Normally Yuki was able to handle things pretty well since he was the president of the student council. But at the same time there were some days that he had a bit to much too deal with. He had already told these guys to back up off of him, but they didn’t seem to care. He was being backed into a corner and while he normally was able to stand up for himself they were a lot bigger than he was.

So, when Kakeru stepped in his eyes widened as he looked over at his friend. He’s definitely thankful for the other male stepping into help him. Plus at the time the guy was trying to reach out and touch him and Yuki wasn’t comfortable with that. Not with someone he didn’t know. He took a hold of the back of Kakeru’s shirt and kind of hid behind him not wanting the other males to be able to look at him anymore.

7.    𝐅𝐀𝐕𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐄  𝐁𝐎𝐎𝐊:  i haven’t read a new book in a looong time (i really do need to change that lol), but the first that comes to mind is Imaginary Girls by Nova Ren Suma.

11.    𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏𝐈𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍: generally speaking, Airi is actually inspired by Princess Diana! i remember in a podcast i’d listened to that had done a special series about her, someone that knew her had described Diana as someone who would keep an eye out for anoyne that looked the least comfortable/confident in any social situations she was a part of, and she would go over to talk to them and make them feel more at ease/comfortable. i’ve LOVED the idea of writing a character like that since then, so i just infused that into the base character for airi i had from when i’d written her like 6-7 years ago. 

but, for inspiration that like helps me write day-to-day, i try to rewatch furuba or TLOVM or whatever canon universe she may be interacting with at that point in time. if its more original content, then i just listen to my spotify playlists!

12.    𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘  𝐁𝐄𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐃  𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑  𝐔𝐑𝐋: ooh okay i’m really over-the-top with symbolism stuff so this is fun. so the x at the end of my url is essentially symbolic of airi’s escape from her family. and x is often used to designate when something is wrong or incorrect, like on gameshows and whatnot, so the x is over the a in yoshioka, which is also airi’s first initial. i am that annoying symbolism bitch!! the curtains are blue and it means they character is sad!! 

13.   𝐅𝐔𝐍  𝐅𝐀𝐂𝐓: i learned to type when i was really young & taught myself, and the way i type is just very... like ununsual? it’s not like the “proper” way to type with all your fingers in a row from A- L or whatever. i essentially just “split” the keyboard into two halves for each hand to cover and then my fingers go BRRRRRRR

Time is a funny thing, Ai thinks.

As he flips through multiple graphed papers that detail the statistics of swim speeds and growth patterns for his collegiate swim team, Ai finds his mind wandering a little, trying to quantify the passage of time in the same way he might quantify the numbers written down on his clipboard. Notating percentage decreases of swim times next to his teammate’s names, Ai comes to his conclusion:

There is the active passage of time, and the passive. The active is that which naturally occurs; the unstoppable reality of tomorrow. The fading reality of yesterday. And how with the active passage of time, people often learn to grow. Smarter, wiser - faster and stronger for some. Maybe not for Ai, not that he didn’t try. 

And then there is the passive passage of time.

The subtle, almost forlorn sense of something passing you by. A memory, maybe - an old feeling. Something one should remember more vividly, but can’t. For example, he thinks, leaning against the edge of the coach’s desk and tapping his pencil against the clipboard, your time goes down the longer you swim. But you will hardly remember the exact numbers from your first relay race. Not unless they meant a lot to you. 

Somewhere in the distance, Ai thinks he hears the sound of the natatorium door opening and closing. 

He blinks and leans over, trying to peer out the doorway from the coach’s room. Who had come here so late at night?

She moved without thinking. Mamoru was in danger and so she just leapt. Usagi wasn't good at much. She was clumsy, a cry baby, she got bad grades, and couldn't cook. But she could do this. She could protect Mamoru. She could protect the people she loved. The blast came, and she leapt. 

The pain was sharp, and it tasted like iron. You never get used to pain, no matter how many times you endure it. No one ever tells you that. She lies on the ground and stares up at the moon, she hoped in the future, she'd never have to tell Chibiusa about it either. She hoped she would make a world where her daughter never knew pain. The sharp, hot, red kind of pain at least. 

Usagi doesn't remember being in Mamoru's arms but suddenly she is. "It's okay," she said, her voice soft. She hurt, everywhere, but she had been through this kind of pain before. She'd live. "I'm okay," she promised, offering up a smile to him. It was a silly question, he had to know that. "I promised I'd keep you safe," she said. "I meant it."

            an hour passed with the tempo of a few moments. it tended to do that when his thoughts were elsewhere or his own conscious decided to abandon him for new mindsets, new situations, and a subconscious attempt to protect him from the evils of the world. what felt all too normal must have looked unnatural to those around him. 

            with a few forceful blinks, the dissociation subsides and he regains the conversation once more. ❝ —i’m sorry, you were saying something weren’t you. could you repeat that again ? ❞

Everyone was always telling him how he should find a dream. Something that he wanted to do for the rest of his life. But in all reality Haru wasn’t there yet. Heck, even though he loved the water so much he barely wanted to be an actual swimmer. He was only talked into it because of Makoto. So he wasn’t sure how to really feel right now. It was as if the world was against him. That it didn’t want him to find a dream.

He frowns as he looks up at Makoto. “I just. Everyone keeps expecting me to have this all figured out of how I should live my life. But what if I’m just not there yet? I don’t know what I want to do with my life. I’m content with how things are right now.” Haru said as he sighs.

“ When are you. . .  going back? ”  it’s still a somewhat sore subject for haru, rin being so far away all the time. a part of him wonders if the next time he comes back rin will have gone back to hating him. the fear that he’ll just never come back again, though, feels the heaviest --- and for some reason, the most realistic. still he tries to seem unbothered by it all.
