So Wren's wings has a lot of symbolism to it, on the one hand it cloud represent her finally getting her freedom after being terrorized all these years and she can finally allow herself to truly love and be loved, by Oak and her human family.

it also remained me of of the greek myth of Eros and Psyche, when Psyche gets wings when she pass Aphrodites trials and is reunited with Eros,

Also... I cant help but imagine that Oak will probably kiss her wings in the sweetest way possible next time there intimate together 💋🦋

Everyone's like "Suren better watchout for Jude"

I know she better watch out (I love Jude with all my life at stake) but baby girl is the annihilation of magic. She removed the CURSE Jude placed on the soldiers, plus even when her powers were not predominantly active, she removed Hyacinthe's curse single-handedly. Not to mention she shouted "I want you dead" and Lady Nore burst like a freaking balloon.

Jude is mortally strong, but Suren is magically equal to Cardan's even more since she has undiluted magic whereas cardan has the magic which was passed down from Clovis.

So basically baby girl is strong as hell. Plus I don't think she'll keep Oak forever in chains. She's angry now, and if she intended to keep him in chains she wouldn't have visited him so often.

I just loved how they served childhood friends to enemies(but only because they were pitted on different sides by fate) to reluctant allies to almost lovers to enemies again.

They are OTP and people are forgetting Cardan and Jude played this level unhinged game too, and Jude might not have used bridle on Cardan, but still controlled in the Wicked King. So before being wroth on our little feral baby girl, just consider this : THE ANGST IN THE SECOND BOOK >>>>>

I just finished The Prisoner's Thorne and I gotta say I really loved it. Oak and Wren where incredibly adorable and, oh the lounging between these two!! I like how they grow to understand what love truely is and I'm so relieved they got a happy ending, I hope we see more of them in future books but if not, thats what fanfic is for. I really like how Holly Black wrote both character's backstories and got into there psychology and that they can stand on there own as character's along with the other's.

I also like Tiernan and Hyacinthe romance, as well as the friendship between Oak and Trienan which made me laugh out loud so many times. And the Jude and Cardan moments where great too.

The romance, the sceaming, the magic and the family drama!! What's not to love.

Holly black writes some of my favorite fea books and Im so glad to have The Stolen Hier and The Prisoner's Thorne on my bookshelf, the way she writes is so beautifully enchanting and never fails to suck me into the story. 🍂❄🦊🐦

i think i saw someone say this but i wanted to add to it.

Wren is not going to go down with a fight no matter how highly you think of Jude. She made a more powerful choice when she chose to our Oak under the Bridle. She isn’t swayed by love or anything except the desperation to survive.

Unlike Jude, Wren’s morals are gone. She’s too fearful of kindness as she believes it’ll be taken from her just as quick as it’s given. So she intends to make herself worse than imaginable to hide herself. We know this because during the end of TSH, even as people are cheering, she still isn’t fully happy.

Jude may be driven to save her brother and has power as the high queen but Wren has all the opposing power to the high kingdom. (she literally took apart lady nore with her words commanding.)

Not only the fact that Wren has more power is all however. Wren has a group of people who will follow her willingly. Those who were transformed back by her genuinely look up to her as a savior whereas in Jurdan’s kingdom, rumors and the way they only like Jude due to the fact she saved Cardan isn’t going to cut it. I’m willing to bet, Wren is going to have so many spies who’ll report back to her for the sake of betraying Jude. She’s high queen but another queen who is actually of the folk is going to seem more appealing.

I hope they all get along in the end but, i truly do not believe Jude could just overpower her instantly 🙏🙏
