Before the fight everyone doomposting about Etoiles accidentally killing Pomme was bad enough, the thought that Etoiles would be confident it’s the code and then it’s not - but now post fight, it feels so much worse, because god even after every bit of evidence pointing to Pomme being fake, being a code, Etoiles still couldn’t go for the kill. He only went for it after exhausting every single way he knew to make sure, their code, the health potions, the tp for all the eggs - and even then he was sick over it. Even then he couldn’t swing unless Pomme swung first. Even then he revived it twice.

The thought of it being accidental is bad. The thought of it being on purpose because there was truly nothing else to do? So much worse
