i wrote a 500 word dynamic poem for neo-twiny jam :-)

i rewrote this in a few different ways with a handful of different drafts before settling on just doing a poem; this originally came from a full branching narrative i've had stewing for a while, and i might come back to it one day. but for now i enjoyed channeling that into this poem, which has also been very influenced by the fact that i've been writing hungry vampires for almost 2 months now.... it was also my first time messing with audio in twine, which ended up being way easier than i expected (i'm sure it helped that i only used one audio sample tho)

faith does contain sexual content, and while not super explicit, it is the main theme of the poem.

#if u read one day hike it's in the similar vein i guess. sad lesbians...lol #this is VERY embarrassing for me i do not write or share poetry very often so. HRNG #i tried to do more of a narrative style first with choices & an abrupt short voice #but i really didnt like it. felt even more embarrassing than this... #i dont think the way i write lends itself to that style & it felt very amateurish/childish #so i set it aside for a while and kept working on my other project in the meantime #so i think when i came back to it i was feeling partially inspired by what i had written for that which made me rewrite it again #sex and food and desire and hunger... you know how it is #not 100% about it all together but i like it more than the first 4 versions lmfao #i did try to do timed lines as well and it just.. didnt hit for me. i love/hate timed lines you have to really get them just right #or else they're just annoying iykwim #also i was surprised i actually hit 500 words i didnt think i was going to #also also this is a poem in that. i wrote it and am calling it a poem...mnfkjdg #anyways. ough #faith #other writing

You’re making me want to take a closer looks at Daniel/Charles. Why is Daniel the only one that consistently make him blush like a school girl? What happened in Vegas? I wanna put them under a microscope. The impact Daniel had/has on young drivers… max, charles, lando. You gotta be a different kinda sexy to influence the collective unconscious like that

re: the second part i think daniel socializes by flirting. or like. his way of socialization resembles flirting in a lot of ways. his excerpts power by making ppl laugh with his stupid goofy jokes. like if all he makes are funny jokes, he'll obviously be able to make ppl laugh. but if he makes stupid & borderline annoying jokes and people still laugh, it can only mean they like him/find him charming. if you think about it literally what's so funny about pieeeeeeeeeeeeere gaslyyyyyyyyyy? do you have pubes yet?? kikiki ayayayay?? etc etc?

anyways. i think this is his very special kind of sexy and bc of this he can very easily strike up rapport with ppl who respond to silly goofy humor. charles is especially this type. as well as max (when it comes to daniel at least) and george. lando is kinda unpredictable (he would laugh at stupid pube jokes but he can also get kinda moody/judgy all of a sudden) so dando is like, they have insane moments but they also have days where they're just 'off'. lewis is not easy to please but he sometimes gets amused with random stuff so you also have dewis. and these basically wrap up all the popular daniel ships on ao3.

on a related note i think danchal is ~deceitfully frustrating~ bc of this. like. on paper they should get on soo well (and they do) but moving beyond the 'daniel loves affection & charles is affectionate vice versa' part things become very difficult very quickly. i don't think daniel's and charles' (fandom) characterizations have very interesting conflicts. there's not a lot to reconcile between them. they struggle in parallel. to me danchal is very sweet and very good looking together and i love them very much but they're not hot iykwim. and weirdly daniel/carlos has more than danchal in the sense of like. daniel loves making ppl laugh and loves making ppl like him. carlos doesn't give either easily. there's a conflict right there. (on the other hand if danchal ever become teammates it's over for everybody else <3)
