Nannerl put her violin case on Nico’s kitchen table, “I got all 24 Caprices, Beet’s Kreutzer sonata, and just for kicks one of Freddie’s etudes because why not?” She counted out each of the pieces on her fingers, “I have absolutely nothing to lose!”

It had been a sheer stroke of luck that Nannerl had still retained her ability to speak some Italian so she could comprehend her girlfriend’s sweet words and return a few back. But German, Nico didn’t know German. So she had full reign of her own vocabulary to get her blushing .

Nannerl gently lifted the heart shaped sunglasses she had lent to Nico off her face. ❝ You really have the most beautiful eyes, I want to see them more-❞  she said warmly in her native tongue and with a gleam in her eye.

Nannerl lifted up the plastic shopping bag with a smile, “I’ve got headbands with little stars, I think some tiaras that say happy new year, a few pointy hats, and party poppers!”

“Nico, I would never hurt you. You could never bring yourself to pick a fight with me in the first place.” 

The large skull behind Nannerl nodded in agreement.

“These aliens seem worse than last time so either get your cute butt over here and help me out or find some cover.”
