hey sorry for a non-screenshots post, but i've seen multiple people in the tags asking about/making comments on my screenshots asking how i get them to look the way i do.

i use the game's max graphics setting + custom shader settings (i'm still working on getting them worked out entirely to get rid of a noticeable banding effect that happens on the sky sometimes) to tweak some of the color grading (i shift it more towards a yellow + green tone), increase vibrancy, increase contrast, add a sharpening effect, as well as add more bloom to light sources. the vanilla game does not look like this - it's much more washed out.

i do not have some kind of crazy ass high-end computer - i use an acer gaming laptop with an nvidia rtx 3060 gpu, 16gb ram, intel core i7-12700H processor, and an ssd (which is a kind of a necessity to get p2 to run reasonably). the game runs pretty consistently at about 25-30 FPS with the highest graphics settings + the shaders running, which isn't a bother to me whatsoever. i occasionally have lag with the LOD adjustments, but not all the time, so i'm fine with it.

anyways that's just a bit of an explanation on my setup for anyone who was curious.

Just thinking about this as I mindlessly brainrot when watching the new Fallout show. I think the Elder Scrolls franchise would be infinitely more difficult to adapt than Fallout, just because explaining the world to an audience would take a lot more effort and there is way more cultural and physical diversity among the cast, not to mention a timeline that is several thousand years versus ~two hundred, a bajillion gods and kings and heroes and species of significance, a lot of interconnected trade networks and alliances, so on and so forth.

Whatever it ended up being, it would have to be a tiny infinitesimal snapshot fraction of what the entire Elder Scrolls lore can provide.

hey! i'm a recent follow but i wanted to say that i love what you're doing here. it's been inspiring me to jump into photomode more often, and i'm kind of tempted to start up my own blog lol. none of my friends are into cbp77, so finding blogs like this one have been really great! thanks for sharing them! (absolutely unwarranted story time but none of my friends were interested in this game either; the few that played approached it as if they were playing a GTA title. honestly i felt INSANE that i was the only one experiencing this intricate, tragic story about a character whose one meaningful bond is with a digital brain parasite that gets closer to killing them the closer they become. between the buggy release shitstorm and world goings on, cyberpunk-esque isolation came for me hard--i definitely spent more time with johnny and night city than any of my friends. and, in lieu of going outside, taking photos or social media updates of my own life, i got really into using this as a photo diary for v lmao)

this blog has really been an important constant in my life, so i would definitely recommend making one for fun!! i also just love seeing everyone's Vs and their own memories around NC. i hope you find some fellow gamers to share it all with.
