Hey! I'm Mickala.

99% of my writing is Steddie, 1% is Buckingham, percentages subject to change with little to no notice.

I co-mod for steddiemicrofic (monthly exact word count challenge with a one-word prompt), and run steddiesongfics (a monthly challenge based on random songs), steddieholidaydrabbles (pop-up prompts throughout the year, daily drabble challenges in December), and strangerthingsocweek (a week-long event centered around original characters in the Stranger Things universe).

Steddie Microfic July 1st-8th Masterlist

As we've quickly found, original plans don't always work out. Our plan was to have one masterlist at the end of every month, but this has already been more popular than we maybe expected (or maybe @wynnyfryd knew this would happen and I'm just generally in awe of the fandom). Since tumblr has tag limits on posts (c'mon tumblr get it together pls), I am going to plan on posting one masterlist a week, then combining the links for them into one post at the end of the month.

I will also do a masterlist of the bonus round for any who participate at the end of the month, but it will just hyperlink to the post since you would have already been tagged with your original post.

This could change in the future depending on the amount of submissions, but I will let you know if/when that happens!

@phoebe-delia is the sweetest darling, if you haven't had the pleasure yet. her gif reaction reblogs have made me smile again and again. her side blog, @drarry-fic-rambling is such a lovely idea - her ask box is open for those folks who want to rec something but maybe don't have a big drarry or rec following - just a lovely way to signal boost! 💛 when I was having a rough day earlier this month, she reached out, out of the blue and the goodness of her heart, just to say hi and be encouraging and supportive. getting hit with that special light of shiny goodness made my whole freakin week.

the list below is made up of longer fics of Phoebe's, but if you're a drarry fan, I highly recommend giving her a follow. she's a master of microfics and there's something so satisfying about getting a concise, perfect story in the middle of a tumblr scroll.

random superlatives and recs:

the first in a series of fics inspired by t swift subs? SIGN ME UP: this is me trying // T // 12K // Drarry // includes the line "'I want to be who I am,' he said, his voice low, 'with the person I’m supposed to be with.'" which just made my heart overflow.

Sectumsempra aftermath rewrite AND Draco learns the Patronus charm, all wrapped up with a lovely bow: Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince // T // 7K // Drarry // I love a wartime rewrite, giving Draco a faster redemption arc and something to fight for. this was a FABULOUS version.

the title is correct, I AM in love: You Are In Love // T // 3K // Drarry // I think my favorite thing about short 5+1 fics are that they're just a series of detailed head-canons from the author. this one is perfect - I particularly loved the detail of Draco burning Lucius' howler and he Ave Harry laughing about how garbled it sounded as it went up in flames.

candy hearts collection - they're all SO good, but if you read nothing else I rec this month, read chapter 14 for the prompt "love letters." absolute brilliance in under 100 words.
