dsmp fic authors I am begging you, when you’re trying to describe characters that have animal legs, their knees are not backwards, that’s just not what anatomy is at all, please I’m begging you, the thing you think is their knee is actually their ankle, their knee is still there and facing forward it’s just different proportions, if I have to read about another character having backwards knees I’m going to combust please I’m on my hands and knees they aren’t backwards they just aren’t backwards

#dsmp #just finished yet another fic that did this and I can’t handle it anymore #so BASIC ANATOMY LESSON FOR EVERYBODY #if the legs you’re going for have paws usually it is called digitigrade #and if it has hooves it is unguligrade #and in both of those cases their knees are not backwards they just have long feet #they still have knees they are just much smaller and higher up in the leg than humans have them #what looks like backwards knees is actually more like their ankle #admittedly this is all very much made up creatures we’re dealing with #like enderman aren’t really real so technically they don’t follow earthly anatomy #but I know for a fact most of these have animal legs in mind when they’re describing these #and I can’t stand to see this misconception go on a second longer #oh also I forgot to mention but bird legs are also digitigrade #so they also do not have backwards knees #in fact nothing on earth has backwards knees
