#oh this felt like such a fun throwback for me too writing the Six of Crows characters!

Ok but your soc au was and is absolutely everything I need!! I saw ur draft and was instantly brought back to like 2018 but like in a good way??!? You’re so talented it’s amazing!!
i’m SO GLAD TO HEAR and not sure if this is about the Hunger Games Au or the misfit au but EITHER WAY i am always so so SO glad when people enjoy my extremely niche soc (+ even nicher soc AU) stuff it’s been one of my most consistent interests for five years now.
ALSO! There is MORE of the SOC misfits au and i actually have so many ideas and precise plot points i am going to have to take out a notepad and try to plan this bitch out? Which i NEVER do? But here’s a scene from the opening. Hope you enjoy!
CONTENT WARNING that while one of the biggest divergences i plan to take is that the AU will be far, FAR less sexual than Misfits as a show, taking in mind the younger general target audience and character ages of Six of Crows and respect for the characters, there is a sexual joke in this that felt appropriatedly teenage.
“We were given these powers for a reason. We have to do something useful with them. Use them to help people.” Inej insisted.
“Given these powers by who, then? God?”
“God wouldn’t give them to us as a reward,” Matthias said, suddenly flexing his hands nervously, as if the possibility of his newfound ability to turn things into instant popsicles had in fact been conferred by a far more demonic entity. Looking at Kaz, he thought there was something to that particular theory.
“Everyone shut up with making the fucking community center into some kind of fucking seminary. God’s faker than the blonde hair of the poor girl who delivers off-brand milk to this dump on thursdays, and if there’s any supernatural reason for our powers, it’s that fate decided they’d dealt me a fucked enough hand and might as well give me something with a purpose.”
“And that is?”
“Making myself fabulously, disgustingly rich.”
“Which you plan to do with your ability to inflict plain in what, the fucking community center? None of us have five fucking quid to rub together, except for Posh Boy Here.”
“I don’t have five quid either,” Wylan said quietly, getting mostly drowned up in the arguing.
“Yeah you do,” Jesper said quietly. Wylan almost flinched, unused to being heard in the chaos. “I know the pen you have. Some kind of an old school Lamy that needs fancy ink cartridges. It’s like, ninety at least.”
“You know about Lamy pens? From where?”
“I got a past even the devil would flinch from, merchling. I have seen things. Horrifying things, spine tingling things, th-”
“I’ve seen you before. On Tv i think.”
It was Jesper’s turn to be surprised. “I-”
“There is no fucking way you are going to do that. I’ve been trying for fucking years and I barely make rent.”
“Are you saying you have a sharper acumen for the world of business, Nina dearest?”
“I’m saying I didn’t get fucking arrested for eating pick-n-mix, that’s for fucking sure. Anyway,” Nina said primly. “I agree with Inej. If we have powers we should use them for something.”
“Like what? Fighting the oppressive overarching structures of society that hold us all down?” Kaz’s voice dripped with sarcasm.
“Yes.” Inej said.
“I was thinking more like. I dunno, small things. Loads of hopeless cases around here.” She shrugged. “Maybe we can make some a little less hopeless.”
“That’s going to be really easy, what with the dead body of our probation worker lying around premises. Yes reporter officer sir, we did help that old lady cross the road with her sunday shopping, now come take our interview and take our photos for the Sunday Supplement and yeah, sir, don’t notice the full on bloody corpse lying in the rec room.”
“We do it in secret. Have codenames to mask our identities, like real superheroes do.” Wylan said.
“They organise a cute little meet-and-greet with a real fucking superhero as an extracurricular at Eton, did they now? Give you have so much experience with how real superheroes operate, then.”
Inej’s eyes flashed. It almost looked like a warning, and he filed a mental note that she looked like she might have a little more lightening inside than he’d first judged. Kaz glanced away from her and stared at the wall where they’d hastily moved a big sign for Mommy and Me Musical Magic Monday Maraccas Momzanza!!! (6 months to three years) over what remained of the blood, which, given the deteriorating likely asbestos-ridden condition of this rattrap, would be a goddamn bitch to fully get out of all the cracks and gouges in the wall. After they dealt with the body.
The problem was, he liked the posh twit’s idea. Liked it a lot, far more than he was willing to let on. If there was anything he’d learned in his years in the Dregs, it was that names had power. Images had power, the idea that other people had of you. If they were properly terrified, they stayed the fuck away and did what you told them too. Make something greater than yourself, and have them fear it. That was the closest you came to power in this world.
So Kaz gingerly nodded, levelling his enthusiasm in a slightly bored town. “Yeah, eh. Let’s do that. Codenames. So they don’t know what ours are.”
“You go first, then, genius. What’r you gonna be going as? Cazzo Brekker? Dickhead of the nth degree?”
Kaz thought for a moment. Tapped his gloved fingers against his knee. “Dirtyhands,” he said.
A long, sudden pause. Kaz’s brain worked fast enough to realise the disaster he’d just set off, and he was suddenly, urgently, jealous of Jesper and his powers over town.
The silence was broken by Nina shrieking with laughter, harpy lad and almost doubled over.
“Dirtyhands? You might as well call yourself Filthy Fingers. Or better yet, Massive Fucking Wanker.”
“You could abbreviate that to MFW,” Jesper added helpfully. “In case Massive Fucking Wanker was too long to fit on the superhero cape or something.”
Kaz glanced around. Inej had disappeared, although rather that was using her power or because she’d always been good at doing that even before the electrical storm made them all freaks from one of Wylan’s comics, and Matthias was doing something that looked like praying fervently, hands clasped and searching strips of the grey sky through the cracks in the skylights, looking very much like a man caught in one of the lower circles of hell and searching desperately for deliverance.
“Very funny. I have a suggestion for you lot, then. It’s called D-E-A-”
He was well into launching himself at both Nina and Jesper, certain that if a fight broke out he at the very least wouldn’t be the looser, when he rammed into something small but very solid.
“What the-”
Some very sharp fingernails pinched his ears. Bold move, considering his aforementioned touch-me-and-feel-excruciating-pain powers. It hurt.
“Where-?”
Inej didn’t rematerialise. Jesper jumped up, though, as if someone had sharply stepped on his foot. “Oww, mate.” He reached out, swatted air. Nina tipped sideways suddenly, rubbing at her scalp. “Shit, did you have to yank at my hair that hard?”
She was fast. Tricky, tricky. Kaz mentally reassessed his current pecking order of bullshit-powers-by-order-of-danger
“If we don’t stop fighting, we’re all end up in prison again. Police’ll be here soon, and we need to make alibis. They’ll cross examine us and we need to make sure the stories match, because there’s no way they’ll trust any young offenders on our own. And we have to do something with the body before putrefication really sets in and the smell comes.”
Inej didn’t rematerialise. A veiled threat of another pinch, Kaz realised. He almost had to smile. Nina and Jesper both looked a little gobsmacked, and it dawned on Kaz that that was by far the longest string of words they’d heard Inej say at once.
“Fine.” He thought he saw a dark ripple of her hair, but it was nothing more than a mirage- a tease, he would have said, if it were Nina-” and she was gone again. “We will have veiled identities, but we will refer to each other exclusively by our true, God-given birth names. Kaz, Jes, Nina, Inej, Posh Boy, and Barry.”
“That’s not my name,” Matthias said.
“It’s fine, man,” Jesper says. “You can go by your middle name instead. Kaz does, which is why he’s referred to by the diminutive form of Kazzmatazz, instead of his first name, Demon.”
The clock on the wall hit five. Nina immediately started stripping off the required orange uniform jumpsuit, giving Matthias a good look at her cleavage.
“Don’t play with the poor boy,” Nina said. “He might almost believe we’ve all been possessed. Now has anyone seen where I left my bus ticket, lipgloss, and the half a hazelnut kitkat i saved from lunch?”
The wind, the unknowing observer would think, blew the ticket, tube of gloss, and wrapper, emptied, right back in Nina’s face.

Thank you for the tag @maderilien :D
How many works do you have on AO3?
32!
What’s your total AO3 word count?
1,355,735........ BRO
How many fandoms have you written for and what are they?
Six so far! Most of them are for The Hobbit ofc, followed by The Untamed, then Overwatch, and I've got one each for Legend of Korra, Word of Honor, and a stray unfinished one for Star Wars OTL
What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Nothing Gold Can Stay is first, then First Impressions (still surprised by the reception that one got over the years lol), you lick your lips (you taste like years of being alone) (god what a throwback), Love-In-Idleness my beloved, and For The Ages Of A Day
Do you respond to comments, why or why not?
Oh my god I try my damnedest, and I respond to everything the first couple of days after a fic or a chapter is published, and then I get sort of overwhelmed and don't respond to the later ones........ But god do I love them all and keep coming back to them all the time <3
What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
I legitimately don't think I'm capable of writing an angsty ending at this point (even though I often dream of it lol), but judging by readers' reactions, probably The Ghost and Mr Baggins
Do you write crossovers? If so what is the craziest one you’ve written?
I've never written a crossover in my life, but I DO love me a good wildly-divorced-from-original-reality-and-setting AU
Have you ever received hate on a fic?
Man fortunately not that I can recall.
Do you write smut? If so what kind?
I write it kinda rarely, when the fancy strikes me, and as to what... kind? I mean, the explicit kind? And happy, I guess, always happy.
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Fortunately not
Have you ever had a fic translated?
Yes, so many AMAZING people graced my stories with their incredibly hard work, namely NGCS and Love-In-Idleness, it's been a great honor every time
Have you ever co-written a fic before?
nope but I'm definitely not against the idea!
What’s your all time favourite ship?
Boy this is a difficult question. Bagginshield has been with me the longest, and I produced the most works for it, but I'd be lying if I said I still had the same amount of passion for it now as I did years ago... It's an ever-shifting thing honestly, but just for the sheer amount of inspiration it provided me with, Bagginshield has got to be it, followed now by Wangxian for sure.
What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
Thinking about my WIPs makes me stare at a wall and question myself a lot, so I don't tend to do that often. The ones I really want to finish, I know I'm capable of finishing, if that makes sense - I'm not gonna cross any of them off just yet.
What are your writing strengths?
Like I once said, idiots to lovers. Definitely introspection, people have a good long think about their feelings lol. Also characterization, and absolutely taking the source material, and making the characters/stories believable in a wildly different AU. That's like my favorite pastime. I really enjoy writing dialogues, too.
What are your writing weaknesses?
Action scenes lmao, and moving the story along, not getting stuck on descriptions, and the aforementioned introspection. Actually just complicated plots in general.
What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
Hm, well, in the fandom I'm currently in, it's kind of par for the course, but I always make doubly, triply sure I'm not fucking anything up. I also had a long stint with Khuzdul back in my NGCS days, and that was immense fun, just sort of coming up with a fictional language on the fly... Altogether I'm not against it.
What was the first fandom you wrote for?
HAHAHA definitely Naruto and/or Discworld, back when I would fill notebook after massive, thick notebook with scribbled short scene after scene. So much fun, still have some of the notebooks.
What’s your favourite fic you’ve written?
Man probably Love-In-Idleness, that always comes up when someone asks me this. I just had so much unadulterated FUN with that one, and it felt like such a breath of fresh air after finishing the juggernaut that was NGCS.

Harry Styles is an incredible live performer, always bringing infectious energy, captivating charm, and swoon-worthy vocals to the stage. I witnessed this trifecta of talent firsthand at iHeartRadio's Secret Session in New York City, where Styles blessed a group of lucky fans with an intimate interview and concert on Feb. 29. The 26-year-old singer first sat down with Tanya Rad from On Air With Ryan Seacrest to chat about his second studio album, Fine Line, and revealed why he chose "Golden" as the record's first song and how he's prioritizing his own happiness at this stage in his career.
Styles capped off the appearance by treating the crowd to six songs including "Adore You," "Watermelon Sugar," and "Falling," as well as two throwbacks from his 2017 album, "Kiwi" and "Sign of the Times." Keep reading for all the standout quotes from his onstage Q&A, each paired with photos from the iHeartRadio event. And if you're still craving more Styles content, get the scoop on his other secret NYC concert that took place on Feb. 28. He sure knows how to stay busy!
On How He Played by His Own Damn Rules While Making Fine Line
"At the start of this album process, I had a little bit of expectation of what I thought people wanted me to do, and I'd kinda try and tick some boxes. I can obviously only speak from personal experience, [but] I just found that every time I try and tick boxes, I make my least favorite music. I think just kind of accepting you have to make the kind of album you want to make in the moment and not be like, 'OK, let me make a big commercial album and in 10 years make the album I wanna make.' It'd never make me happy. I don't think it'd make anyone who listens to it happy. And I don't think that's who I really want to be."
On the "Biggest Compliment" a Fan Can Give Him
"It's amazing if people can relate to your music. I'm just a fan of music. I don't think I operate on any kind of higher level of listening than anybody else. I just love music, and I make what excites me, and I think if somebody else can relate to it and take something from it, then that's the biggest compliment they can give me."
On the Significance of "Golden" and Why It's the First Song on Fine Line
"'Golden' was once we really started writing the album. We wrote it on day two of when we'd started, so I felt really excited about it. We would listen to it, and we'd dance around the studio and be like, 'I love this! I don't know if it's good, I don't know if it's bad, but we love it.' I would drive into work every day, and I would listen to it most days on the way in, so it became the soundtrack to the making of the rest of the album. We were driving down by the ocean, and when I listen to it now, it feels like I’m driving by the ocean.”
When I would come to play people the new music who hadn't heard anything before the singles or anything like that, it was always the first song that I played for people. I realized that carried quite a lot of weight. I think it's a very good representation of where we've moved from the first record. It's one of my favorites, and it feels quite sunny. It just set the tone, and I just wanted it to be how [the album] opened up."
On Why He Rarely Explains the Meaning Behind Song Lyrics
"I tend not to explain some things too much because I think it's important to allow it to mean whatever it means to other people. There are songs that I've loved in my life where I find out that it's about something else, and then I'm almost like, 'I wish I didn't know that.'"
On the Vulnerability of Fine Line
"When I start making stuff, I don't think about it coming out. I don't think about album release date, first single, second single. I don't really think about it. I start off writing it for me and for you [the audience]. I start off writing it for myself, and I just find that I make more honest music that way.
I think there are a lot of parts of [Fine Line] that are vulnerable and emotional and I guess sad at times. But what I love about the album so much is that even in the saddest moments, there's quite a lot of optimism and there's moments of joy."
On Why He's Focusing on What Makes Him Happy
"I'm very old now! I think you just reevaluate things. And I think that happens at several different points in your life. I don't think it will be the last time that I reevaluate what's important to me. I think it happens to everyone in different times of your life where you think you want something, and you get it and you go, 'Oh, that didn't make me as happy as I thought it was going to make me.'
And then, you kind of look for different things and I guess I just put a lot more emphasis on trying to find the balance and trying to do what makes me happy rather than trying to work out what I'm supposed to be doing. So that's been great."

The 100 - 6x04: The face behind the glass review and predictions.
Tumblr media
Before we get into the specifics, I’m a little scared of the rehashing of old narratives that comes to surface in this episode especially. Not sure how I feel about all the parallels. In my trailer analysis, I did point out the fact that it does not seem that much different than previous seasons: There are no good guys, we kill them so that we can live and blah, blah, blah. Even so, I’m interested and invested to see what types of unique twists and turns this story will throw at us. Jason Rothenberg, you better not disappoint.
The face behind the glass written by Charmaine DeGrate and directed by Tim Scanlan, who is known for directing the sex scenes on the show. Dead giveaway. Not my favorite so far, but a lot of things happened that has me excited for the rest of the season.
Is there a better way to open an episode than Diyoza joking with her unborn child? It’s no secret she’s in my top 5 favorite characters and keeps climbing the charts. So, the Sanctumites offer her a deal: Save Rose and we’ll take care of your baby, which she takes, to offer her child a life and it’s something to do other than trying to survive. But in known Diyoza fashion on condition of a gun and a bike.
Then, Simone begs Russel to cancel naming day on account of spies inside the compund. They’ve already been deprived of three primes (Kaylee’s family) and Rose. Pushing them towards extinction at an alarming rate and it once again becomes obvious that Clarke will become Josephine, yet I’m now intrigued by Madi. The cultish way in which these people worship the primes are uncanny and wayward. But then again all cults are weird. I don’t believe in the divinity of the primes either.
Russel disagrees by saying: “If we cancel, Gabriel wins.” Last week I thought that Gabriel will be brought back to life in one of the hosts, but I think there’s something else going on there. It’s clear now that Gabriel and his children are against the revival of the primes, bringing about the question: How has he survived all these years?
Priya and Jordan share some sweet intimate moments where he tells her he feels guilty for becoming another taunting face behind the glass. Which was necessary to show he’s still grieving his parents even while having fun. Her referral to this line later before she becomes a prime is crucial though, meaning there might be a possibility for her to come back.
Tumblr media
The four pillars of Sanctum: Repent, Renew, Rejoice, Rebirth. Accentuating rebirth very literally. We know from episode two that Russel Lightbourne does not believe in God, but by killing a person for no reason other than so that someone you love can live is playing god in the cruelest way imaginable.
Embracing their traditions, Clarke decides to repent for her sins. She tries to apologize to Raven who won’t have any of it and compares her to Octavia. For me, the biggest difference between Clarke and Octavia is the remorse she feels. She knows what she did was wrong and she’s trying to make up for it. Therefore she deserves forgiveness. I wonder how Raven will react to Clarke’s death?
Gabriel? Who the f#@k are Gabriel and his children?
As I said earlier, the old man is definitely Gabriel. We don’t know if he’s dead or alive. It can’t be that he lives within a computer because then his existence would be known.
My guess is the split within Sanctum came recently (using the term loosely). Gabriel had to be one of the 12 primes since he came with them and his blood was also altered. Meaning his conscience was also transferred into a host. He was against the hostile takeover of innocent bodies and decided to rebel by saving the hosts.
If this happened sixty odd years ago, Gabriel could still be alive somewhere (perhaps in hiding due to a failed conviction) and old. Very, very old. I’m not sure whether his followers are literally his children or just those that have sided with him, but either way, they want to continue his cause. Which they’ve clearly lost sight of. Save the hosts, don’t kill them.
Or this anomaly they mentioned somehow extends life, only it’s dangerous. Who knows, I’m a bit boggled here.
Xavier purposefully left his bag out to save Octavia and Rose. I’m sure I’ve seen this before. Right, Lincoln kidnapped her and saved her simultaneously. I know this is such a retelling of their story, but I loved Linctavia and thus cannot help boarding this ship.
Another season one throwback to Bellamy and Charlotte. But I think I’ve voiced my concerns about these. Poor, poor Rose. That scene was heartbreaking.
Boy oh boy Bellarke and their romances
Tumblr media
Clarke apologizes to Bellamy and states her reasons even though Bellamy has already forgiven her because he would be a hypocrite not to. And they share what has now become known as a Bellarke hug since it’s all these idiots can ever do.
Clarke hooks up with Cillian (who turns out to be the spy) within two seconds, now I’m not sure about you, but I rolled my eyes. Oh, cute, Clarke has yet another lover added to her long list of previous ones. Finn, Niyalah, Lexa, and Bellamy always on the side. I’m glad it’s a guy though to showcase that she is indeed bisexual and not gay. Bisexuality really needs some appreciation.
No one can tell if Bellamy was only upset with the party as he stated or Clarke having fun with some random dude. Most will say it’s the former and it probably is, yet it’s filmed in a different way. Why did they put him in this scene in the first place?
When he sees her having fun, he smiles, he’s happy for her. Then the doctor’s all over her and all of a sudden his attitude changes. I don’t want to read too much into it since I had to watch it like six times to draw this conclusion.
He’s hurt and grieving over a lot of things, especially his sister and then he witnesses his “platonic soulmate” in the arms of another man. She’s always known exactly how to get him to open up, what to say to make him feel better and even though he knows he’s not allowed to feel that way, he’s jealous, he realizes he still needs her.
And that spurs the single tear and his fight with Echo. He even spares another glance over his shoulder when she asks what’s wrong. Or was that just random? Because once he’s calmed down he apologizes to his girlfriend and comforts her when she tells him her backstory after six years of being lied to.
I felt for Echo, her life wasn’t easy, but none of their lives were. Honestly, I just can’t find Becho’s connection. Even though I try, because at some point we have to accept the fact that this is possibly a long term pairing. I’ve made my peace, I’ll ignore them. Give Echo an individual storyline and I might just start liking her more.
A Red Queen and a terrorist walk into a bar
Tumblr media
First of all, I have to show my gratitude for the glimpses of Octavia’s humanity. She’s in there and she’s slowly swimming to the top. That thorned rose is blossoming once again, thank you, Bellamy, for your part in this.
This is a weapon of mass destruction if I’ve ever seen one. A pregnant terrorist and a former evil queen. Yes, this is what I’m talking about. I might just write fanfiction about it.
“The devils of earth become the heroes of Sanctum.” They’re set out to kill Gabriel, but I doubt that will occur. From all I’ve heard, he’s good. Enhanced by Cillian’s words: “There are two sides to every story.” So, they will most likely join forces against Sanctum in some way. Hopefully not blowing up another planet. Please do something interesting here.
Josephine!Clarke
Okay, my first take on Josephine Ada Lightbourne was very wrong. To me, she seemed smart, funny and confident. Now she looks like the devil in disguise (No pun intended.)
Tumblr media
Reverting back to my earlier assumption about Delilah/Priya. It’s evident that Delilah no longer exists within her body which sets Jordan on edge. But that small statement along with knowing the mind of the host is erased but the brain is unharmed propels me to believe they can come back. Somehow. Hopefully.
Simone says, “I’ll prep for insertion, you clear the host.” Did that mean Clarke’s mind might be stored in some device too? They must have a way of extracting consciousness to transfer it to a host. Thus Clarke Griffin’s mind will be backed up somewhere as well. Not for too long before it’s disposed of, I’m sure.
Come on Madi (Lexa and Becca), Bellamy, Abby, Jordan, Raven, Murphy. You have to figure this out and bring her back before its too late. I refuse to believe Princess Clarke is dead. If she is, my mind is blown in a bullet to the brain kind of way.
One scenario is that Josephine will have to give forth a ruse of being Clarke and willingly accept the “honor” of becoming a prime. She’s been indulging in all their other conventions, why not this one, right? But Jordan now knows what happened to Delilah, so they will try to stop her. Most likely Madi or Bellamy will notice a difference within her.
The dangerous alternative will be for Josephine to simply embrace her new host by saying they brought her to life after Cillian murdered her. Sanctumites, you have no idea how much Clarke’s people care about her. This might even sway those currently mad at her for an investigation.
A few last things
Russel does feel bad about what he’s doing, but so did Dante Wallace.
Raven and Wick (Sorry the other mechanic) what is that? Five minutes after Shaw’s death. Or was it only the motorcycle. Why does this show give us seedlings of relationships that will have no chance of growing?
Is Shadeheda Cadogen and what will he bring to the table?
Madi tasting her first cookie was awesome!
I missed Murphy this episode. His presence is required at all times.
What will happen to Niylah on the ship? And when will Indra make her appearance?
Will Russel and Simone find out that Abby knows how to create nightblood?
Let me know what you think.
