What is up with people that smoke acting like it's just a personal choice? You're literally inhaling addictive and harmful fumes? And also bothering the people around you who don't want to inhale harmful stinky stuff?

If you insist it's a choice I'm going to judge you for that, but I would prefer to see it as an involuntary addiction because that way I can at least empathise & hate on the tobacco industry with you

Top 5 Fate blorbos NOT including Limbo.

this one made me laugh bc like, yeah limbo is my special little princess but also he is one of my many special little princesses, like i love limbo but im not The Limbo Guy, if that makes sense (i have many guys)

Also, is your character's series more character driven or story driven (and if story driven, how much does the history behind it drive the plot)?

ok i have literally no idea about tropes sorry im just going to answer this only sorry fkgkgk 

But uh it starts very character driven and it still is but the plot is going pretty strong especially after Abashiri arc it’s definitely starting to shift gears a lot. 

But uh there are plenty of characters that are based on not only on actual people but also to other fictional ones - they’re not copies or anything though but like yeah. Characters can even be mixed of two different people, I recall Sugimoto for instance was based on the authors own grandfather and… I forget who else sorry but also Keiichirou Sakamoto and O-gin the Viper are also based on actual criminals with same names but ALSO put together as Bonnie and Clyde. . Shiraishi’s model was Shiratori Yoshie who actually also escaped from prison many times laughs.  Also Edogai is based on both Ed Gein and Norman Bates - so yeah fictional and real people mixed too

Also Toshizo Hijikata did exist but although they don’t know where he was buried, he was dead at the time. Nagakura Shinpachi on other hand was actually alive during the time the series happened but obv wasn’t involved to anything like this lol. Arisaka the creator of the rifles also appears but wasn’t involved in any coup d’etats like Tsurumi is planning as far as I know. Hokuchin unit did also exist and most of the 7th division have models there but I’d say they’re only lightly based on them lol I mean yeah 7th division is pretty wild in gk lol.

 Noda does lots of mixing up with popular culture and history with characters and therefore also mixes history up a little though big events likely remain the same, there are loads of real people appearing AND mentioned.

And uh since we have ainu as the deuteragonist..... Culturally speaking though we have LOTS of info on ainus - their food, religion, culture, language and we have people working with ainus that have been assisting Noda on the information and so on plus the series has Ainu Association’s endorsement.

tl;dr version: starts character driven but the plot is sort of always present there since the setting is fairly straightforward by itself (treasure hunt, Asirpa’s father). It’s not about actual historical events but mentions many of them but also mixes in both western and japanese popular culture in pretty smoothly.
