the stars shimmered in the dark sky as the hesitant breeze rushed through your hair. you sat in front of a twinkling-under-the-shimmering-sky lake, just relishing in the feeling that the wind brought you. you ran your fingers across the cold surface of the landscape, wishing to feel her instead. your eyes sullen with exhaustion. after all, she had been running through your veins like the most venomous poison had been injected inside of you.

“y/n?” and your entire world seemed to still.

aeri whispered your name as if she was afraid of hearing her own voice quiver. she walked up to where you were sitting, the cold ground losing its demeanor. every step she took towards you, burnt a fire inside of you that only she could put out. she sat down beside you, looking into your eyes like a melody had perked her towards you. you raised your head up and looked into her hypnotic eyes, wishing to remain in them forever.

“what are you doing out here y/n? it’s so cold out here and you aren’t even wearing a jacket.” aeri scolded you but stopped when she realized you were too lost in your own thoughts, oblivious to the fact that you were, in fact, lost in the blue dusk that carved her porcelain skin.

“y/n? what’s going on with you? have you been crying?” aeri noticed the tears caving in your eyes as you quickly tried to get up but she was too strong and pulled you into her arms. the arms that provided you with the comfort even a warm blanket could never bring. like a warm cup of coffee in the winter time, her arms held you close.

you pulled back, not being able to keep your emotions in. you were, apparently, in love with your best friend. but what could you do about it? you were surrounded by her warmth; a warmth you wished wasn’t only platonic. your mind pooled with the thoughts of running away from her and never contacting her again. your heart on the other hand, hoped you could stay in this moment.

“i’m so sorry aeri..i just don’t know what to do anymore. i’m tired. what i want, probably doesn’t even want me back and i just…” you broke down like a dam had been broken while aeri only continued to tighten her hold on you, whispering how she loves you. who was going to tell her that you were so desperately in love with her? the way she ran her hands through your hair when you were stressed out or the way she would wrap herself around you whenever you were working on an assignment. all of that was too much to just be friends.

“what are you talking about y/n?” aeri pulled back to look into your eyes, her heart breaking with every tear that fell out of your eyes. perhaps, it was her time to say the truth but she waited, just like every time.

“aeri… i..i know this is going to change our friendship..there’s no doubt about this…but i’m in love with you and i don’t know how much longer–” aeri cut you off as her placed her soft and sweet lips on yours. sparks. sparks. sparks. it was all you could feel inside of you. you pushed her into you, not wanting any space disrupting you.

“y/n, i can’t believe it that i’m practically begging for you to take me right now..” you didn’t even hear the last part before you slammed your lips on her as you two slowly laid down on the cold yet oddly comforting ground with you on top of aeri.

“fuck.. you have no idea how long i’ve been waiting to see you underneath me darling..oh i can’t wait to see you quivering for me, only for me.” you enunciated the last three words before attaching your lips to the side of her neck as her fingers danced along your neck, slowly making their way into your hair.
