimum of abt 500k unless you're confident you can catch up another day. I tend to get abt 600-700k a day if i can since that gives me leeway to take a break sometimes.

Get the work outfits from the shop ASAP, its not much but it helps to have them to do the event work! Also keep your BP notifications on and drain it as often as you can - maximize the free BP you can get! I think if you play a little more "relaxed" you aim for abt 300-400k a day, relying primarily on free BP refills, whistles, and the occasional dia spend (that usually costs you abt 800-1000, versus the 1000+ that playing "aggressively" does) there's an exact number but again, i have forgor it.

so ! yeah ! i've gotten 3 event cards - Acanthe Mika, Romancing Cruise Natsume, Coruscate Breeze Leo, and Cafe Tsumugi (i forget the song name lmao) using those techniques, so :3 they work ! events in enstars are agonizing though. don't go for every even 5*. save for your faves or the characters you like best. I'm a IzuRitsuLeo and NatsumugiP. I only grind for Leo, Ritsu, and Natsume cards primarily but i've gone for tsumugi before and regret not getting or the beautiful golden drop izumi so sdkghds but !! yeah !!!

it is agonizing and painful and you will want to throw your phone across the room after playing one song 100+ times but hey. at least you got a shiny new card of your beloved to show off

Disclaimer: I actually have your desktop theme in mind while thinking of stuff for the prev ask ✿ that's why there's so many colors, I'm thinking of the glowy neon symbols you have colored with them <3

- first of all, i'd like to confirm if Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) is also celebrated in your country, since you mentioned that you are Hispanic!! I am unsure if it's okay to use as an aesthetic theme(disclaimer: i'm not hispanic myself,,), so please disregard this suggestion if it is not respectful to the culture !!;;

So about this one, the reason I specifically suggest this for November is because Acanthe outfits could go well with it.

The flowers in both MV and outfits are an excellent element used in the festival, and add to that the ruffles that could never vanish in Valkyrie's aesthetic (i thought of the mexican dresses' ruffles!). The theme will be basically black adorned with colorful festival elements, which I think is so neat ! If their faces could be edited with the festive skull paint, then that's a win~

- Moving on, since you mentioned the Haunted Dolls of Valkyrie... I get reminded that Chiaki also has a jiangshi themed card!! Plus Natsume has an onryo (vengeful spirit) card (tried to do research for other cards) Both have hitodama/onibi (blue ghost wisps) on the cards

2wink and Switch is so Halloween material besides UNDEAD and even with their regular outfits they'd still pass.

Ok tiny discussion on idol games because yeah

So last night I kinda went and read some of the wikis for the Enstars boys and damn, they're both really gay and really sad, like what a bunch of quirky traumatized guys. I thought the Proseka kids were depressed but damn. Also I rethought my CGI ranking for my faves, SIFAS still has some damn good CGI but thinking about it, not that expressive because I mean love live is not that deep. It's either default happy smiley sunshine lesbians or sexy(Karin) but not a lot goes on, they're mostly focused on the outfits. Proseka who I initially thought was good, well it's not bad, but they all kinda move like sticks but the expressions are quite good and I really love the music since I'm a vocaloid kid all in but this is not about music. This all came about because I remembered how much I loved Valkyrie's songs so I watched their MVs and they're amazing, I was particularly struck by Acanthe. I mean they are basically the theatre kids of Enstars and then I read the wikis because (guilty) I've been kinda skipping the story and then I found out what Enstars! is instead of Enstars!! and considering the complexity of the characters I will catch up and read it properly. Going back to the CGI they are so expressive and the movement. There is actual weight and a good kinda realistic extension of the hands, you can see it in the-way hands move too, I was struck by Mika's range of movements in the way he dances, everything is well isolated you will not see clipping with the clothes and they are kinda flowy even if they themselves lack that much movement. Also the expressions in Acanthe, there's a bit of acting in it and you can really feel that anger and longing, it's really well conveyed.

(Edit: this is a bit dated but I still stand by it saying that Enstars right now does have the best CGI out of the games I've played that incorporate it.)
